I decided to get a Graystone puppy after my experience with an older dog bred by them. I was his caregiver from the time he was 7 until he passed of old age at 14. He embodied all I love in the breed - friendly, eager to please, smart, and cheerful. We always used to joke about how he encouraged us to always have hope (he was a perpetual table beggar). Some of it was probably from the care he had throughout his life, but I was always impressed by how well he aged. People could hardly believe he was a senior dog based on the way he moved and acted. He was chasing deer and birds full tilt well after he got a "frosted face." When I was ready for a puppy of my own, it wasn't hard for me to choose a breeder. I felt like I had good communication with Beth during the whole process of getting my puppy. He's still got a ways to grow but so far he's just as lovely as my old friend. He's charmed everyone in his orbit, has a great temperament, and been very healthy. Overall, I think it was a great experience and while I'm definitely not ready for another dog yet, I would use them as my breeder again. read more

English Springer Spaniels have been a part of my life since childhood. My family has been getting our English Springer Spaniels from Graystone for decades, and now that I have a family of my own, that tradition has continued. Over the years, my family and I have had three beautiful Springer boys from Graystone. They have brought an incredible amount of joy, love, and companionship into our lives. Anyone who has owned a Springer knows how special they are--their loyalty, intelligence, affection, and personalities are truly something special. They don't just live in your home; they become an important part of your family. Our boys have truly completed our family, and we are very grateful for the happiness they have brought us. Our experience with Graystone has always been five-star, and after decades of experience with them, we would recommend Graystone without hesitation to anyone considering an English Springer Spaniel. For our family, there is simply no better dog. read more

We have two Springers from Graystone Manor. As I always tell breeder, Bethany Madden, these are the BEST Springers we have had (and we had 4 others from different breeders). Not only does she breed great springers but she maintains a relationship with families who purchase her puppies through a Graystone Facebook page where owners can share stories, pictures of fun activities , concerns, helpful hints, etc. And for more fun she produces an annual calendar with pics of our favorite furry friends. When enough folks are available she hosts a gathering for her springer families and their pups to do some in person sharing of stories while the springers get to interact with other springers. We highly recommend getting your next dog from Graystone Manor. read more

My male Graystone Manor-bred English Springer Spaniel, Roger, just hit two years old. He is the most loving and beautiful and smart companion I've ever experienced from a breeder. Bethany over at Graystone Manor takes great care in the breeding of her Springers. They're cared for closely, and are offered to families that have shown themselves to be champions of their puppy charges. I have two Springers, and watching -- yes "watching" -- Roger grow from a tiny puppy to the youngsters I brought home via YouTube weekly puppy updates was both unique and a treasure. Our family thanks Bethany and Graystone Manor for the care they gave baby Roger. We see that effort everyday as he runs and plays and gives us his total loyalty and love. read more

We are loving our two English Springers from Graystone Manor we acquired them in 2025. They are healthy happy active pups. We couldn't be happier. They're an integral part of our family's day to day life. Bethany at Graystone was awesome to work with. We live several states away from her location and had no difficulty receiving the pups. I really appreciated Bethany's communication throughout the whole puppy process. That is why I returned to Graystone Manor having adopted from them previously in the early 2000s. I highly recommend Graystone Manor puppies for anyone wanting quality breeding and well-adjusted English springer puppies. Julie Burns read more

We recently added our second Graystone Manor Springer puppy to the family. Our first Graystone Springer was an absolute joy. Jack was a beautiful sweet boy. Easily trained and made friends where ever he went. Our new boy Spencer has been a wonderful addition to our family. He's everything you like about Springers. Great looking and wonderful personality. Lots of energy, but great with kids. Owner Bethany Madden is excellent to work with. Puppies are raised in a home environment and her before and after information is extremely helpful. My wife and I highly recommend choosing a Graystone Manor Springer for your new family companion. read more

I had the pleasure of knowing 3 Graystone Springers over the years. Each one a little different than the others, but all the most gentle, loving, and well mannered dogs. It was a no brainer to go to Bethany when it came time to adopt one of my own. Her dedication to preserving the breed and ensuring the health and wellbeing of her dogs is only part of why I will never get a dog from anyone else. As a first time dog owner, Bethany has been an amazing resource and Springer Spaniel expert who truly cares about all of the dogs in the Graystone community. I hope to have many more Graystone Manor Springer Spaniel filled years read more

We've been getting Graystone Manor springer spaniels for almost 20 years... to date we've had seven Graystone pups. Our current littermates are 14-years-old and healthy as can be! Our 16-year-old crossed the rainbow bridge in May. Abby was the best dog and has created a hole in our family, so I'm thinking another Graystone is in our future. Best advice Bethany gave us? Let the pup pick you out. Two of them are five years old - one with each daughter- and they're great. Again, very healthy! We highly recommend Bethany Madden's ESS's. Beautiful, healthy dogs with wonderful temperaments- GREAT with little kids! read more

Both of my Springers came from Graystone Manor ESS. I was very impressed with their breeding practices and received the results of the parents health tests which were all negative. I also really liked that the puppies are raised in 5he house with the family and not in kennels. The puppies are well loved and it shows. Both my boys have been loving sweet dogs with wonderful temperaments. Graystone Manor is absolutely wonderful caring breeders that are always available if you need advice. I highly recommend them. read more

14 years ago we made the decision to get our first family dog and we decided on a spring spaniel, as my husband had always wanted one. We were pleasantly surprised to see there was a breeder locally and we jumped on it. This breeder is fantastic and Mayzee has truly been the best dog we have EVER had. So much so, we then got 2 more over the years. The temperament and beauty of these dogs speaks to how well the blood line is. You will not be disappointed with this breeder. read more
