    Some sand pipers

A beautiful park, the camp sites looked very roomy, and tons of bathrooms, which is always appreciated. My only complaint with this park was the lack of day use parking. I don't know if we missed it somewhere, but we ended up parking at a bathroom and walking around from there.

This is one of our absolute favorite campgrounds. The sites are spacious and very clean. Super friendly staff and camp hosts. We made a mistake with our reservation, and the staff accomodated our last minute request to the best of her ability. Our park host was absolutely outstanding and checked on us during a power outage (pop up camper with limited amenities). She also helped us navigate a propane problem we were having, which she did NOT have to do.

Mini sand dunes over looking the Pacific ocean.

Wonderful state park for families. We took a day trip to have a picnic on the beach, not crowded at all, restroom facilities near by with running water, much appreciated due to the current health pandemic (COVID), thank you to the States Parks & Rec. Service for keeping these running. A little chilly but with the appropriate attite one can enjoy this beach. We drove our truck, found a flat spot and enjoyed our family picnic! Great place to enjoy the Pacific ocean.

Absolutely beautiful. We didn't stay at the park so we have no experience with that but we did visit the park while we stayed in the area! You can drive on this beach which my kids just love. It wasn't too crowded except for the evenings when people were out claming. The beach was clean and we found lots of shells! Definitely will be back again soon!

Calling this a 'beach' is an understatement. I know it's a beach but it looks enormous here. It's more like the edge of the powerful Pacific Ocean. I don't know how many times I used the words "beautiful" and "unreal" while camping here. I don't know If am able to write a review describing Grayland Beach without it sounding like a sappy poem or without sounding like a mystified goofball. The pictures online do not do it justice. As far as amenities, the bathrooms are clean and this park is RV friendly. If you prefer a more outdoorsy experience with less pavement, the primitive sites will not disappoint. The water access and parking for the primitive sites are super close by making it an easy load in. Site #110 is the closest to parking. Site #111 and #112 are a little further and more secluded. Be warned that vault toilet closest to the primitive sites is like a Honey Bucket but rest assured that the flushing toilets and showers are not too much further away. Details aside, the ocean looks beautiful here. Bring a kite or a football!

The view of the beach just minutes from our campsite!

My very first experience with a yurt was quite beautiful. A walk - a short one - to the infinite Pacific. The soft, sandy beach beneath our feet. A view that can't be captured in pixels. Wildlife fluttering from tree to tree. A comfy couch and padded bed in a lockable and warm little hut. Bathrooms that were clean and modern in the woods. Friendly staff. Fire pits. Picnic tables. Handicap accessible sites. Beautiful wild flowers. I'd absolutely be back. Pro-tip: stop at the oyster shop in the way out to the park for a shooter and shot glass before you camp!

This is by far one of the most pristine state parks I have ever stayed at. If you're feeling like a trip to the WA coast and want a place near the beach that is neat and clean with enough trees to protect you from the elements, Grayland has to be on the list. The location is easy to get to, just off I-105 and about 20-30 minutes south of Aberdeen. Although you'll pass a few run-down homes on the way, don't let that fool you. The beach here is the biggest beach I have ever had the chance to visit. Others say it's a 3 minute walk from the campground to the beach but that's only half true. 3 minutes gets you onto the (little) dunes. Want to get to the water? Easily another 7-10 minutes, depending on how fast you like to go. But man, is it ever gorgeous. Back to the campground. The campsites are immaculate, large, and many are well equipped with water and electric hookups. As tent campers we felt spoiled. The showers use tokens but worth it for the privacy and cleanliness. The bathrooms were convenient as they were set up to accommodate a family - so we were able to brush our teeth together each night. Nice. Privacy in our space wasn't the greatest but it was just enough. (Space 103) The kids absolutely loved riding their bikes around our loop and we felt at ease letting them do so, thanks to the nice design of the park. No, there isn't a ton to do here, which is totally fine if you want to get in some serious beach time. There's the quaint town of Westport, a 10 min drive up the road. Keep going until you get to the harbor there and you'll find a cute array of shops to walk among. Grayland was a little off the beaten path but totally enjoyable. It did live up to its name during our visit (the fog only lifted on the day we left!), but we came prepared for any weather and that helped a bunch. If you decide to make the trek, bring rain gear, extra blankets and an open mind, and you'll be sure to enjoy!

    Nice New Restrooms!

New roads, new bathrooms, clean, well organized, and usually near full occupancy -- even in winter. Reservations online or by phone. Of the 120 camp sites, a dozen or so are yurts, they fill up especially early. Endless, driveable (!!) beach is a couple hundred feet away, just over the dune.

Yurt sites have nice table, fire pit and room to park an RV with electric & water hookups.

There were a few hikers there, but otherwise mostly those preparing to fish. We didn't visit the camping section, but they've got a decent sized day-use area with a good amount of parking, tables, and restrooms. We took the forest loop trail that leads from the lake along the stream through the forest and back around to the day-use, about 2 1/2 miles. There are sections of the trail that are simply gorgeous, and other parts not quite as pretty. But the trail is pretty fun, ups and downs, winding with steps and bridges. While the path is completely passable right now, it was very muddy in many places. A bit precarious at times, as some of the soupiest, slickest spots happened to be on inclines and declines. You'll definitely need waterproof shoes and prepare to get dirty, but Sylvia is good for a quick hike. They've got some interesting educational info along the trail too...and the lake has a very peaceful feeling.

If you have children the walk in spots are best because the are closest to the swimming and playground and bathrooms! There are plenty of amazing trails and all well kept! ***WATER FALL ALERT*** yes there is a waterfall and also a really neat dam that creates a man man water fall affect . Fishing is aloud (no motor I believe) Dogs on leash Swim at your own risk Drinks aloud (I think ... I see lots of them) Also a group camping site that is at the top of a hill and looks down at the water. Easily fits 8-10 tents and has a covered shelter ! Perfect for a family reunion camping trip and honestly a beautiful place to even consider as a wedding venue.

Getting out and walking the trail shows a sandy beach with tall grass. I was one of three people here. It was eerily quiet. We were so lucky to meet a couple of trail stewards in the uppermost parking lot who advised us how to pay (pay in advance online, write the confirmation code, and place on your dash) as there is no machine on site. They also made sure we knew which areas the dogs were allowed in (everything south of the wildlife refuge) and which they are not (wildlife refuge itself). And walked with us for the first part of the Dune Loop trail along the bay beach. Much appreciated as the trail on the beach can be a bit difficult during the higher parts of a tide. We saw about 15 eagles flying together all enjoying the clear day and thermals, so many amazing trees with gorgeous moss and ferns, and yes even in end of February...a couple of garter snakes. It's a fairly easy hike in terms of elevation but I will say you need to be surefooted along the beach for sure but also through the forest as the trail has many roots and pinecones. It was easy enough that our dogs were able to do the full 2.8 mile loop without needing to be toted. Overall it's worth spending a morning or afternoon exploring, especially on the bay side. The sound of the ocean and trees are the only 'noise' and the traffic seemed to just be a couple of other folks and a lot of sandpipers.
