Back then I decided not to do my bedroom or my kitchen but soon came to regret it. I recently decided my bedroom floors needed to be brought up to the same standard as the rest of my apartment. I was also sick of the ugly tile floors in my kitchen. Fast forward to a week ago when John's crew worked magic to upgrade the rest of my apartment floors (see pics attached). They did the same process I described above for my bedroom and added vinyl flooring to my kitchen. I highly recommend NYC Floor Pro and of all the contractors I've used during my current renovation, I was super pleased with the professionalism all around from dealing with John to working with his crew. I greatly appreciated how considerate and pleasant the crew was and appreciated how well they cleaned up after themselves (since I had painters coming in the next day). John was also super helpful in getting me all the documents I needed to submit a comprehensive alteration agreement that was approved quickly. Don't hesitate to go with these guys as I can attest my old floors (installed in 2017) still look brand new and everyone still compliments them.

Adam was not only responsive and responsible, he was so friendly and generous with his time and expertise. That is as rare as they come in in the zone of contracting. Most of all, the work his team did is superb. They took my dark parquet floors with 40 years of built up wax and polish to a fresh and sexy natural blonde vision to behold. They miraculously got out every deep scratch and scar in the old finish in areas where the floor looked hopeless. I kid you not, all the other contractors in the building marveled at his work because they knew what this floor looked like before it was sanded. The sandless work was immaculate. I came here the night they finished sanding and did not see any dust of any kind. We had almost no time at all and Adam made it work in 2 days before we moved in, including drying of the protective coating. The pricing was extremely fair and I am so grateful for everything he did in a stressful situation.

I can't say enough about Buono's…read more I had heard good things about the company from other folks in my building, as well as on Yelp, and from the first moment I requested a quote through Yelp, Lou Buono was responsive, courteous, and an actual pleasure to communicate with. If you've worked with a lot of folks in the trades, this is very much the exception to the rule, and as such I was pleasantly surprised. Lou quickly got back to me with a very reasonable quote, and once we agreed on the details and a date, we were off and running. We had some damage and discoloration on our white oak floors, and we wanted to sand and refinish them. Lou was helpful as we got together the paperwork my building required to get it done. On the agreed upon day, his guys showed up on time, and while they weren't the excellent communicators that he is (their English wasn't great), they were conscientious and obviously knew what they were doing. Lou said the work would take 1-2 days, and they were done in just a day. We had a minor hiccup after the fact, but Lou immediately investigated the issue, and handled it well. I'll definitely be going straight to Buono's next time I need any flooring work done.

Initially, the ordering…read moreprocess went well, we picked our floor, were shown the sample we picked and then sent 6 plank samples. All were the same color and we were happy to proceed. When the shipment lot was sent to us, 10 weeks later, it was a completely different color and tone. It had a green tint to it and honestly, all the planks were different tones. We were never alerted by the showroom nor anyone at PID that our floors would have many different tones and shades and as I said, all the samples were exactly the same color. Had we been told that things would be different, we would never have ordered as we wanted our entire house to have a consistency of floor color throughout. We were told that a sticker on the back of each sample clearly states that there would be a variance of colors but there were no stickers anywhere on our samples nor original sample at the showroom. Also, our architect said that he was disappointed with the color and more so, with how the shipment arrived, shrink wrapped in lots, making it unable to breathe and temperature adjust for the recommended week in said property. Also, they sent an additional 12 bundles, enough to floor another 700 to 800 sq feet. We paid over $60,000 for our flooring and ended up having to throw out the extra which we paid for. I called PID to complain about all of the above and all I got was from the owner was- -we are sorry you are unhappy, -you should have known ( everyone knows this) that there would have been variations of colors -your architect should have told you this ( I ordered this, not my architect) -we will try to do better next time -I'm sure you'll love the floors when they are laid down A very bad PID attitude and we will not be recommending them to anyone EVER. I wish I could post photos of the flooring here to show you all the proof of what I am writing. Very disappointed overall.
