( I now know that if he pays for ad space w/google his name can be at the top of that list regardless of his skill set or ability.) However at the time i did NOT know this. I read the google reviews on Mr. Doyle and they were OUTSTANDING. They said everything i needed to hear, everything that i was looking for in an attorney for my friend. So i gave Mr. Doyle a call. I spoke with a very helpful receptionist who put Mr. Doyle right through...i explained a summery of the case and he jumped right in..looking up some info i didnt have and overall eager to get started on the case. the next day i took Mr. Doyle $ 7,500 retainer and he took the case. The issues started right away him not knowing information he should know (court dates, pending charges) by now her case had become quite complex as more charges were popping up in multiple counties and also in another state. I had never been in this situation so i wasn't sure how to navigate the legal road blocks we were encountering. his website advertises he is able to work in Clackamas, Multnomah and Washinton County, yet when charges popped up in clackamas county Mr. Doyle refused to represent her on her new charges. That made zero sense to me. If your clinet has PREPAID you almost $8,000 ( & you've only spoke a couple times on phone met with her once which techniqually was free because he advertises a free consult) i would think you'd want to make it at least look like your earning the money. but NOT r. Doyle, he didn't even pretend to do a damn thing once he was paid. I mean can you blame him? if someone pays you in advance to do a job..hell, any job...you're gonna be less inclined to do it if you've already been paid. and it was apparent almost instantly. Honestly it was like as soon as he got paid and was hired, he completely changed...that eager, optimistic always available attorney became a quiet, pesimestic, hard to get ahold of passive aggressive jerk. He was hard to get ahold of & even when you got through he rarley knew what was going on with her case. god forbid you have a question about the other cases. we had nobody to navigate the legal end of all the other charges which was frustrating to say the least. He actually MISSED HER COURT. we sat in the courtroom shocked & angry that this man could keep $8,000 and not do a fucking thing to earn it. At least two times i called Mr. Doyle to pass along information (both times he was unaware and asked how i knew that information) i told him... I called the jail and asked. he only ever seemed concerned with money. Hiring Mr. Doyle was hands down one of the BIGGEST MISTAKES I've made to date. i wish someone would have told me all these things when i was researching best criminal defense attorney because MR. I heard good things about this firm from a friend of mine who had speeding tickets fought by them before. I heard stories of his sentences being greatly reduced and I was intrigued. Submissively, I paid them the $600 up front. I explained my case to Emily, who was my attorney. We agreed to attempt to reduce the mph caught from 102mph, to 99mph in hopes of reducing my fine (because it would be under 100mph) and expunge the risk of potential license suspension. - that was all I wanted. The court date came up, and Emily informed me that I didn't have to attend even though I was planning to. (I have never been to court before) Mid-court session, I find to have Emily texting me that the judge wasn't looking to budge on my case. She texted me asking "good things" or "responsible things" about me that she could tell the judge. I couldn't believe it.. She asked me if I left the group of friends that were with me as if that would change my behavior. SHE THEN ASKED ME IF I SOLD THE CAR. Smh The court date was postponed since I wasn't there. A few months later, we go back to court and I join her there. She was practically late. I spoke with the deputy who pulled me over, and her outside the courtroom before it began. She attempted to side hug me while talking to the deputy of "how much a good man" I am. I was honestly more annoyed of how the case went rather the result. I feel like I was just targeted as an easy client, and seen as childish and quick way to make money. If I knew this was how it was going to go, I would've made a better case myself. I'm not sure why I didn't make the report sooner. Partially because it takes too long, and too busy with my life to offer attention towards my past.
