I was kicked of this store for "looking homeless" and was accused of stealing. When I walked in I…read morewas on the phone with my girlfriend and was talking to her about the stuff in the store. The manager followed me around the entire time and stood within 5 feet of me at all times repeatedly asking me questions regarding what I was looking for. I talked about the exact gear that I needed and he immediately referred me to another store without even looking to see if I he had it. He interrupted my phone call and told me I "looked homeless" and that I needed to get out and I can pay for the things that I had in my hand, a few hooks and weights. At that point I was disgusted with his behavior and no longer wanted to do business there. I asked for a real reason why he was doing that and he repeated that I looked homeless and that he was calling the police. There was nothing I could do or say to convince so I decided to leave. West Marine HAS to do something about this it is unacceptable.

Friendly, personable, no complaints. Parking in front. Little soccer store with anything you'd need. We bought shin guards, a clothing set that came with the jersey, shorts, & socks. Talk about a steal! Also purchased a headband & some cleats for my son. Came out to a total of $135.02 which seems like a reasonable price to me for everything we got. Forgot to get him a soccer ball his size & recently wanted to purchase some SDFC gear. Will deff go back for our needs. Also, best inventory for toddlers my son's size. Although I couldn't find any Nike gear in smaller sizes. You will not find the same inventory at a normal Dick's/sports store. Came here specifically for the variety of items geared towards toddlers.

The girl then went on saying well since it's being played with and kicked around things happen! Mmmm I believe a soccer ball is meant for it to be kicked and played around! It's not meant to last two weeks tho!!! Also the ball says on there that it "2 years shape guaranteed" not even two weeks is guaranteed at this store!!

I understand theft prevention, but this felt uncomfortable and honestly a bit insulting. If the store doesn't trust customers, how are we supposed to trust them with our personal belongings? Shopping should feel welcoming -- not suspicious. This policy left a weird impression and makes me hesitant to come back.

I have bought a good number of rifles, I think 6 old used rifles at this point and one handgun from him, and have never had a problem. He offers lay-a-way for most of the firearms in the store. Albert, the owner, also has the best firearm transfer rate in the area; so if you need to have something sent, he's your best bet. Just be sure to call him before you have something sent to him to make sure it 1. Can be accepted in California, and 2. He's willing to have it sent to him. I've seen way too many people come in asking where their gun is and him having no idea what gun they are talking about because they did not contact him prior to having it sent. Its a one man show there so if there is a line, you need to be patient! Albert will get to you take care of you as soon as he's able. His prices on new stuff is between low to average San Diego prices. His consignment guns can sometimes be priced too high, but that's more the price the is seller then him. It's a great little store and Albert is a great owner.
