Imagine the strong odors you're inhaling... There's a Disney-like tram that picked us up and took us around the campus. After the tour, the kids wanted to check out the exhibits. There's a little museum in the center with very informative hands-on displays. I would highly recommend this educational tour. So much to learn here.

The Environmental Learning Center at Hyperion is the unsung hero of Los Angeles and something that…read moreshould be up there with LACMA, Natural History Museum and The California Science Center... heck even the Getty! I recently took a tour with Dr. Alan Rodriguez (he's working on his doctorate but I'm going to go ahead and give him the title early) and was fascinated by the process of how all the crap in Los Angeles ends up in the ocean and left with a greater appreciation on why it's important to sort my trash and put effort into throwing things away in the designated bins at say, Starbucks or Target and at home. A little background, I've been on various environmental tours over the course of 10 years and while they're super informative and fascinating they can get a bit sciencey (it's a word, Google said so) and lose most people and cause them to scroll on their phones or start snoring. What I love about this learning center and the tour given by Doc. Rod. is that they have a lot of interactive exhibits that seem like they're designed for school children, but they're actually easy to understand and engaging for all ages. Alan's tour of the learning center as well as the plant itself is what really brings this place to life. I saw the process of how the sewage gets treated in the learning center and then I got the V.I.P tour of treatment plant and saw the parts of the machine that is wastewater treatment and heard some really cool stories of the history of this place. One cool fact I learned (that's non wastewater related) is that the treatment plant is kind of like a back lot of sorts where one could inquire about filming in select sites of the treatment plant. The mayor allows for filming to occur on this site for free in an effort to bring back filming to Los Angeles. Another cool fact, the plant is also powered by crap! That's right, the methane gas released from treating the sewage is what keeps this plant lit AF. How you ask? You'll have to take the tour to find out. If you're visiting Los Angeles and are looking for interesting, cool and unique things to do then add this to your list, especially if you're arriving from LAX or departing LAX. One last thing, Doc. Rodriguez speaks Spanish and can give a Spanish speaking tour! Si se puede!

Take care of your business, especially if you are a minority owned business, DO NOT let a good thing go to waste. I was thinking about taking these courses, but now I am second guessing my decision. Be good to your customers, they put food on your table, make this a great experience, so these same people will have 5 stars or at least 4 stars like Rhaenys T. and put your name out there in a good light. What helped me is my experience training at SCSI and the internship that I just completed with the school. It helped me get the job and now I have two assignments in the next month where pay is at $25 an hour. I also just had a law firm contact me after I posted an add, interested in me working for them. Your success is limited by your own limitations. Many people might complain they can't find a job, as one previous yelper mentioned before me, but it's California. What did you expect? We're overcrowded with people in every market and every job. Competition is fearce. So don't be surprised if you ask an interpreter for advice/info and they give you the run around. They're just trying to protect their livelihood. It's a dog-eat-dog world. What she failed to mention, (yelper) is that the LA court IS saturated with Interpreters who are contractors. That much of it is true. As well as other courts in LA county. But what she failed to mention is that the Government is actually H I R I N G people to work through the Court system. Problem is no one wants to work for them. Why? Because the pay is significantly lower than that of a contractor and/or they don't wish to be tied down to a 9-5 job. Understandable. But don't complain if you can't find jobs because I've found P L E N T Y all over the state of CA and the pay is around $70-80k. I've also found jobs outside the state. So in all, your success depends on Y O U. No school can promise Y O U job placement, Y O U have to get off your lazy butt and look for work. I wasn't raised to depend on someone to serve me on a silver platter and because of that, I'm already finding success. All thanks to SCSI.

So far other doctors treatment recommendations seem to be cookie cutter and difficult to connect with the office for appointments. Coworker of mine had an evaluation here and spoke highly of his assessment and treatment. I decided to give it a shot and have been very happy with the services here. It helps to know that the doctors here are actual experts in their field and teach other doctors about ADHD and how to treat it. They are authors of books and research articles which helped me feel like I would be in good hands given their reputations. They take their time and easy to communicate with, so I've been happy to be a patient here for several years. Getting the right healthcare is an investment so getting the best care from a private practice was one of the best things I did for myself and my family. And the front office manager is a real gem so communicating with the office has been a game changer compared to other places.

From initial contact they were very nice and accommodating to our schedule and what we are looking for. Our direct scheduler has always made her self available to us by early on giving us all of her contact information and i can reach her easily by any means and if something were to arise she calls me right away to let me know if a BT cant or us running late. Our supervisor is also amazing shes also available to us rain or shine if we have any questions or concerns about programs. She comes often to over see sessions to better accommodate his programs to him and keep him challenged. Once that my son got really sick they both were checking up on him to make sure he is okay and as a mother that really made me elated because they dont see him as just a number or another case, they saw him as a child, like a family member and that will forever stay with me. His BTs are always trying new ways to connect with him and make sessions fun and different everytime. They are always asking how he is, whats different, any new favorite thing or songs. They also help guide me so i can run his programs myself once they leave so we can continue on striving foward. I cant rave enough about our team but aside from us his parents his bigger cheerleaders are his team. They celebrate just as hard as we do when he reaches milestones that at one point seemed lightyears away. I hope this review helps a parent feel more at ease about taking their child to ABA therapy at behavior frontiers .
