My wood pellet stove had stopped being a joy to use. The pull to clean out the pot was frozen, it would take two, three and four times of flipping the switch before it would finally produce flames. Last winter I didn't even use a full bag of pellets due to lack of use. Then I heard about service from Grate Flames. Joe told me on the phone it probably just needed a good cleaning. I had my doubts and thought possibly something serious. When he arrived for my appointment, on a Sunday no less, he not only cleaned the stove and air access, he got the remote control for the on/off and thermostat control working like new. I've now used the stove for two weeks since service and it turns on the first time, the remote allows me to use it again as a form of heat with thermostat control. I'm truly, once again as happy with my wood pellet stove as the day I purchased it. It's working like it's brand new. An honest service business, at a reasonable price. Just had Joe come out and assess our problems with our gas fireplace. We spoke at length before hand on our phone call and answered a lot of my questions even before he came out. Joe is none sense straight forward and completely honest on what you need or don't need. He is very kind and friendly. He will absolutely not push you to buy something you don't need or even if you can't afford at the time. As the case with my husband and I. He gave us the prognosis the recommendation where to buy the correct log set for our gas fire place a brand he trusted, but also since I suffer from migraines to go to the store and have them burn other log sets as they emit different smells I will be using Joe again when we can get the log sets. We have used Joe Woods at Grate Flames for numerous tasks and we keep coming back as we have always been pleased. Joe has serviced and cleaned both of our has fireplaces and even installed a remote to operate the one in our bedroom. He has cleaned out the dryer vents.
