So many wonderful, funny memorable memories, and the competitive activities, against the camps...the triathlon and the softball tournaments. This was our family generational summer camp experience! Now, I'm building a Glamping business currently. My experiences with family here have been Golden! Thank you Camp Nawakwa especially this location for the love, nature and family atmosphere that created my will to start a new chapter, inspired by this place. I haven't been back in years but know it's a magical place in my heart. Thank you!

We we are and have made it a permenant family vacation each year as long as we can. The camp coordinators (especailly Matt) are just great and do a fabulous job making more activities than you can even do. The North Camp is definately the place to be if you want to the great beach where most of the kids are. Kirby is best keeping everything running like clockwork and really understands what the families want and even asked more then once what we liked most and if therr was anything we would improve on. My kids meet so many new friends that it was hard to keep track of them, yet I really fel t safe allowing them to be out of my site. You have really "good" people stay there that have been for years and decades in some cases.

Both parties agree to reconnect the next day to review a possible 2-day rental if weather conditions improved. He then calls the next day to ask why we didnt pick up the rental the prior day (that they cancelled), went back against his word said he would be billing for all 3 days as it was our fault for not picking up the rentals AND his "system" would not allow him to refund or change any reservations. We fully canceled the rental due to poor and shady business practices and rented somewhere else (Go to Tracksides instead). Boat Sport calls back 45 minutes later now wanting to negotiate "a new deal" and would now (again) honor a 2-day rental and not charge for Friday but we had already gone with another rental place. Next day places a charge against the credit card for thousands of dollars for a 3-day rental and full deposits. Called and they would not discuss details. Talked over us and stated everything was documented, it was their policy and he was entitled to all the money even though no services were rendered. Kept changing his story - flip flopping and didn't keep his word. SUPER SKETCHY! DO NOT RENT FROM!

The staff is great. The food is great, The counselors are amazing. The scenery is the best in WI. The camp is run so well. My son went to a different camp this year because his friends wanted him to join them. The camp was very sad compared to Manitowish and run very poorly. So when you have something to compare it to Manitowish looks even better. Also, they have great scholarships if you are in financial need! Big bonus. These camp memories will last forever!

My girlfriend and I enjoy visiting beautiful parts of the country and going on day hikes. Even…read morewhen these hikes are only a couple miles long, I panic and begin to despair towards the back half. So it's important that we find the right mix of natural beauty and for my sanity's sake, brevity. Fallison Lake Nature Trail is a 2.5-mile loop trail rolls through rich birding terrain. The lake is surrounded by a mixed coniferous/deciduous forest of balsam fir, hemlock, red pine, white pine, sugar maple, white birch, and large-toothed and trembling aspen. The trail crosses bogs and a hemlock glade. Some of these ancient giants of the Northwoods are hundreds of years old. The longest loop of the trail goes all the way around 50-acre Fallison Lake: we took a shortcut and skipped the final bog to cut down on my whining!

A lot of the dogs just kind of sit around and relax. - Not a lot of shade (not really any) so it can get hot at times.
