Cold press juice is sooo 2014. This year it's all about Mylk. "Huh?" you say? We're talking nut and…read moreseed milks here people. Not just almond, but cashew, sunflower and peanut varieties too! How does a carob and black tahini mylk sound? Or a spiced almond and cashew milk with the added super powers of cacao and maca (who cares what the health properties are, it's damn delicious!) Juice Bureau is run by the Argo crew up the road, and they seem to know what they're doing. Their trendy and tiny little shop has a flower ceiling and good looking healthy staff who can tell you the ins and outs of each of their nut mylks, and juices. There's dozens of styles to choose from, but I was particularly impressed that they have a number of sugar free options, including some sweetened with rice malt syrup rather than the usual dates, which isn't so great for people like me who try and avoid fruit sugar as much as possible. The packaging is stylish and you can try loads of flavours before deciding on your choice. They'll also organise a one day juice cleanse package if you're feeling like you need to rid your body of the evils of too much booze and rich food. Or, you know, if you just want to feel extra virtuous by sucking down green juice six times a day.

Well, well, well! This was a nice surprise. This cold pressed juice coming to you from Argo and…read morewill give Pressed Juices a good run for their money. A delightful little store nestled amongst the busy Parade shopping district; Juice Bureau offers a great selection of cold pressed juices. Cold pressed juices are really amazing and so much more flavoursome than other kinds. They are reviving and if you are going for the greener kind, are giving your body what it needs in minerals and vitamins. The selection at this store is quite wide. Check out their menu to see what will soon be sold in this store. They are fairly new and are testing their series, but I see growth here, especially as a local producer. My favourite in this store by far has to be the Cherry Ripe. Fresh black cherries, cacao, almond milk & dates. In fact, I rather have this version than the bar kind! The store is decorated with a vast arrangement of flowers on the ceiling, just making it feel warm and inviting. You kind of want to just hang out in it for an hour or two trying all of the varieties of juices. But alas, the store is too small. I look forward to see their range and client base grow. This is a winner Argo!

Just off Magill Road you will find this bright and bubbly café ready to make you a great cup of…read morecoffee. Busy during lunch periods and weekends with the locals, you will need to get here early to get a good spot. The café is not that big, so be sure to take that into consideration depending on the time of the day. All of the tables are lined with butchers paper and crayons are on offer for the kids to draw, while parents enjoy some well earned recharge time. I love that the café collects fun drawings and pops them up on the wall to display! I can imagine that children would love to see their pieces of art on the wall when they return. If you need coffee, you will fine strong and flavoursome beans here. Just what I love! I like a well rounded coffee that picks me up with a kick of caffeine. That is why I always order a strong flat white. And that is exactly what I received. Perfect! After a long morning, coffee always goes well with a treat. Oh yeah, bring on the Dutch Style Brownie. A little drier than most brownies; But I think that is the style. Nice chocolate flavour and really hit the spot. I am told that the brekkie and lunch here are also really good. So I endeavour to return to try that as well. Last thing to point out, the staff are really lovely. Be sure to know that you and your guests will be well looked after.

The new kid on the block is definitely worth a stop. With their 'nothing is too much trouble…read moreattitude', interesting and delicious menu and excellent coffee, the owners are on a winner. They have an all day breakfast, lunch and snacks menu which ranges from a few dollars to around $13 for the bigger meals. Vegetarian & gluten free options available, and they'll happily mix and match if the selection doesn't quite fit your bill. They're currently only closed Monday and open 8-4 Tuesday - Saturday; 9-4 Sunday. It's tiny (maybe 5 tables) with a few spots outside, but well worth putting on your coffee route. Masses of parking around the back, but slow down coming up Magill Road or you'll miss it. Keep an eye out for their big yellow sign and a couple of yellow chairs out the front.

I had an affair. I cheated on my NutriBullet with Pressed Juices…read more I consider myself to be something of a juice connoisseur, yet I have no idea what exactly a pressed juice is. I know it's healthy and therefore good for you, so that's about all I need to know, right? They're also delicious. There's a menu full of combinations with spices in most that I've never tried in a juice before (think turmeric and cayenne) and if you're not careful, you'll end up grabbing the first juice because it's - honestly - a little overwhelming. Be patient and read the board! Rundle Street is the perfect location for this succulent-laden, wooden crated juice bar. It looks like something that Instagram is made for - minimalist, chic, perennially sunny inside and gives the kind of vibe that makes you feel healthier simply by walking through the doors. The staff were friendly, helpful, but not pushy. They were unobtrusive, which is great when you're trying to decide between Zest #4, Zing #3 and something with almond milk. The only thing that I worry about? I've been past before and they've sold out - let's cross our fingers that smack bang in the middle of an Adelaide summer, management up their orders. No juice on a 40+ degree day? The hipsters will revolt.

So, you can understand my happiness when I found out Pressed Juices was now open in Rundle Street! I guess you could say it's been a 'positively life changing' experience. After walking down into the small, edgy and fresh store, my friend and I witnessed a huge fridge full of the latest nourishing, raw, cold-pressed juices and smoothies! The choices are endless and all have different health benefits which are explained by the lovely sales assistants who knew their product well (we all love that!). What I loved about this place, is if you are the indecisive type, you are able to try every single juice/smoothie Pressed Juices have to offer. Needless to say, we tried several types .. but it really is the best way to choose and also adds a little fun into the whole experience. If you want to know the breakdown of the juice/smoothie flavours and benefits .. head to their website. It's loaded with information that'll help you! www.pressedjuices.com.au Rest assured, this place will take over! It is by far the coolest juice/smoothie store I've been too and I am so thankful that it's here to stay in Adelaide!
