The one qualm I do have is that a good percentage of the packages I order go missing. I don't know who to blame for this issue. The delivery services or package thieves. This is frustrating and adds to monthly costs.
DO NOT RENT HERE!…read more My fiancé and I rented a 1 bed apartment here for a year. For starters I'd like to say that everyone in the leasing office is rude and has an attitude as if they're better than you. Don't be offended by their "better than you attitude" almost all of the workers live on the property of this so called "luxury apartment" with us tenants so I assume that's why they're always in such a crappy mood! The unit we moved into was filthy. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned. Glue all over the floors, paint splatters on the floor, oven was covered in grime. Unfortunately we had already signed our lease so there wasn't much we could do. I cleaned up what they couldn't and moved on. Almost a WEEK into our new move at our "luxury" apartment the hallways became a nightmare. At least every week there was something new. Garbage left everywhere, horrendous smells, liquids spilt all over the stairs and hallways. Honestly you name it and it was there! We contacted the office a handful of times about the issue but they brushed it off. The garbage would sit there for WEEKS before it was picked up. The floors would stay in that condition for MONTHS until someone came and cleaned them. I started to notice that they only came and cleaned it up when they were having a walkthrough with new tenants. It was truly disgusting. Thankfully our lease was ending and we moved out two weeks before we had to turn the keys in. I spent two weeks driving back and forth to get that unit cleaned. Obviously to ensure we get our full deposit back. Unfortunately we didn't receive our full deposit back. They decided to take out $574.86. In all of our years of renting we have never "not" received our full deposit back yet alone have THAT much taken out. They charged us $190 for a cleaning fee and $384 for "renovations". We have no pets, no children. Just a young couple renting alone. We had a couple of holes in the wall from our TV being mounted that we patched up but other than that the unit was in pristine condition. I believe that we got taken advantage of by the workers in the leasing office (Dillon Mertens & LaDawn Fox) and Aspire Apartments as a whole. Fast forward to a month after being moved out and no longer on the lease I receive an email from PG&E stating that I have an outstanding bill. I call PG&E to further investigate and they told me that my name is still on the PG&E account for that address. They informed me that my Landlord or my apartment complex is responsible for removing my name off of the bill which Aspire obviously didn't do. So now I am getting billed for another tenants electricity. I have called the leasing office at Aspire everyday now for a week. The call goes straight to a voicemail. The unfortunate thing about all of this is that we were and are great tenants. To get treated like this is mind boggling. I hope future tenants can read this review and think twice before renting here. I hope Aspire Apartments can do the right thing and fix not only our situation but every other tenant that that has been wrongfully treated by them.

I toured 4 different apartment buildings before settling on Tracy Park. The bedrooms and living rooms are a good size, and there is a full-size washer and dryer in each unit! Essentially, Tracy Park has all the amenities of other apartments that call themselves "luxury" but are really not anything but more expensive and have tiny rooms and are located pretty far from restaurants and stores. It would be nice to have security parking, especially since these apartments are located so near to the 205. The appliances & cabinetry are a bit dated but function fine. Cons: -No designated parking. If you worked late in the day, it would be really hard to find a parking spot. Pretty inconvenient when you have children. -The walls are paper thin. I lived on the middle floor so I constantly heard the college students above us and the people below us playing loud music all the time. My downstairs neighbor would constantly bang on my floor because my 10 month old was "walking" too loud. -There was a HUGE roach found in my bathroom, which was pretty disgusting. Overall the place was aesthetically pleasing, which I liked. Probably not the best apartment for families, due to the thin walls.

However, almost 2 weeks ago I went into the office to address a parking issue which has since been ridiculous. I come home and literally there is no parking! I addressed the issue to the staff that a lot of the vehicles parked here have no parking permit. Out of state cars, cars I see consistently parked day in/day out. Erica makes excuses for these people stating 1. they have tow trucks driving thru here all the time to ensure people comply (which is a lie because then more than 20 cars would be towed already) 2. the residents here must have lost/damaged their tags and never come to the office to replace it 3. they have overnight guests 4. guests are visiting for the day (every day and night?!?!) All of which are not my problem. Everyone signed the contract stating permit parking only and if you have overnight guests they must contact the office to obtain a temp permit, also a big ass sign at the entry gate saying permit parking only!! Everyone who lives here are adults, treat them like one! Tow their damn cars for not complying otherwise revise your contract regarding permit parking and remove the sign out front. And while you're at it, remove the gates too. Clearly anyone can enter thru the 'exit' gate not using a code or the remote. Leasing staff is aware but have no done anything about it. Just remove those gates altogether. Might as well.

They sent out pest control same-morning and they came and dealt with the roaches by spraying. We have only seen 1 dead one since. Maintenance came and deep cleaned, in addition to resolving every single one of the issues we mentioned. Although the move-in wasn't fully perfect, the team went more than above and beyond to make it right. I am fully confident that this is a one-off issue and the team is pivoting to prevent similar issues in the future. Some other pluses are that we can't hear the neighbors at all! We were in a 2b2b so I think there's more separation between the spaces and it was a really quiet experience. The fixtures and appliances are nice and in great condition, and the ground were really well-kept. Overall, just like with any move, I'd be ready for there to be potential hiccups. Give yourself extra time while moving and keep in mind that with any multi-family property, things will need fixing the first week or so. Just communicate with management. From when I first moved in to now the whole apartment culture has gone down hill. Can't walk /drive through the parking lot without fear of being hit by someone speeding through. Don't get a first floor or second floor apartment. You'll be sandwiched between noise city if you have rude neighbors. Get a third story. Yes you will have to lug everything up and down three flights of stairs but no one lives above you. If people live above you and are heavy footed or just have 0 regard you'll hear everything. People slam their doors it's going to shake your apartment walls. You'll live above someone and so much as sneeze and you get a sensitive person below you they'll hit on your ceiling. Management doesn't care though. That's apartment living. You get no help. People play music whenever. Slam things all hours. Kids allowed to scream bloody murder all the time it's a lawless complex. Your packages will get stolen. It's listed as luxury apartments and I can't see why. You are paying upwards of 2600 for no peace. I feel like I'm constantly seeing people move out and I'm totally getting why now. The pieces of the puzzle are all coming together. Management has no control over what's happening and they don't even pretend to want to care or help. Bless you if you come here and hope your experience is better. I reviewed this complex 1 year ago and I'd like to wrap up my final thoughts for living at Gateway…read moreStation. I've read some of the previous reviews and I've got to say that I've had a completely different experience than half of the Yelpers. 1. As far as parking, I've never had an issue with it. I lived in the complex from April 2020-April 2022. If you want guests to stay overnight you just have to ask for a parking pass, they ALWAYS complied with me. I think it's entirely reasonable for the complex to have strict rules in guest stays. 2. Noisey? Not at all, and I lived right next to the park. Of course you'll hear the children playing while their parents supervise. That's normal. If you choose to live in apartment, and you aren't restricted to the first floor due to disabilities then I recommend you live on the 3rd floor. Only time I ever heard my neighbors is when they shut their doors. The front doors do slam pretty hard, they are heavy. 3. I kept my thermostat at 69 degrees in summer and 71 in winter. I lived in the 1 bed, 1 bath, 726sqft unit. My bill only ranged from $29-$85. My shared water bill averaged between $55-65 a month. The central heat/air is in great shape, the water heater and pressure is also wonderful. Very harsh water, so prepare for staining. Nothing a quick clean-up can't fix. 4. Management accommodated the hell out of my stay. Apartment management can be a nightmare, luckily this was not the case for me. I'm so grateful for what they've done on their end to help me. So thank you, Shelby. Their responses are timely, maintenance staff is very friendly, so I'm not sure where the bad reviews are coming from in regards to the staff? They always said hello with a smile. 5. Pigeons. They are true pests and probably the only negative part about my living situation. They've taken over Tracy in general and they unfortunately took over my balcony. All in all, I was very sad to say goodbye to my apartment today. I highly recommend Gateway Station. It's a beautiful apartment, updated, spacious, and has a great layout.
