Today I visited Grant line smiles for the first time and I must say, I had an amazing experience. Everyone in the office is so attentive they explain explained to you everything thoroughly, and in depth. My dental hygienist with Penelope she is very knowledgeable and she did an amazing job. When I first walked in their receptionist, is a beautiful person inside and out. The dentist was very knowledgeable. She addressed my concerns and assured me that they would take care of everything and explained the order and timeline in which things would be taken care of. This is definitely a different experience from any dentist that I've been to and I was super excited to share with my best friend so that she can try them too, and I'll be taking my daughter there as well. read more

Very friendly staff! My 4 year old loved the fish tank they have in the waiting room. When he got his teeth cleaned the hygienist made him feel comfortable and kept telling him what a good job he was doing. At the end of the cleaning they gave him a coin to get a prize from their slot machine. Great experience! read more

I had a dental emergency at 8:00pm last night and was in immediate need of dental care after chipping my front tooth. I was referred to Grantline Smiles and they were highly recommended. I My wife left a message for them after-hours and they reached out first thing in the morning and got me setup as a patient and were able to see me the same day. They did a fantastic job on my temporary filling and am scheduled for a permanent fix in a couple weeks. Everybody was super friendly and I am very pleased with the work they did. I have a huge phobia of dentists, and while I am aware of how ridiculous it may sound to some, their staff does not make me feel that at all. They are so compassionate and caring. From the dental assistant to the dentist, I couldn't have had a better experience. My phobia is still very much active, but they do everything they can to alleviate it throughout the entire visit, reassuring me and asking me if I need a break or need anything else. It's hard to find a good dentist. That's why I like Grantline Smiles so much. The dentist is personable, capable, and doesn't mind taking questions. The hygienist is wonderful... she seems to like her job and she's thorough. The front office is good too. With dental insurance these days, if billing isn't done timely, complete, & accurate a patient can have reimbursements denied. First they're very friendly and have good communication. I was very impressed with the dentist and the attentive care given to me. Not in a rush. The assistants were just as caring and listening to my issues. I've been with one dentist in Pleasanton for over 25 plus years and the quality of their care is not the same since original dentist retired. I tried one other dentist here in Tracy but went back to Pleasanton, because of their billing and always wanting money from me when I had double coverage, this was an issue for me. What really impressed me with Grantline Smiles is that, I wasn't sure if I had already taken X-rays for the year and not wanting to come out the pocket for this I was willing to wait. But the dentist needing them before cleaning my teeth, said that they would wave fee if after billing my insurance denied it. A dentist that cares. To keep this brief. I went in for a cleaning and X-rays. X-rays were done. The female dentist said I needed a deep cleaning. Thank you but no thank you. I was lied to. Twice. The hygienist proceeded to tell me my insurance would only cover one of the cleaning and not both. I told her I have no interest in the deep cleaning at this time. I have other financial obligations at the moment. She left and brought the receptionist in. Who proceeded to push the iPad in my face telling me "it's not that expensive" I said again. I'm not interested. Only in the cleaning. Then the hygienist said "well your insurance won't cover the cleaning since you need a deep cleaning" they did not do the cleaning. I ended up leaving. And called my insurance. Who confirmed neither is the case. The deep cleaning is up to me. And my basic cleaning would have been covered. Really unfortunate. I had higher hopes for this place. read more

This dental office is very clean, and the staff members are cheerful. They follow new COVID-19 Dental Practice Safety Guidance above and beyond in utilizing every means to prevent transmission in the office in keeping their patients and staff members safe. During my first visit, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Dr. Shiao has a very gentle touch and demonstrates efficient skill in replacing two of my fillings. I have waited well over a year to make this review. I had come off of a very bad experience with another dentist in 2015 here in Tracy. I had my front six teeth done with 2 crowns and 4 veneers. Fast forward to 2020 and they all started coming off. I had gone to another dentist and he was unsuccessful in trying to keep them on. Then the Covid lock downs started and I had to wait to get my teeth fixed. So I looked for and finally found a dentist (Dr Liao at Grantline Smiles) with great reviews. After the lockdowns were over I went to see her and she was amazing right from the beginning. She assured me that she would work with me and make sure I was completely satisfied with the results. She was so professional, patient and kind to me and I'm in love with my new teeth. They look amazing and best of all they have stayed on from the first day until now, a year and a half later. I absolutely loved coming here. It was easy to schedule and I didn't have to wait long, there were plenty of options for me to chose from for appointments. The staff were friendly and attentive from the minute I walked in the door until the minute I walked out. The office is clean, adorable and colorful. I definitely felt at home here. Unfortunately, Dr Yi suddenly passed away in the last year. He was always the strength in the office (Tracy at least), and the staff pretty inefficient. This situation has only worsened, with his passing, caretaker dentists, and seemingly rudderless staff. Recently I called the after hours line with a problem of a painful cracked tooth. No one ever called me back. And, worse, when I called the office to say how upset I was, all I got was "oh, it must have been one of the other front desk staff"...(duhhh! Do we not have ANY customer service skills, let alone empathy? So, stay away. Whoever's buying this practice is swimming up a waterfall!!! Not a good bet. read more

I cracked a filling in my lower molar last Tuesday and have been dealing with the pain ever since. Yesterday, it became too much to handle. After discovering my dental insurance only covers half of the necessary root canal and that Manteca Dentistry doesn't accept payment plans I found Dr Yi. I called the office at 330pm and explained my situation. Their response.... "when can you get here?" I was out the door in a flash. My wife's cousin works here as a dental hygienist, so I won't kid myself in thinking they took me right away just because. Anyways, upon arrival I only had to fill out a few forms instead of the stacks of forms most places make new patients sign and was in a chair having x-rays done within ten minutes. Dr Yi came back and told me I need a root canal, but they rarely do that work on the same day as you come in. His plan was to drill to the nerve, deaden the nerve to relieve pain, put a temporary filling in place, send me home with antibiotics and pain meds, and schedule an appointment for a week out to come have the root canal done. Overall an excellent experience. I Highly recommend Dr Yi to anyone who will listen. He is quick, efficient, and more importantly a genuinely nice guy who explains everything before he does it. read more

I typically have HUGE anxiety issues going to the dentist. I have since I was a child and probably always will. I've gone to the same dentist my entire life, however my husband raved about this place so much I decided to try it out (after much convincing on his end due to my anxiety of changing dentists. My old dentist was just hard to get into with appointments) after being nervous all day about going to the dentist, I instantly felt calm as soon as I walked into smiling faces & sweet personalities at the front desk. Paperwork was quick & easy, the dental hygienist, Melissa promptly took me back was incredibly sweet & comforting from the get go. This great experience only continued once the doctor came in she put my anxiety to ease instantly.
