ZERO stars. We asked for a standard pool with a tanning ledge and deck jets. The woman was Rude and extremely unprofessional. Could not get past her complete lack of interest in selling us a pool. Gran pools took ~two years to build my pool, constant excuses for delays. All while starting and building a pool at the other end of my street after mine and finishing well before mine. I got nothing special, just deck, pool and cage. Many, many issues during construction. They dug through my irrigation wires, hit my house with backhoe, used the wrong color grout, painted around the pool alarm. Even their own employee was baffled when he saw that. But, they did nothing to fix anything. I chose not to review the company in 3/2023 when they finished the pool. I was just happy to be done with the process and finally able to use something I had been paying for, for over a year. Loan repayment starts upon the first bank loan disbursement. I don't like to add to the negativity in society. Fast forward to now. Three weeks ago, my pool suddenly started losing more water than normal. I reported and they responded quickly, felt good. But the leak continues. Today after the third visit, the tech tells me it's probably a result of chemical issues, my fault. The grout that was the incorrect at installation is failing. Above the water line, the grout had some green, I had the flu and it's raining so I have not scrubbed the walls in two weeks. My chemicals are checked by Pinch a Penny every Saturday. But now it's the chemicals and my fault. On top of that, "oh by the way, we have not done your final inspection." The inspector shows up today, I am not home $75 please penalty (my fault). An inspection being done two years after the pool was completed. I fixed my own irrigation wiring, the rest of the issues, where they hit the house, painted around the pool alarm and used the wrong color grout are all still visible. The attitudes I encountered during the construction delays when I wasn't being ignored, being scolded on the phone today telling me I "failed" my inspection has just pushed me to provide you this warning. Find a different pool company. read more

Horrible Horrible Horrible!!! Nikki was horrible with the sales in the beginnjng and that should have been a huge red flag. We are now in the process of selling our home and find out that grant put our pool over a utility easement and a zoning issue. We are 2,000 into feels trying to get it cleared up with real estate services and Charlotte County before losing the sell if our home. They agreed to pay the fees back to us but, now won't return our phone calls and we are humiliated with a big sign in our yard from the county due to their mistakes. Thanks GRANT! They also own holiday pools as well. I highly advise to choose elsewhere. read more

Finished pool in November of 2019, had to call them out to fix pavers, they came out and within a month the pavers were sinking again! Won't communicate with homeowner, do not respond to emails, Facebook or calls! Horrible company to work with! Stay away! They will not fix pavers now because it's been 2 yrs but they never fixed them correctly the first time! read more

When speaking with the contractor from Grant pools I felt confident we were on the right track. I met at their office and we designed the pool (basic 12x22 with one light and two little squirt jets) and the bid came back reasonable. I was delayed in starting construction on my home for a year but kept in contact with the pool contractor and we sat down again the following March to confirm the original design. The new bid quote was $6,000 more - shocking but not totally unexpected in this time of inflation. I made sure he had my home contractor's contact info and awaited a printed contract to sign or further instructions.....they never came. After a month and 1/2 of waiting I sent text messages inquiring and eventually got an email, this time with another quote for an additional $6,000. Now mind you, these "quotes" are one page only and do not itemize the cost in any way, so there is no indication HOW the price increased $12,000. I sent a shocked email response....no reply. I called the company office and encountered the receptionist, who simply defended the contractor and refused to assist me in getting further information- simply telling me it was my responsibility to talk to him. I sent another email to the contractor asking for details and telling him I needed to make a decision regarding my build. His response? A single sentence reply " I am no longer taking homebuilder contracts". Um, OK. I sent an email to the company (they share with a branch in Venice as well) telling my story and asking if they had anything to offer, such as a different contractor. No response. So.....that's my experience with Grant Pools. read more

Just thought I'd share my recent interaction with Grant Pools. Let me preface by saying that Grant has not started or completed any work at my residence. Nonetheless, Grant's level of service warrants a review. First off, the estimate process seemed rushed and incomplete. I provided a sample estimate from another pool company which I thought would make things easier for them, but it didn't seem to matter much. They provided a one-page breakdown where other companies provide 2-3 pages plus renderings. Soon after, we reviewed the paperwork and we decided that Grant may be the better choice. We arrived at their location to choose tile and paver colors and to sign a contract but later found out that the pool shell, which most companies provide a lifetime warranty for along with pebble tec, has only a one-year guarantee. So, what you're telling me is that you build me a pool, I fork over in excess of 50K for the pool and cage and you give me one year guarantee on the pool shell? I was a bit confused and asked again, and indeed Grant Pools covers their construction for 1 year, yes only 365 days, and to boot, you need to keep detailed records (on their app) of when you clean and maintain the pool as to not have guarantee go null and void. I was also told you better be sure to use your warranty wisely as we will only come out once, and charge for each additional visit as it relates to the warranty. WOW! I'm in the hotel business, and hotel owners that treat their clientele like Grant Pools treated us, is the owner that will eventually contact me asking why business has significantly decreased and I can do to help. So, consider this a friendly reminder that if you continue to treat your clients as such because demand is at an all-time high when demand decreases, and it most certainly will, you will be hard-pressed to find customers. Furthermore, we were made to feel as our business didn't matter much because as I was told "I have 30 people to get back to after I'm done with you" and quite frankly they may as well of said, we don't need your business. I see this happen across all industries but the beauty about living in the USA is that you have choices, sometimes numerous so, I will move on and look at other pool companies. On June 14th (Thursday), we had Grant Pools come to our house for an estimate.Dave Q. showed and was very informative and took a lot of time discussing our potential pool and design. After a little while speaking with Dave, I had the feeling that either they were too busy and really did not want to do this job, or maybe it was not going to be a job that they were going to make enough money from? At any rate, Dave said that he would have an estimate emailed to us early the following week. On the 21st, I received an email from him saying that he was sorry he had not gotten an estimate to me yet, but said he would be emailing me one "asap". By the 27th, I still had not received an estimate and replied to them that it was evident that they did not need / want the business....If this is an indicator of what I was in for had I chosen to use them, I am glad I found out early. read more

After almost 7 years in pool construction, I am coming up on my one year here at Grant pools and while I have read some of the negative reviews, I am proud to work here and have a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for my coworkers. I have worked at a couple different pool construction companies, but I have found integrity and a level of straightforwardness here, that makes my job a pleasure. Unfortunately, I also get to witness both sides of the frustrations that come with any type of construction, and while some customers may or may not believe it.. we are facing uncharted territories where supply and demand of materials come into play. I may not have a daily scheduled laid out, or direct answers on when equipment will be coming in, but between my GM and Foreman, they have a combined almost 50+ years working at Grant Pools and I have 100% faith in my team to complete projects as efficiently as possible. In my opinion, happy, dedicated and loyal employees are the heart of ANY good company, and Grant Pools most definitely has a huge heart!!! read more

Ok Sadly to say We've used grant pool periodically for 11 years. Their service has gone down dramatically. If you try to use their pool service, forget it! The guy doesn't show up or shows up when your not there! Then your wondering if he showed up at all!! No after call, no nothing!! I will never buy or use Grant pools again!!
