We were interested in stained concrete for our basement floors but were unable to find anyone who…read morewe thought would do a quality job. After much searching, we found ReflectiveCrete. They polish the concrete floors with diamond abrasive pads and stain with acetone. They referred us to commercial jobs they've done, we spoke with the happy owners and then decided to see what they could do for us. Because each concrete floor is unique, ReflectiveCrete wanted to come out and do some samples on our floors. They did several samples of colors and they all looked amazing, like a deep wet shinny pools of rich variegated colors. After seeing the sample,we were amazed and also disappointed......surely this was going to blow our budget. When they told us the price, we could not sign the contract fast enough!! Our basement was still under construction so Brian & Peter had to work around the trim carpenters and painters. They squeezed in two long days with the weekend to cure. They warned that it may be dusty and foul smelling but it was really neither. They have powerful filtered vacuums attached to their grinders so it was minimal mess. Prior to starting they taped off the lower walls to avoid errant stains. They did about 800 square feet in a rich chocolate brown, not a color we would have selected had we not seen the sample on our floor. The finished product is fantastic. My wife was "blown away." It's a richly variegated shiny pool of color that looks slick and wet but surprisingly is not slippery at all. We could not be more pleased with the service, the price and the finished product. While reviewing…read morethe existing plumbing Matt discovered a couple of MAJOR issues that we weren't aware of because they were out of sight. Our tub drain under the house was disconnected and was dumping into our crawl space. Also, our existing plumbing was cast iron and upon further inspection Matt found that it was disintegrating. Although it was OK for the moment we decided that while he was down there to have it replaced with PVC. While I had him here he also replaced the drain under the bathroom sink because it was leaking and he tightened our toilet seat. Matt completed the job thoroughly, providing photos since I couldn't get under the house. He left everything in perfect working order. I found his pricing to be very competitive and affordable. He came out quickly to give a quote and was able to get to us very quickly once I accepted it. He stayed until the job was done and was very communicative from start to finish. We hired them to remove and replace a deck along with some drainage piping for our daughter's house. Devin started work promptly and was complete in a few days. So get ever little detail in writing The bid, the agreed upon work. This is why. The concrete work in places was very nice and in other places. iffy if it will last. This should of been another hint. I ask if they gave any type of warranty. Son replied I can guarantee it will crack. I was taken aback by this comment. Then they told my husband they would be back the next day to clean up and fill back in the dirt that they torn up around the concrete. Next day, no show. Weather was perfect for 5 plus days. No show . Finally a week plus later they show up. Do a really piss poor job and just throw excess dirt farther out into the grass Instead of taking it away. Then stomped it down. Turn grass side down into grass. It looked terrible. Then when we said something. Quote" from owner. We don't clean up ir fill back in."Wow. Seriously. Then he accuses us of shorting him money on our check. Every person who has ever received a check from someone has looked at it. So why didn't he say something then, why because he was lying. My husband made the mistake of paying them in full and they didn't want to come back and do the rest. Now we are using our hard labor, we are in our 60's to rake and try to repair our lawn in multiple areas. Plus buying dirt and sod . He should be paying us. So Pay a little more for a company that takes care of their customers. We even got them more business in our neighborhood.
