For an untowered airfield, its always a little stressful coming in, however tons of air activity and every one let us land no problem. The FBO heard us coming and met us out on the pad. They took care of everything so all we had to do was grab our bags and enjoy our time in cruces. If your flying privately, HIGHLY recommend stopping here for your aviation needs.

For train watchers,the UPRR and Amtrack come thru regularly,and the Southwestern RR serves Deming and Silver City. We are about midway between Tx.and Az.,served by I-10,Greyhound Bus,and El Paso/Los Angeles Limosine(bus line). We have a nice regional airport. Mimbres Memorial is a very good medical centre served by NativeAir med evac.,which is based at our airport. Deming is the most seniour friendly city I've ener seen. We have an award winning seniour centre ran by Julie Bolton that provides full range of seniour services,including congregate meals and home delivered meals,home health and assisstance services. They used to offer several flights a day every day of they week. Now, not so much and the ones they do offer are so inconvenient it's not even worth it. Also, flight delays: this last time was 0% on time both ways and by several HOURS!! No notification whatsoever that they were going to be delayed resulting in a several hour wait at both airports. They're subsidized so it doesn't really matter their quality of customer service, they get paid either way. I would rather drive the 4 hours than use them as it ends up being that long of a trip anyway. Ridiculous!

I received a confirmation email immediately after the super easy booking process. Two days before the date of pickup, I received a 2nd confirmation email. The day before, Steve called to make sure my son knew where to meet up and other details. On the arrival day, my son's flight was delayed 3+ hours (arrival time changed 4-5 times), but Steve was there when the flight finally arrived and waited an additional 40 minutes while my son retrieving his check-in luggage. Before dropping off my son to his Airbnb, per my request, Steve drove him around the neighborhood to see where and what stores are around with no extra charges. He also gave my son some safety tips about living in Tucson. When they arrived at the apartment, he did not just drop my son off - he unloaded the luggage and then waited until my son was able to get into his apartment. I am a "worrier", but Steve relieved my anxiety of my son's out-of-state on-his-own trip with his excellent service. He really went far above and beyond for his welcome pickup service. We had just moved to Oro Valley and got stranded at the shuttle stop, coming down from Phoenix. ( It was on a Saturday night, just after midnight ) Steve arrived when no other transportation was to be found! He was awesome! ! ! He treated us like we were celebrities; not only did he drive us home, but he was kind enough to let us stop and pick up some groceries for breakfast. When we got home at 1:30 am, he helped us carry in the groceries. Now that is what I call top notch service ! ! He really made us feel welcome, and we've never forgotten him for his professionalism and kindness. We always call him to pick us up at our home to go to the airport, and then to meet us again when we return.
