The only thing I can comment on is the appetizer because that's all I had. I tried the sea scallops along with a local Veneto white wine and it was good. Service was adequate and ambiance was ok. The real ambiance is Chioggia with its Venice-like feel and small bridges spanning canals. I came more for the views than for the food and it was mid-day so I wasn't ready for a full meal. This was the only place I ate so you have to take this review in a vacuum. I could give more perspective if I tried a few other places in the area.

We found this little gem on our last day in Venice and I wish we'd wandered past it sooner! They had great food, cheap drinks, and friendly service along with wifi. Since it was lunch time we sat outside. The premade sandwiches started at 3 euro and a huge menu with reasonable prices. MiTi is also vegetarian and glutten-free friendly. The owner was super friendly and spoke English. She even put up with our attempts to order in Italian. MiTi is a five min walk from the train station, but situated far enough off the main road that you have to search for it. It's worth the hunt. If I'm ever back in Venice MiTi will be the first place I visit.

This is a trendy, classy, romantic place to have drinks and a great dinner in Venice. We first visited Sangal for nightcaps on the advice of a local and were so impressed we went back for dinner the next night. It's a contemporary-style restaurant and lounge bar with a great rooftop terrace. It's located in a square called Campo San Gallo at the very end of a side alley and over a stone bridge off the Piazza San Marco. I had ravioli stuffed with goat cheese, seafood, and asparagus tips for an entrée, and tiramisu for dessert (homemade, of course). Yum. Yes, it was rather expensive (over €100 for two courses for the two of us plus a bottle of wine), but Venice is an expensive city. It was also less expensive than many of the places directly off St. Mark's Square. And you can't beat the atmosphere.
