I laugh at all the bad reviews that are on here. Those are the same type of people that get mad and would write a bad review on the weather man because he said it was sunny and a rain cloud cane passing through. But anyway as for me, I came up to Prime after stopping at another Subaru dealer and getting the run around from them(back and forth to the manager, etc). So I came up to look at one car and it wasn't the car for me, I wanted something else they had on another on of their lots. So they asked if I wanted them to go get it for me, so 45 minutes later it was there. Drove it, loved it, and they were there to make a deal that worked for me. I can't say how much Sonia went above and beyond to help me get this car. She stayed after closing, put my plates on, and put floor mats in it for me. Then a month later I called to see if she found the spare key for the car, she took the time to do so and tossed it in the mail for me. Due to a recent rear ending of my car and it then being totaled I was in need of a new one. After weighing the pros and cons we decided to lease a Subaru. We had the lease information they were advertising for Subarus and went to Prime Subaru in Hudson New Hampshire. The sales person was James Malone. He walked us out side showed us the vehicle we took it for a drive. We liked the car and decided to lease it. Everything went very smoothly. Now like I said we leased it we did not buy it so I can't attest to the buying experience. Only negatives in the entire process was out on the car lot when I brought price up he did say he preferred tonight discuss it on the lit. That started to set the mood for a typical sales pitch, but only for that moment. The other wasn't really a negative just a bummer the car had just arrived in at the dock and so we had to wait almost a week. Janes went through the entire car with me, hooked up my Bluetooth put my contacts in, and my music. I even got a a full tank of gas. I've had it a couple weeks now and I love it. At this point in time I would definitely go back. I have not used the service department yet that'll be my next rating. read more

I found the used car I wanted on Carfax after having searched for 2 months. I called Granite Subaru in Hudson NH and set up an appointment to test drive the 2016 green Outback with 73,198 miles on it. I drove from over an hour away for my appointment. Five minutes before I arrived, the manager Eric called me to say that the vehicle would be waiting out front for me. When I arrived the salesman could not find the car and I patiently waited for about 10 minutes while he ran around looking for the vehicle. Another salesperson finally told him"the car is out front and the keys are over there". There was a green outback out front that other people were looking at. The salesman went to the manager and then came to me and said that the car was being serviced."could you come back tomorrow" he asked. I worked the next day and stated I could come in on the day after.He asked the manager Eric again and was told that if the car sold tomorrow that I was out of luck. I rearranged may patients home visits so that I could go the next evening band one hour before I left was called and told the care was still being serviced come in the next day. I decided not to purchase a vehicle after being lied to and getting the run around. Then after Thanksgiving the manager Eric had the audacity to call me to come in for a test drive since the care was still available. I would rather ride a moped that purchase anything from this unprofessional dealership !! read more

Having recently had my 2016 Outback 3.6L in for routine scheduled maintenance, I have to say that I am less than enthused or satisfied about my visit. I do not believe that the service people should be "up-selling" customers when it comes to maintenance by offering or suggesting additional, non-required services when there is nothing showing to require it. This has happened to my wife with her Outback and now asks me to take the car in for maintenance so as not to have to deal with this scenario. I have also witnessed this while waiting in the lobby where other service customers were being up-sold. In my last two visits to Prime's Service Center, the service person/manager would come to see me to say progress is being made with my car but that they would recommend a list of additional services. In thinking about it, and I know the maintenance schedule for the Outback as I have a copy of it in the glovebox, I could not find it in the owner's manual for the miles that were on the car. When I asked why was this needed at this time, the replies have been that it would keep the car running smooth. I suppose that is true but it is also an avenue to pad-up the bill with un-required services. As an example, using synthetic motor oil instead of conventional as the manual states, or replacing air filters when they don't need to be. As a suggestion, while I have never seen at Prime (and I have asked for), a service schedule listing by miles posted/printed anywhere showing the factory recommended services for my Subaru. I think it would be very convenient and eliminate customer concerns as to what should be happening with their car during that visit based on the mileage. I'm thinking along the lines of Level 1, Level 2, Level 3..., you get the idea. Plenty of other Subaru dealers do this and I find that it matches the maintenance schedule found in the owner's manual. I now have a copy in my glovebox as a quick reminder as to what has to be done. Please, don't ruin this nice Subaru dealership with these practices. I'd like to have been able to give Prime five stars... We'll see after my next visit. read more

I went to Prime on the recommendation from my bank who had pre-approved me for a loan. I spoke with Mike and he took me for a test drive. Very knowledgeable about the car and Subaru's in general. This was the first car that I had actually test drove since I decided to get a newer car. I explained to him that I wasn't going to be buying that day and was just starting out. Understandably, he wanted my business but was respectful of the fact that I wasn't looking to buy the first car I looked at which I found unexpected. I eventually went back to Prime mostly because of how Mike treated me and the fact that I got a much better deal with them than the other dealer I had seen. Had a great experience here. We were looking for a Subaru Imprezza to lease and looked around at other dealerships in our area first that quoted us some absolutely absurd prices (have friends who lease luxury cars for similar prices) and the Subaru in Acton was especially rude. Called Prime and were able to put money down on a car over the phone that wasnt on the lot yet (knew what color/features I wanted and got lucky that their model matched) and got a price that we were totally comfortable with. Got no hidden fees, the price quoted was broken out in clear terms of what was included. They called when the car came in and were flexible about us needing to plan around when we would drive up to sign paperwork and pick up the car. They did the registration and dealt with insurance and made the experience very easy overall. Worked with Tom who was great and kept us updated on everything. My fiance is now considering leasing his next car and will go back to Prime if he decides on a Subaru. Will definitely recommend to friends who want a Subaru and will go back myself. read more

We are a Subaru family; we and our children have owned 6. This time around, we did our homework, went online, got comparative quotes and chose to go to Prime. Nevertheless, on the day we arrived to test drive the car of our choice and to get a quote on our trade- in, Prime took us "around the block" literally and figuratively for 2 hours. Frustrated and ready to leave, we were offered a better deal, an upgrade, by the sales manager, which, after some consideration, we accepted. On the following day, another sales manager rescinded the offer, unless we agreed to pay an additional $1200. If you don't want to get jerked around, avoid this dealership. read more

I have ben a loyal customer of Prime Subaru of Nashua New Hampshire, (formerly Subaru of Nashua) since 1990. Since the business was purchased by Prime Subaru a few years ago, the sales staff has remained helpful and responsive. I wish I could say the same for the service department. The genesis of this negative review was an incident on 1/2/2017. My 2013 Outback had flashed a low oil warning and I had purchased oil and topped it off and brought it to Prime Subaru for evaluation on that January 2 morning. Check-in time was 10:30 AM. The plan as I understood it was for them to look for obvious problems, then top off the oil so a oil consumption test could be performed. This at worst should of taken one half hour. By twelve noon, no one had returned to me. I went to the service desk and saw my car sitting where I had left it; no one had attended it. 1 1/2 hours wasted. Another incident involved a switch out from snow tires with rims and TMP installed two summer tires on rims with TMP which should of taken a half hour and again took over an hour and a half with them finally telling me that the "mechanic" who was doing the work had loaded the snows in the trunk, which interfered with set up of TMP. One hour wasted. A third incident involved an oil change, and other minor work. As I pulled out of the parking lot and approached Haffner's gas station, the oil pressure light flashed on. I stopped in the gas station and checked the oil and they had not filled the car with oil after draining it. Almost ruined my engine. After all of these incidents, I asked the service manager to speak to the "mechanic" involved and call me back with why these things happened. That never occurred. I was told that I would be assigned only a "master technician" and obviously that has never occurred. I believe the moral of the story here is first time, shame on them, second time, shame on me, and third time, am I stupid or what? Since the bread and butter of any dealership is in fact it service department, I would expect that they would be more situationally aware. Needless to say I will never be back there for service or to purchase a car. Manchester Subaru here I come. read more

Here's my story w. Granite Subaru. Walked into the sales department (they are amazing by the way) purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT... Took it for a test drive and I hear a whistling sound so I asked the sales guy if those were wheel bearings. He said he will have the service department take a look at it because he doesn't do that which is 110% completely understandable. So I was told it wasn't the wheel bearings that it's the big Brembo brake calipers so I didn't think anything of it because I've never driven a car with Brembo brake calipers. So I take the car home and not even a month goes by and it keeps getting louder and louder so I call my sales Representative and told him it's getting louder. He said no problem bring it by we will address the issue. So I bring it in and they said driver side front and rear wheel bearings are no good (like I asked during the test drive to check them). They wanted me to pay a $200 deductible and I refused to because they lied to me about what was wrong with the car. Which is fine I appreciate they paid the deductible for me. But then they started to get really nasty with the person I had drop off and pick up the car with because of the whole issue. There was times my girlfriend walked in and could hear the lady Jen talking about myself and and my girlfriend. Today comes and they finished the car because I guess it takes 2 days to do 2 wheel bearings and they just hand my girlfriend the keys and doesn't even say anything to her. Jen was very rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. There was a speed sensor they couldn't take off the front wheel that they've spent 5 hours trying to take it off so my girlfriend asked, "why can't you just break it off and get a new one?" And Jen responds with "who's gonna pay for that? You or him aren't going to pay for it." Seems like she's trying to down talk us because I refuse to pay a deductible for being lied to about what was wrong with the car. We thought breaking the speed sensor and ordering a new one would've been more cheaper than having a car in a bay for 2 days straight for 2 wheel bearings but what do I know. I'm just a licensed electrician. Sales department was amazing by the way. Steve Willis helped me throughout the whole thing and was nothing but polite, respectful and really cool. Not too happy with these guys at the moment. Took our Subaru in for regular servicing. Afterwards, the electronics in the center dash console have gone haywire: the radio works randomly, the heater comes on by itself, etc. They, of course, have denied any culpability and want several hundred dollars to repair or replace the center console. That being said, I got a great deal on my new car because I ordered it and it was a guaranteed sale for them. I also shopped around locally at other Subaru dealerships to compare pricing and trade value. Only way to get somewhat honest answers. At this specific location some people to look out for: 1. Big tall stalky guy who can't make eye contact unless it's with your chest. Disgusting. 2. Finance guy with bad teeth... Makes rude comments if you don't want what he's selling. Remember it's your money and you can say no. Duh. 3. Receptionist- she's miserable and so unhelpful. Kind of the opposite of her job... Subarus are the BEST cars out there and I have had 2 now. Super pricey, as you might expect from a dealership. However, my main complaint centers around the overbooking / poor turnaround time. I had a scheduled oil change and inspection for Thursday afternoon, was going to be a long wait. So, I dropped my car off that evening for early bird service. Was called Friday around 10 saying I need some things fixed. Was not called back that day. Waited until Saturday at 10 to call, got voicemail, no one calls me back. I was initially a avid fan of the Granite Subaru team, purchasing, recommending and influencing their sale of 5 vehicles in the past 2 years. A recent Bait And Switch experience with a bumper hitch installation has removed all trust of their Service Department. I requested a 2" hitch to be installed on my 2019 Crosstrek, after receiving confirmation that the part was in stock and indeed that specific size, I dropped off the car for installation. Upon inspecting the car the next morning, I observed that they had instead, with no other notification, installed a 1 1/2" hitch, stating this was the only size Subaru made for this model. Had I been informed of this fact, prior to spending $620.00, I would have purchased a after market 2" hitch and had it installed by another shop. This would have maintained my confidence in Granite Subaru. Their only comment and suggestion was to purchase a adapter from UHaul, glossing over their poor decision and inability to notify a valued customer of a change in the requested work. read more

They offered the best deal of the 3, I went with their financing(2.9%), bought and drove away in my new car - same day! And they didn't even hound me when it took me a week to find the title on my forester trade-in. I had a great experience with the folks at Prime Subaru. I first inquired about their inventory online. I was looking for a trade, but turned out that my car value was nothing they could work with. They got to know me. I spoke to Bryan and Tom, and Steven also at some point. Before that, I had a guy come to my house every time because they knew i needed a ride to get to them from Tewksbury. I could not believe it. It was such a blessing. They were a blessing to me. I appreciate the many night in the space of one week that Bryan had to drive me. The process would have made any of us pull our hairs out, because it seemed so treacherous to begin with--uncertainties with the banks, the credit, the trade, but it worked out great, and one week later, I got my simple Jeep Patriot. Not a fancy car, just good size and somewhat with my personality--they made it work. They were mindful, kind, and i give them 5 stars for the work they did with me and for me! I appreciate that guys! Overall a good experience at Prime. We have purchased two cars there in the last the years . One new , one used. The sales experience was easy, no pressure . However when buying the used car, I did have to go back after we had purchased the car to sign a few more forms they initially forgot. Lastly on the new car, we bought the oil change plan. What happened one time when we went there for an oil change. "We did not see that in the system," we will owe you an oil change. I did not like that. However over all a good experience. read more

So I bought a 2011 VW Jetta from here. Not even a month after it started making a weird sound and started jolting so I brought it in hoping they would tell me what the problem was and fix it. An hour later they said that NOTHING was wrong with it and it was in great condition. So I drive it off of the lot and it jolts when I try and merge on the highway. I called a VW garage and they said neither of things are okay and told me what to do to try and solve them myself. The garage also mentioned that prime Subaru probably didn't want to deal with the mess so they said it was nothing. Which makes sense because the reasoning behind the sound/jolting they gave me was completely ridiculous. This is my first car I bought on my own. I am not sure what has happened since the last time I was in for an oil change and tire rotation (about 4 months ago), but clearly something is wrong. Ignored when I walked into the door. Had an appointment for 10 am, they knew I was waiting for the car, 11 rolls around, my car is still sitting in the same spot where I left it. At 11:30 I go in an ask when I can expect my car to be done and I was rudely told by a guy (not sure who he is, never have seen him before here and I have been a customer for years) that they'd get to my car any minute and they were shorthanded today in the shop. At 12:30 the same rude guy comes out and tells me my car is done and that I can pay with the receptionist. No explanation or review of what I had done like they usually do, no apology, no thank you, nothing. I left a message with the manager (who apparently is also new---why such a turnover in staff all of a sudden??!!) and never got a call back. That's fine, there are local shops I can my car to from now on and Manchester or Milford isn't too far to take my car for recall work. read more

This is a terrible dealership and they are up to no good. I bought an '09 Volvo here a couple weeks back. It was the exact car that I wanted and after the test drive and looking at the Carfax I decided I wanted to buy it. This was on the condition that they fix some electrical issues with the car, which they agreed to. The salesman, Joe, was like 20 years old and did not know the first thing about Volvos (which is okay, it is a subaru dealer). But he also seemed to really not care about anything and would only communicate via text messages. After I paid the downpayment on the car he said it would be a bit of a wait. So after 2 hours of sitting at this guy's desk while he literally walked around eating pizza and getting high-fives I finally got the 2 minutes worth of paper work. They also snuck in about $1,500 worth of fees at this point. I bought it anyways. So now all I had to do was wait for the repairs to be done and give them the rest of the money. I called a couple days after making the downpayment and the salesman said they had to send it to a Volvo dealer, "but I told them to just wait until next week." is what my salesman said for who knows what reason. So now it is a week after I have made the downpayment and the car is still at the Volvo dealership and has been for a couple days. I had the check from the bank already which i just decided to give to them, not knowing that they wanted to wait 4 or 5 business days for a check from a highly accredited bank to clear before they could get the plates. So now the car is out of the shop and all they need to do is get the plates. I live in MA and for whatever reason they had to have someone literally drive down the the exact insurance agency that I use to get a "stamp of approval" the insurance company found this to be very unusual. I called my salesman, Joe that day to see what progress they had made in getting the plates. After giving him the exact address for my insurance agent in the morning, he contacts me at about 2:00pm and says that his runner is stuck in traffic and not going to make it. Even though he has 3 more hours to make it. He even told me he was in the emergency room with strep throat (he looked and sounded perfectly fine the very next day). I then call the sales manager at the dealership because I don't trust the kid. Turns out he lied about the guy being stuck in traffic, instead they allegedly sent him to the wrong agency. My agent told me there were no records of them contacting the insurance company or going to any agencies. Also the sales manager told my insurance agent he was sent to a different a different agency than what he had told me. So two weeks after making the downpayment and a week after I gave them all the money I finally got my car. The car has been fine so far, but these people have some very sketchy tactics and are definitely hiding something or truly don't care about customers. They are liars from top to bottom, DO NOT buy a car here if you can. And I know a manager is going to comment here and say I should give him a call. Don't bother, clearly you have taught your sales team it is okay to tell blatant lies to customers and there is no way I will ever consider buying a car here again. read more

Today I went to the Hudson Subaru dealership to test drive a 2020 Legacy Limited. My husband and I bought two cars from them two years ago and was thinking of switching up our cars. I was told I could only drive the base model but not the limited model because they only had two and didn't want to put too many miles on them...what?! And then what? Do they really expect me to purchase the limited model without a test drive? That was their plan? Or should I have worn a business suit or a skirt with heels and red lipstick to be taken seriously? I called the Hudson Subaru sales manager and told him I was going to Ed Reilly Subaru in Concord because I called them and they had no problem letting me drive a limited model. Buyers beware...specially women! Don't let them disrespect you! You have a career, mortgage, medical insurance, two cars and you take time from your busy schedule to go visit this dealership just to waist your time with these individuals! I dread buying cars because I know its a day long commitment at the dealership. I also dread sales people trying to add unnecessary features and finance people trying to tell me they can't go down on the price. Prime definitely did not fulfill any of those fears. My wife (who bought a Subaru last year in VA) even mentioned how painless and easy it was for us to buy my Subaru. I wouldn't say it was fun but it surely was nowhere near as painful as my last 5 experiences with car buying.
