We have been going to Windham Animal Hospital for 6 years for grooming and veterinary care…read more Ali in grooming is absolutely amazing. Our dog is in love with her because she makes him feel so good. Love knowing that he is safe and under professional care. He comes bounding out looking great and smells amazing for a couple of weeks. For veterinary services, we have seen mostly everyone and have no complaints, but always seem to fall under Dr. Durner's care when something "big" happens. There is no doubt that she has loads of experience, as evidenced in the way she handles each situation. I really appreciate how she always builds a rapport with my dog during each visit, which is really important since he is very anxious. She is confident (not overly) and seems to always immediately have a plan, which always calms my nerves.(in our cases her plans have been really successful.) Lastly, she always calls to check in a few days later asking really detailed questions and giving more advice. It's not a routine "have to" call, but more that she actually cares that my guy is having a rough time. If you're looking for a smart, experienced, to the point, no-nonsense vet, look no further. (Giving 4/5 stars because this past time the wait was pretty long. It's not always a long wait there and I'm not upset about having to wait, as I know it's a medical facility and things happen. I just don't like waiting in the actual treatment rooms for extended periods. I would rather wait in the waiting area as my dog is far more relaxed and distracted there.)

The assistant technicians are also caring, patient and knowledgeable. Chaos can be a handful as she doesn't care for other cats or dogs, but she's allowed VIP side entrance for her visits, and they clear the hall for my princess. Update... Chaos is home resting! Did I mention upon checkout, the final bill was less than estimate? Thank you kindly!

I took my cat to Crossroads Animal Hospital because he was coughing but had no other symptoms. I…read moreinitially believed it was something mild. The veterinarian recommended an X-ray and prescribed a steroid. The medication seemed to help, but a few days later, I was told that my cat likely had cancer and needed to see a specialist. I was hesitant because of the financial cost and the uncertainty surrounding the diagnosis, so I asked whether we could try other treatments first. After several conversations with the veterinarian, I was eventually convinced to take my cat to a specialist. Following additional testing, the specialist found no signs of cancer, lumps, or anything else supporting the original concern. Instead, I was told that my cat had allergies and that, if there had been another issue, the steroids had already resolved it. This experience caused months of unnecessary stress, thousands of dollars in expenses, missed time from work, and the emotional strain of believing my cat might have cancer. When I contacted Crossroads Animal Hospital afterward, they continued to stand by their assessment and offered little more than an apology. West Boston Vet was kind enough to help me recover some of the money I spent on testing that day. They also seemed to agree that bringing my cat in for those tests had been unnecessary. Based on my experience, I have serious concerns about Crossroads Animal Hospital's judgment and its ability to distinguish between a common condition such as allergies and something as serious as cancer. I understand that veterinary medicine involves uncertainty. However, suggesting such a devastating diagnosis without stronger evidence and then failing to meaningfully address the financial and emotional consequences showed a disappointing lack of care, accountability, and competence. Based on how my cat's case was handled, I strongly suggest other pet owners don't take their pets to Crossroads Animal Hospital.

When I have to leave any of them for the day, I don't worry because I know they're in good hands. Very accommodating with scheduling. I love that they have extended hours now throughout the work week. Dr. Boulter is my vet, and she's just the best. I never feel embarrassed to ask a question. Even though the place is busy, I never feel rushed. I also like that she calls me herself to checkup or give results instead of just handing it off the a vet tech. She'll answer all my questions, even when it pertains to a cat that's not currently at the visit. She's also more interested in curing without surgery and really determining the root of the cause, which has not been my experience in the past. My oldest cat had a long bout with a UTI and kidney stones and we were able to find a solution quickly and are better able to manage the problem long-term. From what I know from friends and coworkers, Derry Animal Hospital is more reasonably priced than some of the others in the area. The last time I took all 3 cats for their checkups and they only charged me for one office visit. I guess it's pretty standard for other vets to charge one office visit per cat. The only downside is that they don't really do payment arrangements, even for last minute or unexpected surgeries. But they're very good at giving accurate quotes and will quote various options and go over every aspect of the invoice. I'm a really cautious pet owner, so I always get the extras (extra blood work, tests, and x-rays), but I've never felt pressured to do so.

They are more pricey than other dog daycares in the area. That being said, the staff is great. They handled our unruly puppies with kindness and they came home so tired they slept all through the evening and night. The manager called mid-day to update us on our dog's behavior which was nice. I was hoping to see a pic of either of our dogs on their Facebook page, but none that day of any dogs at all. I think they can do a lot better in this department to show a video of play or something for their customers on their social pages. I don't love how close the building is to the main road. Feels a bit risky with excited dogs when bringing them to/from your car. They will cancel your stay if the parking lot is full of snow, ice, etc. Overall a good stay, but they need more competitive pricing.

We told her that he has always been on the schedule for Tuesdays and Fridays but she was yelling and aurguing and then told us to get out and she will refund our monthly membership. Which she did within minutes. WTF! Not sure what happened here as it is all so random and bizarre. We will finding a new local daycare for our pup.
