INSPECT YOUR LUMBER ORDER - POOR EXCHANGE POLICY…read more 1st experience using this lumber yard. Our contractor recommended them instead of the big box store. We received our lumber order on December 7th, just before the holidays. My contractor inspected the lumber after the 6 day period, which was stored in a secure area from weather conditions. Upon inspection, over 50% of the lumber was unusable. If it were only a few bad pieces, it wouldn't have been an problem. We received lumber pieces with bows, warped twists, humps, bends, huge knots, missing edges, etc. Our contractor had to use pieces that were not the best. As you can see in one of the images, there's a huge knot in the lumber. We called Thomas and asked them to exchange the bad lumber with just good, straight, and true lumber. Deanna declined our request because the inspection was done after their 6 day period. We planned to order additional lumber for planned projects; however, we will stick to other lumberyards and perhaps the BIG box stores that offer a better exchange/return policy

I told the guy I was looking for some very narrow doors. He immediately rattled off a few questions "Exterior or Interior? What width? What height? Painted? Price?" I answered all and he immediately started zig zagging through the rows and stopped in a section and pulled out a few choices. I liked what he pulled out and they were only $10/ea!!! I turned and saw something else that I liked better and he said "Sure, but those are new and $79/ea" The ones he showed me were used - I didn't even know it they were in such perfect condition. I stuck with my $10 doors and was very happy! Got so many ideas for projects around the house. Lots of Crown Moulding, trim pieces, decorative iron posts for fences or stair rails, decorative columns, and so much more. My favorite things that they had were decorative glass inserts. You can get them to put panels of glass next to your front door or get a wood door and cut a hole and insert the decorative glass. They had rectangles, ovals, squares - every shape and design you can imagine. You could put them anywhere. They also had a large section of kitchen and bathroom vanities. Will def go there first when looking for any building material. The selection and the customer service are 100 times better than any of the box stores. If you are driving by - just stop in and browse - you'll find things you didn't even know you needed!! They are on the east side of OBT between Central and Washington (south of Hwy 50 and north of the 408). You can't miss it - they always have a bunch of doors outside leaning up against the building. Stop in - you'll feel like you stumbled on a handymans goldmine!

We had ordered a very popular quartz for our island and countertops, but it somehow "wasn't in the shipment" as promised on time, and we were forced to choose another quartz in order to make our closing on time. While we were extremely disappointed in hearing the news that our custom order wouldn't be available on time and that the quartz was on back order for another month, we were able to select another quartz that was thankfully in stock. The new selection was more expensive than our original, however because of the challenge we faced with not receiving our first pick, the price was honored and we were not charged anything additional. There were many slabs to choose in their warehouse. My only complaint is the insufficient lighting in the warehouse, so the light provided does not do the slabs justice. I will caution any homeowner that most of the tile companies that we have dealt with across the past few years seem to prioritize business hours that match with contractors and decor/flooring companies. By that I mean, if you happen to work full-time Monday through Friday, you may find that most tile and stone companies are only open part of the weekend if at all== that was a concern for us since we happen to live at a distance from the side of Orlando that hosts many of the tile and stone companies.
