It is apparently easy to moderate in difficulty, though the spots of it that I saw looked easy. It is not a loop - it is a straight line out and back so keep that in mind as you head out that you're going to have to do the same distance in return. There is a decent sized parking lot at the start but there are no features other than the lot and a sign with a map of the preserve. It is a beautiful part of North Carolina and I enjoyed my walk to the bridge and back. [Review 14390 overall, 1715 of 2020, number 2715 in North Carolina.]

It's a great way to spend an hour or two of walking, covering about 4 miles there and back. Not a ton of elevation on this one(only about 500 ft gained on the whole hike), but the scenery is in flux throughout the entire 2 mile jaunt. You transition from evergreen trees and pine needles to beautiful reds and yellows, and a thick carpet of fallen leaves blanketed the trail. There also is a creek with a suspension bridge to cross, and then more pine trees again. The path is quite clear and well trod, but in the early morning I only came across a few people, allot of squirrels and one very surprised deer.
