This is possibly the coolest place in all of Gràcia. Just so classy.
By the most basic of definitions, this is a grain store, but it's really much more. They sell any possible thing you could need in the realm of dried fruit, nuts, cooking supplies like vanilla sticks and cinnamon spice, to brewing yeast, and oregano, as well as lentils, rice, about 5 kinds of flour, and any type of seed or legume you could ever want. I've seen dried cherries, candied almonds, coconuts, chestnuts, and butternut squash.
This is also a beautifully classic Catalan store. There is no bedazzling, and no modern twist on something classic. This is a clean, beautiful, rustic store that will make anyone fall in love with it. There isn't even the name of the store on the outside, so if you don't know to look for it, you can't find it! The doors are wide open though, most of the day.
The store is run by a really nice guy who is sometime in and sometimes not, but when he's not there are other really amiable and knowledgeable (seriously, ask them for help about anything, and they'll help you) people there.
The prices are what prices should be: reasonable, and understandable, and you feel like paying them. As I said before, there are no "modern twist on rustic" this is just the rustic, and so the prices make sense (that is, it's very economic).
The actual food that they sell is really good too, as if that needed to be said. What you can actually make with what they sell always comes out great, even if it's just rice.
I have said everything I can really say to explain how wonderful this place is, and now it's up to you to discover on your own! read more
