My daughter came home with visible bruising, and as a concerned parent, I reached out immediately -- emailing the principal and administration and messaging the teacher, since it was discovered on a Friday and the school was closed over the weekend. I received no response. First thing Monday morning, I went to the school in person. Principal Barbara Leon was unavailable to speak with me. I met with Ms. Michelle, who listened and said she would try to gather information. She later called me back with very few answers and oddly asked that I not speak with any other parents about the incident. We then followed up in writing with Principal Leon, as well as administrators Julia Pease and Holly Oliver, requesting records and any available footage from the day of the incident. Again, we received no response. Instead of answers, we were met with a DCF report filed against our family -- and a visit from both police and a DCF officer. We were never contacted directly by the school with any findings or follow-up about what actually happened to our daughter. Adding to our frustration, Principal Barbara Leon sent a message to other parents stating the incident had been handled -- despite never once addressing or confronting us, the actual parents of the child involved. She took time to reassure others, but gave us no communication, no transparency, and no accountability. Aside from completely neglecting the incident, the way this was handled shows a serious failure in leadership and concern for student well-being. We are left with growing concerns about what the school may be trying to hide. As parents, we deserve the truth -- and above all, our children deserve to be safe.

Though it is a small school, the French American International School of Boca Raton allows for a lower student to teacher ratio which is a gift. My eldest child was in the gifted and talented program in her previous school, and this small teacher to student ratio has afforded the teachers to individualize and differentiate the curriculum to meet her individual needs. She is challenged, motivated and HAPPY. My middle child has blossomed at FAIS. She has gained more confidence as she is asking more questions and is engaged in group activities because of the more one on one time she receives at FAIS. She also takes greater pride in her work completion and strives to excel each and every day. She has also formed some wonderful friendships at the school as the children at this school are kind and open-minded.I can honestly state that all of the teachers are passionate about teaching. The teachers are approachable and so accommodating to students and families. My children and I feel cared for. FAIS recently acquired International Baccalaureate (IB) accreditation. The IB coordinator is fantastic and this accreditation is just another bonus. It encourages such a well-rounded education! As my eldest child says "FAIS is a gem of a school" and I could not agree more! My eldest is taking standardized exams for middle school admissions placements (24-25 school year). I have received her multiple scores and her percentiles have actually moved up since last year across all academic areas. This just validates how excellent the academics are at FAIS! My three children, husband and I cannot express how grateful we are to have found this wonderful school!

You can thank your employee Kenneth Fry for this one star review…read more You would think that employees at this school should be those who would set an example for the children, but Ken Fry is a bully and a sorry excuse for a human being. Tonight I witnessed Ken Fry berate a food truck worker for accidentally overcharging his credit card... something like accidentally punching in $120.00 instead of $12.00.... an innocent mistake. He had actually even signed off on it without noticing ... but She immediately noticed the error and correcting the issue, and issuing a full refund and going as far as giving him the food for free for the trouble. Ken Fry proceeded to berate the girl accusing her of theft and creating a huge issue, after she brought it to his attention and corrected it .... and he still treated her like absolute crap in front of a huge crowd of people. I was completely appalled and disgusted by his completely inappropriate and senseless infantile behavior. Quite frankly, Ken Fry is a disgusting excuse for a human being. If this is the example of people you employ at this school, i feel sorry for your institution and the children who go to school here. Perhaps you should reconsider the type of people you employ or parents should reconsider sending their children here

From what's up, photos, videos and great communication between me (the mother) and Mrs Claudia, the school's owner, principal, the only licensed teacher, coordinator of 45 children with 3 helpers. Until suddenly things started and got weird. My daughter hit her head and came home with a bump on her forehead and I was not even notified. She said she was moving and doesn't know what happened. After I called and asked for an explanation, the next day I was forced to sign a document releasing the school of such responsibility. Several other problems happened and Mrs. Claudia abstained at all times. My daughter returned home with rash and dirty panties. I asked why. No explanation. sometimes her food came back untouched and sometimes with ants. I questioned. No explanation. From 9 to 2:30 without eating anything, and no one pay attention on that? She didn't answer anymore. I sent text to request a meeting in person and she said she had no time because her priority is to teach. She read my what's up messages and didn't answer me anymore. Until I went to school and questioned all that. She said if i have an emergency, I should call school, but my communication was always by text. I paid fee of $195, to reserve a space for Vpk because she charges it months in advance. I gave up on leaving my daughter another year over there because these problems were already unsustainable and even knowing that I was going to lose the fee, I asked her for the application paper back and she said she had already applied it to the government. I called Vpk and they denied this information. And so once again I asked for the application paper and she told me to apply again and print another one because she had already sent the application. It was when I said I had called there and confirmed that there was no upload on my daughter's behalf. Then she decided to give me back the paper. The last day of the school, she didn't even go outside to deliver the children and say goodbye, not even for an act of education. In addition, I was no longer satisfied with the cleanliness of the school, because sometimes I would go with my daughter to the bathroom In addition, I was no longer satisfied with the cleanliness of the school, bathroom mainly. Some mothers also had problems and took their children out of there. I hope I helped you make a better choice

I have no idea where my money was going. The building is tiny and education is abysmal. When our son first started we were promised pictures and videos of his progress. We only got a few when he first started then nothing. All of the other kids were started working on workbooks and when i asked why my son hadnt even started they said because he didnt want to. They completely gave up on my son without even talking to us. They wont talk to you about your kids work or even meet with you to let you know what theyre workinf on. All my friends kids montessori vpk progams include weekly meetings with parents. Report cards, feild trips, pageants, school pictures. We got nothing! The school picture i got was of one of the "teachers" holding my son by a tree looking angrily at the floor) the Christmas holiday "party" cost 20$ from every kid and got pushed back until march bc one or two kids were sick. The 20$ was collected from every kid to pay for a bounce house and food. There was no bouncehouse and one table with bagels and kraft cheese. They couldve paid fr the whole "party" with only my 20 alone yet collected money from so many kids and kept it for themselves. Ive seen what good schools are like and this is NOT it. They kept our 20 for their pockets and the party was total garbage.this happened multiple times. They NEVER communicated my sons progress. I was so frustrated about how terrible the school was. Plus he was supposed to be in the free 3 hour vpk but due to an error on their part was placed in the program we had to pay for. After complaining about this they told me all the free spots were taken and it was too bad. They are crooks and the school is a scam! I couldnt wait to pull him from there to share this review.
