Not the biggest fan of this place now. The woman behind the register is not nice, she screams at people when they want to take a picture (they are not allowed in the store) and the section that I so loved a kid for toys or knick-knacks (usually little Indian bead necklaces or Indian dolls) is reduced to 5 or less items (mostly cheap dollar store items). I think there are items in there that have been there since the 70's. I will still go in becuase of my fond memories of my childhood that I like to share with my kids. Other than that it would be a pass.

One of the pictures shows an entire wall displaying shoes, but they are no longer sold. This store is the best place to get your Three Lakes emblazoned merchandise such as mugs, clothing, and home décor. I like how most of the items have a high quality look to them as opposed to a souvenir look. I got a nice mug that has the Three Lakes Chain depicted on it. Matching coasters are available as well. The items tend to change so it's a good idea to check back in a few months to see if anything is new or if you see something you like be sure and snap it up. Candles, soap, and handbags are available as well. The children's area is not as extensive as what is pictured; however, it is available. The shop always smells so good! The restroom is delightful featuring a full length mirror.

There was always a…read morevisit to the dime store during our summer stay and I'm glad to see the tradition of Wisconsin Dime Stores is alive and well in Minocqua. Toys galore. These are not super quality posh toys, these are cheapie but fun classic and nostalgic toys. Like plastic army men, rubber chickens, matchbox cars, cap guns, potato guns, play make up, plastic dollies, plastic dinosaurs, play bow and arrow sets, coloring books, crayons...so much more...lots to keep kids occupied when they are not out on the lake. There is also a nice array of t-shirts and sweatshirts all proclaiming your love for Minocqua or the NorthWoods. And souvenirs to commemorate your visit to WI. Service was ok. The store is cramped so not a lot of elbow room, but a dime store and it's cheap. A great place to browse.
