They booked online and then got a call from the golf course saying that they're going to cancel it. My goodness, what load of crap is that? Wow Norwalk, Iowa, what a trash place you have.

Is always in great shape and is a very fair and fun to play course. Conditions and layout are comparable to Legends Club and Troy Burne in the metro. Green fees are affordable ... The course is well maintained and the bonus for us was having a practice green with three holes - our granddaughter loved trying it out before we got to the first "official " one. We hurried through hole 5 and couldn't tee off on 6 as we caught up to the people in front of us. We clearly were not 2 holes behind but were in fact right behind the people in front of us. The course marshal proceeded to follow us for 3 holes and made small talk. Apparently he wasn't sure if he wanted to chat or wanted us to hurry. We were playing a 4 person scramble and finished in 2 hours and 20 minutes. Very disappointed in this experience and would love to be able to golf with our girl group without being harassed. We are by no mean's great golfers but we are not the worst either . There were four of us and we all tried to keep the pace of our game moving . After about 5 holes the couple that was behind us called the club house and complained about our pace . We let the couple play through and never saw any one else behind us waiting because of our pace . obviously the two player couple were experience players and some of us are out there just trying to learn the game of golf when we reach the clubhouse on the ninth hole getting ready to continue on with our game the gentleman that runs the place approached us and told us that we needed to finish the back nine in two hours or we could just get a refund on our money. We thought that this was very rude and explained to him that we were just trying to have a good time and some of us were trying to learn the game of golf. We did not see him say this to any other group of people and there were multiple people by the clubhouse at this time he seemed to be singling us out. He walked away from us for a few moments and then came back and said what are you guys gonna do?!!! we told him we'll take the refund and leave. When I arrived in the clubhouse, he stated to me that he was gonna charge me for the nine holes and then give me half of my money back, which was not what he said, he said he would us a refund or we could finish the back nine in two hours. How did the entire group of us? None of the four had ever heard of anyone being treated like that on a golf course most golf courses spread their teetimes out 9 to 10 minutes. This golf course is spreading them out seven minutes shaving 2 to 3 minutes off of every hole so they're trying to shave off 36 minutes of your playtime so if you're not an experienced golfer, this is definitely not the place to go apparently they're all about just moving bodies and dollars through their ran down establishment.

I was extremely disappointed by the way management treated one of the servers during my visit. The…read moremanager spoke to the server in a rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional manner in full view of customers and other employees. No employee deserves to be embarrassed or belittled while simply trying to do their job. Watching someone be reprimanded publicly created an uncomfortable atmosphere and reflected very poorly on the restaurant's leadership. Good managers address performance issues privately, with respect and professionalism--not by humiliating employees in front of guests. The server remained calm and continued providing excellent service despite the treatment, which made the manager's behavior even more disappointing. If this is how employees are treated on a regular basis, it's concerning. I hope ownership takes these concerns seriously and encourages a workplace culture built on respect, professionalism, and dignity for both employees and customers.

Not too busy, but on Friday's they have their prime rib deal. It was cooked just right. Didn't come out with any horseradish (raw or creamy) or au jus sauce. Very odd. We asked the waitress for some. She seemed dumbfounded, but went and asked the cook and another staff came back at least with some raw horseradish. Definitely need something with it. But it was cooked well. The cheese curds are always good. So many that come in anorder too, so be ready to share!! The veggie spring egg rolls are delicious, surprisingly because I always get pork. I think I'll always go veggie next time. They tasted great. Not pictured with the filet de burgo, which our friends had, which is always delicious there. Our waitress was a little "clueless" on a few things. I do get scared for this generation. Maybe a few more trips will improve her skills, but overall a place we will be back to.
