I have ordered from here several times as it's only a few blocks away. The time before my most…read morerecent order was awful. I ordered a cod dinner ( which comes with choice of potato and a salad) and a pizza. My husband went to pick the order up and there was no salad or potato! In his defense, he didn't know that it was included. Baked cod was hard and tasted awful. Fast forward to last night's order (same order as the previous one but I got the cod battered). I walked into the dining area to pick up since getting a bartender to acknowledge me was fruitless. I told the waitress my name after waiting nearly 10 minutes and she rudely told me to go pick it up at the bar. I told her I ordered online and already paid so she told me to hang on. Another good 5 minutes goes by and a different waitress brings me a pizza and 1 Styrofoam container. I checked it and told her it was supposed to come with a salad. She rolled her eyes and finally ended up bringing it out. Well, the battered fish was doughy so I only ate the actual fish. They have certainly lost my business. So much for trying to support local businesses.

I got a Sunday Special on a burger with cheese curds and was honestly surprised how good it was. My total bill was $12.84 (had a water only). My friend and I decided to spend the weekend in Freeport recently. We found The Wagner House on…read moreYelp. It really is the coolest place in downtown Freeport. It's housed in the historic Wagner Printing building. They did a remarkable job renovating this space. Urban industrial keeping but updating much of the original space. The bar area is filled with high end gins, vodkas, whiskies, and wines all displayed in wooden shelves and cubbies. Relaxing lighting and comfortable bar seating. The bartenders and waitstaff are so nice and accommodating. I had a gin from France that was excellent. We had dinner afterwards. The dinner space is dimly lit and relaxing. Nice for a date night out. We ordered the Greek style ahi tuna and the pan seared steak. The tuna was cooked perfectly medium rare. The steak was well seasoned but I would ask for less gravy or have it on the side so you can put less or more on it to your liking. The chocolate ganache cake was very good. Very rich. Good for sharing. The upstairs space is soooo nice with comfortable vignette seating, tv's, a ping pong table, live music space, upstairs bar area. Beautifully updated with wooden floors and brick walls. This place makes it worth a trip back to Freeport. Thanks!

So there has always been a lot of hype around this restaurant in Freeport, and I was looking…read moreforward to taking my mother out for a nice meal. Our entire party was very disappointed. The food, while edible, was not up to par with the pricing. It's as if the restaurant wants to be high end, but doesn't quite hit the mark with the food. Our appetizer, baked Brie with apples, was served on a black plate that honestly, looked filthy. The rim of the plate was greasy and smudged all over. The Brie had some limp, mixed lettuce as a garnish (that should have been a clue as to the level of attention the kitchen pays to presentation). Further, there wasn't any melted Brie in there, but there was Brie rind. The onion mushroom soup was salty, and all the onions and mushrooms were invisible, having been pulverized into the broth. The servers brought the food out like they were dropping a book on the table. One of the salads ordered, was not delivered with the rest of the food- not sure if the waitress of the kitchen screwed that up. The drinks were okay- they were the only thing not sub-standard. I'm giving this 2 stars because the building interior is historic and beautiful, the chairs were comfortable, and the cocktails were fine. It would be a nice place to have pre-dinner cocktails, but I strongly suggest you go somewhere else for your dinner.

A Perfect Spot for Family Gatherings!…read more Bella Blue Bottoms is an absolute gem! We recently hosted a family gathering of 24 people here--including a reception for our daughter and new son-in-law--and the experience was incredible. The property is spacious, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax without feeling crowded. The kitchen and grilling areas made cooking for a large group easy, and the multiple living and dining areas gave us space to spread out and connect. There are so many unique and charming touches--like the converted chicken coop with its own kitchenette and sleeping area, and the peaceful duck pond that kept everyone entertained. In the evenings, the built-in tech setup allowed us to enjoy games and movies together. The value is unbeatable. For everything you get--space, amenities, and the warm hospitality of Jolene and Tony--this place is a steal. Several of our family members are already talking about coming back! If you're planning a group getaway or family event, Bella Blue Bottoms is a hidden treasure in Benton, WI. Highly recommend!

They helped contracting for and planning around this event so easily. A group of us (friends/classmates) came for a get-away retreat from the city, and the entire time, we were in awe. Nothing can beat the space itself (vast, lots of room to hike, bonfire, yoga; we even had a track&field style relay in the backyard). The rooms were nice, spacious, and comfortable. There was a lot of sitting room/smaller living rooms, so we could all take time to be in smaller groups if we wanted to. The game rooms and movie theaters were wonderful and kept us occupied all weekend. The kitchen is marvelous, and we just kept cooking all weekend because we were so obsessed. We played trivia while drinking wine in the sitting room/family room with the fireplace. Above all, Keith and Devin are great hosts. They were onsite (in a different building, so it was enough distance to give us privacy but not too far and were always available if we had questions), responsive, and understanding. I contacted Keith some time in December of 2023 to learn more about the space, and while we had other options, the clear respect and compassion Keith exuded for me as a potential guest and the passion and excitement he had for the space really drew me in. He even offered a group tour before signing the contract. I trusted him entirely, and he was absolutely so generous and fair throughout the whole process. We're coming back in less than three months because our time there was simply magical. It's hard to admit, but part of me hopes it stays a hidden gem just for us to enjoy. Yet, deep down, I know that anyone who discovers this place will feel as blessed as we did. I truly wish for others to experience the joy and tranquility that we found there.
