Most recently I've started scent work with my new puppy and have been attending the basic obedience classes with the puppy. The trainers are friendly and knowledgeable and the classes are fun. But, most importantly, we've seen great results and I truly have 2 pleasant dogs.

Young staff member lectured us if we were a little late, claiming we were throwing their whole schedule off. Rarely were there other vehicles or customers there, so I'm not sure how that was possible. Their services usually took 5 -10 minutes, with every minute of it seeming rushed, adding anxiety to our dog. Staff member didn't appear to have maturity to handle challenges, or interested in our dog. Based upon what staff we've met, you might get a good experience, but you're just as likely to get told that any problem is because of you or your dog, and they can't help you. Oh, and they pre-charge for the services, so if you don't have a good experience, well, that must be because you did something wrong. Pleasant for their accounting, not so much for your dog.

We signed our 2 year old rescue up for a a 2 week board and train. She is an awesome dog who needed…read moremanners and recall. From the begining Katie was easy to communicate with and we received all the informaiton we needed quickly. Lauren was our trainer and she started communicating with us before she came to pick up our dog. Day of pickup, Lauren came to get her and talked with me about what we were hoping to achieve, specifics of the behaviors we were trying to correct, etc. She made sure I was comfortable and had all my questions answered before she left with our dog. Everyday we got a report card for our dog that had pictures, video, comments on what they worked on that day and how she was doing, how much she was eating, going to the bathroom, etc. This was so awesome to see the progress! Our kids looked forward to the report card everyday so they could see our dog and it helped with them missing. I kept saying "that can't be our dog!", the progress was amazing. Lauren was always available via text if we had questions or comments, too. She did reach out a few times during the training to touch base, which was nice. The day of dropoff, Lauren arrived with our dog and spent time with us before the reunion. This was helpful to make sure she had our undivided attention when training us on how to use the e-collar, the commands, etc. We were then able to greet our dog and have a moment before we jumped right into working on all her new commands and learning how to use them. Come, sit, down, place, heel, off. 6 simple commands that truly have made a world of difference! We spent 2 hours with Lauren at dropoff and it was so important for us! She made sure we were comfortable with the commands, understood how to use them, and encouraged us to hold our dog accountable to the commands. She warned us that dropoff day would be the most challenging day and it'd get easier as the days went by and our dog was used to us using the commands and working with her. She was SO right. We work with our dog daily and it is so amazing to see how she has progressed! We now have a well mannered dog who listens. We have had so many people tell us that she is a completely different dog, it's amazing. We would NEVER have been able to take our dog's leash off and trust she'd listen and come back when called, and now we feel confident in her recall abilities. One week after training we were able to take her to a farm property and let her run free, and it was incredible to see watch her come running when we said COME! Honestly, astonishing! I was sending Lauren text updates like a proud Mom. Lauren was great with followup after drop off, as well. She made sure we know that we can reach out anytime and she'll be there to help support us as we continue working with out dog. Having her as a resource is awesome. I can't say enough good thinkgs about OLK9 and would highly recommend them for your training needs. We are so so happy with the results of our dog's training!

We've owned Rottweilers for over 20 years, but when Casimir was about 7 months old, we were dealing with some behavior issues we'd never experienced before. He's always been a good boy, but some of his behaviors were directed toward me, and only me, and we honestly didn't know how to address them. We'd already been taking him to daycare at K9 Academy International, so when we realized he needed more help, we decided to enroll him in their board-and-train program. It was absolutely the right decision. Nino, Taylor, Amber, and the entire staff have been incredible. Their expertise, professionalism, and care showed through every step of the process. They took the time to understand Casimir, address the problem behaviors, and teach us how to continue that work at home. We've only had Casimir back for three days, and the change is remarkable. Before, I had tears of frustration. Now, I have tears of joy. The issues we were struggling with have been addressed, but he's still the same happy, energetic puppy we love. He hasn't lost his personality at all. He's just better guided, more confident, and easier for us to communicate with. We know that as long as we stay consistent and continue the training, he'll keep thriving. The staff was always so incredibly understanding and empathetic to his situation and made every accommodation for him to feel safe. We really appreciated the text message and photo check ins to know how he was doing. As nervous owners it really helped reassure us he was in a safe loving situation. The penthouse option allowed the staff to be completely hands off but still give him the freedom to be inside or outside as needed. Although we had to say goodbye to Odin we will continue to take any future pets to whiskers, they truly care so much about each animal that comes through the door!

Staff was friendly, kept us up to date on how our boy was doing. It was our first time leaving him since we adopted our dog. So the small updates helped ease our mind. I believe our boy was feeling sad towards the end of our vacation and wasn't eating much just days before we arrived home. Again the staff was amazing , kept us up to date, worked with us to help Bruno eat and lift his spirits. The grooming part, we are very happy with. Bruno came from a troubled past, sadly he was mistreated and he suffers from anxiety and has a fear of nail trimming and baths. But thankfully we found someone who is very patient, kind and Bruno responds very well with. He's a very affectionate dog and soaks up all the love and attention he gets when he goes in for his grooming

Mary was great, she helped identify canine behaviour and we worked on modifying our pet's response. We learned a lot (both humans and canine) :) Would highly recommend!
