After the tour, I just knew that it was where my husband and I had to get married! Leading up to the wedding day, the team at Woodbine was very responsive and easy to work with when I had any questions. The getting ready space is absolutely stunning and it's nice to have a very clear separation of the bride and groom getting ready spaces so we didn't have any accidental run ins with eachother during the day. I loved being able to have distinct areas for each part of our wedding, with the ceremony being held on the front lawn, cocktail hour inside the mansion (although it ended up being a beautiful day outside so our guests opted to be outside), and then the beautiful clear top tent for our reception. We had a blue and white theme to our wedding, which the decor in the mansion perfectly complemented. The tables and chairs that woodbine has included are also great, there was no need to rent additional ones.

My son and daughter-in-law's wedding was absolutely gorgeous. People wondered throughout the bottom portion of the mansion for hors d'oeuvres and cocktail hour then the ceremony took place in front of the mansion outside and then the reception portion took place under a beautiful tent with lights on the side of the mansion. Julie manages the Mansion and she's an absolute pleasure to work with. The photographers that they hired were the best and took the most beautiful photos. The food that they had catered at the Mansion was just absolutely delicious, especially the mushroom empanadas. The DJ was the chief of police and he was very good at DJing - everyone had a great time! These recommendations I've made, I believe came from Julie as well. Christina also confirmed this in her review, you HAVE to use one of MOYA's vendors. So sorry, Christina, for your horrible experience at Springdale Station, and for getting ripped off. We ALSO definitely do NOT recommend Springdale Station! Honest review for those considering this as a venue: The indoor space is very SMALL. It is not a good location for a large amount of guests. You will find three rooms inside (one with some stairs that are required to access it). The foyer serves as one of these rooms, so once you make it through the line to get inside, you are inside one of the three small rooms! The event we attended was very crowded and everyone was bumping into each other. Again, in OUR experience, this is NOT a good venue for a large group of people. The outside has a very small patio, with a LARGE amount of dirt. Definitely not a good location for anything even slightly dressy. Something casual, cowboy-like, perhaps a kids' casual party...those might work. The dirt area is large. (And VERY dirty!) We came home with dirt up to our calves. Gross! Keep this in mind, and check this out thoroughly before signing any contract with Moya. Buyer beware!!! Outside seating on the small patio was extremely limited. Literally only ONE sofa. Moya needs to addressed this. Would be nice if guests could actually sit down. Ridiculously inhospitable! We have attended several events in Austin, this one is only suitable for a super casual OUTDOOR event. (And hopefully it is priced accordingly...). Again, please prepare to get dirty if the weather is dry, and if it rains you will have muddy shoes. If you wear any type of heel, you will sink into their wet mud. Again, this is another item that Moya still needs to address. (Hello? GREATLY enlarge that tiny patio!). Good grief. Last issue - parking. Many other reviewers have also mentioned this. The parking lot was large, but it was (is) shared by other businesses so finding an actual parking spot was very difficult. Highly recommend if you have to go to Springdale Station that you use a taxi, (etc.) to get there and back. Again, research thoroughly before committing. There are so many other decent venues in Austin, we don't know why anyone would pick this one!

The Taylor Mansion was everything we had imagined for our big day and more. The grounds were well maintained and everything was in full bloom. A few reasons why we picked The Taylor Mansion: 1. The location, its in the city but felt like the country. 2. The crystal ballroom, a beautiful well air conditioned room that had the elegance we were looking for. 3. The endless photo opportunities, the house and grounds have multiple areas for perfect wedding photos. 4. The owners, Lindsey and Robert! They were there to answer any questions and advise us throughout the whole experience. You can tell this is their passion. They are helpful and kind venue owners who went beyond our expectations and helped make our day truly magical! The nostalgic aesthetic, the multiple rooms and floors, the ballroom upstairs, the balconies, the view of the capitol building, and the twinkling lights on the oaks on the lawn made for a romantic and chic celebration that our friends and family still talk about! Caswell House and the team behind it (shoutout especially to Kelly Treybig) were a dream to work with. The rates are affordable, and the venue is very accommodating, even with our more DIY approach. If you're looking for an event venue in Austin, Caswell House is exceptional. Highly recommend!

I had the opportunity to attend a wedding at One Eleven East recently and was blown away by this venue. It lent itself beautifully to a 2020 wedding- with such an open, airy aesthetic that you feel compelled to throw up a pic on your IG because you're suddenly at 'influencer-level gorgeous' standing against these white bricks with that fabulous golden-hour lighting. Let's talk about logistics. As a guest, Hutto is definitely not right near Austin, but the Lyft ride wasn't bad at all and the wedding had set up a shuttle bus to get folks to the Austin hotel after the wedding. I'm not sure how many Lyfts or Ubers you'd find if you went searching at 11pm, so the shuttle back was a big plus. The venue itself had two large spaces (one presumably for the ceremony and the other for dinner), with a bar space and an outdoor area (cocktail hour vibes). I didn't see a kitchen, but this wedding had dinner set up as a buffet in the now-empty ceremony room, catered by a BBQ food truck out back. There's an upstairs area for the bridal party to get ready, which presumably has a bathroom (I didn't get up there. I was a +1). The bathroom sitch for guests included a women's room with a couple of stalls and shared sink/mirror space and one single men's room (which caused a bit of a line, but not terrible). Overall, if I was an Auton...ite? Austonian? Anyway, if I lived in Austin, I would absolutely consider this venue. It's minimalist, historic vibe allows you to forgo the unpleasant hotel ballroom pipe-and-drape decor, and you can add a few bits of greenery and call it a day with decor. FABULOUS!
