Dr. Ben DeYoung is the absolute best! I was in a car…read moreaccident 9 months ago and completed an entire treatment plan of chiropractic adjustments at a different practice until they said I was on "maintenance" even though I was still having severe neck pain, fatigue and numbness on left side of my face with headaches. I did a treatment plan of Physical therapy which helped some, but still did not resolve all of my symptoms. I was at my wits end when I called and scheduled with McAlpine chiro. For the first time since my accident, I finally felt heard and could sense his genuine compassion and eagerness to want to help me. After the first two adjustments I already had relief from the pain that I had for 8 months. Soon my mood improved, my extreme fatigue started to go away, and the pain was minimal. For 8 months my whole life was on pause. I was a completely different person. Once I went to McAlpine Chiro, I started making plans for activities with my family again! Going on bike rides, and making plans to participate in all the things I used to enjoy. Dr. De Young saved my summer. I had an awful 8 months missing out on downhill skiing and ice hockey on the pond with my family, and now feel renewed and refreshed and back to my active fun loving self again. Thank you Dr. DeYoung for all of your compassion and for your excellent skill of cracking backs and taking names... or making claims (insurance claims) .. See he even has me telling my bad jokes again. Thanks again! You're the BEST!

They took me in as quickly as they could, and were comforting and pleasant seeing I was in lower back pain. Dr. Ben DeYoung is wonderful. After x-rays, an assessment of my pain areas, he completely explained what he needed to do to help me. He is a good listener and takes his time with patients, giving them individual care with no rushed feeling. After a few treatments, I'm happy to report, I'm in good shape. I also do yoga and continued with some appropriate stretches that Dr. Ben approved of and felt they would help my home care. I would highly recommend the McAlpine Chiropractic Group. You will go in with pain, and come out feeling the ease of pain and wonderful care.

LIFE SAVER!!!!!!!!!! Again!!!!!! Dr. Joe saves the day again!…read moreI could write a book on All the attributes I should give Dr. Joe and Crystal but the most recent one was a lifesaver! Two days ago my knee began to swell and hurt with intense burning and pain. I went to Zeeland hospital where they took an x-ray and said it's not broken. (I already knew it was not broken!) they wrapped it up and sent me home with a note it was a sprain. Next morning my knee was all bright red. Frustrated with the hospitals results I called Crystal, at Shugula's office! I had explained to her the situation she was able to squeeze me in to be seen!!!!! Johnny on the spot! Dr. Joe Had me take off the ace wrap. He Examined my knee structure made a funny face and said" I think you have an infection in your knee!" He suggested to go To Holland Hospital. I went to Holland Hospital Immediately after I was seen by Dr. Joe. Really long story made shorter..... HE SAVED MY LIFE! I had bursitis and cellulitis in my knee if I would've kept it wrapped and sat on the couch for two weeks like Zeeland hospital told me to do the infection would've traveled to my heart and could've died. Dr. Joe is more than a chiropractor Crystal is more than an assistant! You won't find an office that is even remotely comparable to Shuluga chiropractic! I gave you 5 million stars!

cannot recommend this practice based on my experience…read more The office staff was consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of listening to my concerns or communicating respectfully, I felt like I was treated as an inconvenience from the beginning. Even more concerning, important information was not accurately communicated to my healthcare providers. When I attempted to clarify the facts and correct the misinformation, I was met with hostility rather than a willingness to resolve the issue. Instead of addressing my concerns or taking responsibility for the communication breakdown, I was dismissed from the practice. Being removed as a patient simply for trying to ensure my medical information was accurate is deeply disappointing and raises serious concerns about how patient concerns are handled. Every patient deserves to be treated with respect, to have accurate information communicated to their provider, and to be able to advocate for themselves without fear of retaliation. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
