April 22, 2022 Spontaneous stop for donuts and this place popped up on Yelp. Went into a small no frills family donut shop. They didn't have a wide variety at noon on a Friday but they had what I wanted... sprinkled donuts! We go to Grand Donuts alot for kolachies - Large Jalapeno cheese and the small, both are very good. Their donuts are light and very tasteful! They have given me several dozen donuts for our church, New Hope Baptist on Hwy 646. different occasions. Try them they are great! read more

These guys have the best glazed donuts I have ever had in my life. I recently lost quite a bit of weight. Well, I added 2 pounds from donuts alone! Haha, I cannot get enough of them. I also eat their spicy boudan kolache, just for the sake of health. But their spicy Boudan is still better than most boudan I have had. If you are in the area, check them out. Also, it's a family owned restaurant. The people here are great, and they are very quick with service. I have not had a single bad experience since I had come here. read more

Hands down the absolute BEST kolaches ever!!! Their maple bacon donuts and chocolate chip donuts are to die for!!! The owners are so sweet and go above and beyond to accommodate you. I placed an order in advance for pink and blue donuts with sprinkles for my daughters birthday. Blue was not a color they usually made, but they went and bought the stuff to make our order. This is our go to donut shop, no matter how many others are closer. Can't beat grand donuts!!! read more

Hands down, the best local donut shop. We recently discovered grand donuts and are having to make sure we don't make a habit out of coming. Their old fashioned, glazed and chocolate covered, are to die for! They have a nice crunch on the bottom yet so soft in the middle. The blueberry cake donut could put shipleys to shame any day of the week. The chocolate filling in the chocolate filling could be addictive. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The inside is super clean but you might opt for going to their easy access drive through. Some donut shops have horrible drive thrus but this is easy in and out. We always saw lines out of the parking lot and finally decided to try it when we started coming from seabrook to do laundry next door. I'm glad I don't live closer, I would become too much of a regular. read more

If you want a freshly made donut on a Saturday morning, don't go to Grand Donuts in Bacliff. Astonishingly, Grand Donuts does not make fresh donuts on the weekend. My husband went to buy a dozen donuts this morning. When he got back into the car to try one, he noticed they weren't warm and fresh, so he went back into the store and asked what was up? The two guys working behind the counter said they could warm them up, but my husband said no that he wanted to exchange them for fresh ones made today. The guys admitted that they don't make fresh donuts on the weekend. We are dumbfounded as to why everyone in San Leon and Bacliff rave about this donut shop. Do yourself a favor and drive a little further up 146 and find a donut shop that makes fresh donuts every day. read more
