Update 11/27/2024 on 11/08/2024 I received a call from Jason from grand design who stated he was going to reopen my claim and he knew the recreational vehicle was still at the dealership. He stated the technician was out and he would be in contact. Today the 27th of November 2024 the dealership nor myself has been contacted and I will start accruing storage fees at a daily rate, I've attempted to contact the manufacturer with only a recording that they are not available. Update: grand design requested by comment on 11/01/2024 that I contact them via phone or email because they did not have my updated information, which is not true because they recently denied my claim filed 09/11/2024. I emailed them on 11/01/2024 and it is now 11/07/2024 and still have not been contacted back even though they strive to respond within 48 hrs. Complete garbage, I purchased an RV from grand design in 2020, in 2021 and had a claim for water damage for $13,300 that was approved by the manufacturer. On September 11th 2024 I had to take the RV to the place of purchase again for the same damage but this time it equals $16,600. The RV was purchased for around $64,000. The total of damage in three years is valued at 1/2 the cost of the unit. And grand design is denying the claim that they have previously warranted. The water is coming off the back deck and soaking into the floor and with the floors having a protective wintering cover one can not see up to the floor from underneath. The damage cannot be observed like water coming down the walls from the ceiling, the damage can only be observed when it is too late.

First time I used it in the awning extended correctly. But when I retracted it, the back door was open and it caught on the bracket. And rendered it Is useless. Grand design response.I should have closed the door before retracting it. Nowhere in the manual does it say you need to have. The doors closed to retract the awing. What a bunch of chumps!!

My second review since our second slide-out broke. Just way too many problems with Grand Design RV Solitude 390RK-R 5th wheel to list. From nails popping through the floor and linoleum to leaking roof. Grand Design knowing the kitchen slide outs never had rollers installed to properly carry the weight still denied us twice to reimburse us to fix their mistakes. The local Grand Design dealer required full payment and told us to contact the company even with an assigned control number. Worst mistake in our life was buying a Grand Design

    The water overflow caused this.

Grand Design sold us $90,000 Solitude with an extra fitting hole in grey tank. This caused the tank to overflow out the underbelly. Grand Design service mechanic confirmed the issue. Grand Design denied the warranty claim saying 'we don't know how the extra fitting hole got there'.

    Roof

Terrible RV It all looks nice but falls apart when you put it on the road . 2021 Solitude nothing but problems from the island falling apart Now the roof is in bad shape that's leaving it under a carport all but a couple times a year not even 3 years old .. All the money they cost they should warranty these things a little better are make sure they put together right .

    Does this look level???

We purchased our Grand Design, Imagine in January and things have been falling apart right and left. We are currently on a trip and one of our stabilizers completely buckled (which had been reported as having issues prior). The molding are completely off (delivered off), the slide ripped the linoleum, the backing board for the TV did not exist. So many problems with this trailer that I can't even comprehend. This is how the TV was delivered and we were told, it's an easy adjustment - no such thing with this trailer. Never Again!!!! And on top of it - Grand Designs hold time is over an hour for customer service. If you choose an option for a call back - they don't call you back. POS company!!!

Not only did I get the parts for my RV fixed in about three weeks but it looks as good as it did when we drove it off the lot in July 2017.

We were kept appraised of the timeline as work went along. Although it took a little while due to supply chain issues in the RV industry here in Elkhart, it was WELL WORTH the wait. Our rig looks brand new. It's a beautiful job well done. We wouldn't hesitate to drive a distance to come back to Allegiant for any future repairs or service needs. Although it's a small shop, it's mighty. The staff is professional, courteous, and well skilled in dealing with any repair or body issues you might have with your RV. If you read the reviews on Google, they are a 5 star company in Middlebury, IN, and we can't say enough about how well we were treated and how beautiful our rig looks. We left a positive review there, too, we are so grateful for the awesome job you did. Thank you, to Tony, and the professional skilled people you have working for you. You are a true asset to the Elkhart RV industry.

When I dropped off the unit gentleman looked it over and nothing further was said. I was called a few days later by the gentleman, who advised the the total was $1185.65. I explained how I was told a ballpark number near $400. He said I don't know where the number would have come from. Picked up the unit today, stared a conversation about how much the cost differs from the ballpark quote. The owner very quickly stated he doesn't work for free and the lady never told me those numbers. He said either pay $1185 or leave the unit . I understand not working for free.. however nobody would accept a cost of three times the original ballpark without even a phone call to see if this is ok to proceed. Will never return and will advertise often about my experience. The requested work was not satisfactory either, didn't even do a complete reseal as asked, touched up the vents not new sealant, the lights were also not resealed either. See photos

My slide had to be removed for repairs and, because of manufacturing defects, some rotted floor had to be replaced, and some other issues along with electrical (again, a dealer caused problem). I stopped there on a trip and let them have it for 2 days and the work was done very well. They were very professional, friendly, and accommodating. Even though they are 1,000 miles from my house, I will save any major repair that can make it here until I am on a trip so they can work on it. Very happy customer here.
