This place is a very nice find in Grand Forks. It can sometimes be pricey for a few decor items but…read moreit's convenience you're buying. The clothes are nice and they have a lot of name brand stuff that you just have to search for. The men's department is extremely nice too with a huge selection. I often do my Christmas shopping here for my family. They also have a lot of quality foods that include canned jams, spices, Gourmet dried pastas, and much more. You can never go wrong with one of those gifts. I say, why not? It's an awesome place for an awesome price and you can always find something you're looking for.

First the good....I like this store, they have decent merchandise and their pricing is excellent…read more I stop in periodically to check out what's new. Here's the problem......every time I go to this store, the checkout line is at least 10-20 deep, only one checker and that checker NEVER calls for extra checkers. Also, this is NOT a lack of workers problem, they have several employees stocking shelves and wondering the store. They are never called to help checkout, they must feel it's more important stocking shelves and straightening shelves rather than actually make a sale and profit. I'm not the only one who refuses to stand in a line 20 deep to buy a couple of items, Many people do as I do and just leave my cart or basket and walk out the store. The business they are losing by not having enough check-out people must be huge. I'm done with this store.

I had not been to a Ross in over a year since moving from Oregon and I did kind of miss it. I was…read morepretty happy to pull up to the Petsmart and see this Ross next door, in I went. This is an easily shoppable store, well organized and pretty clean. The greeter was extremely nice and helpful, giving me a cart that had been cleaned. Cruised around looking for Christmas gifts and to get a feel of back home when shopping Ross was a regular thing and enjoyed every minute of it. I found several items, made a smooth purchase and was out the door pretty dang quick. I will be back when in Grand Forks next!

I went and asked and found out they had just gotten audited and had to shut the rooms down. Type something up to the effect of all dressing rooms closed today, print it out, and tape it to those signs maybe? Then the line to check out was so long multiple times. Asked one of the cashiers - who was very nice and working efficiently, if they were short staffed. She said no, they had a truck and other employees were helping with that. The thing that got me was the assistant manager wasn't so interested in customer service. Was walking up from the back of the store leisurely and pretended not to notice all the people in line. A quick, I'm opening up another lane after I help another customer, is all it would have taken to give the impression she cared about wanting our money. She went to a counter and helped another customer, taking her time, despite all the people waiting in line. She eventually (finally) started checking others out. I get that maybe they weren't expecting it to be that busy (Saturday before Easter) but at least pick up the pace and communicate with the customers instead of being annoyed she had customers. Something! Maybe she did at some point during the day. It just seemed like she was mad how the day was turning out and she wasn't going to attempt to have customer service skills. She is management and with that comes greater responsibility!!
