This seems to be the biggest indoor mall in Grand Forks. It's close to Texas Roadhouse. There are about 10-15 stores that have closed and there are no businesses in them. Besides that, there is a pretzel place, Spencer's, Scheels, JC Pennys, and African restaurant that is big, 2 huge life size pac man video games... it's great for walking and shielding you from the snow during winter. All around a nice mall...just not a lot of stores as most big cities have but it's enough for this sweet small town of Grand Forks! read more

This mall is really pathetic. I worked in the mall in high school nearly 20 years ago and the mall was much better then!! It is really sad that this is the case because the town has grown but the mall has nothing. This mall is a ghost town. I also used to work at The Ground Round across the street from this mall and there were always Canadian shoppers. Now they all go to Fargo. City leaders need to get it together--you are losing money that could help the growth of this town. If you are familiar with South Forks Plaza--Columbia Mall is just barely better than this (and this is saying a lot). read more

Guys....it's time to cut and run.....With the exception of the Scheels, this place is kind of depressing.

I'm not sure what the owners of this mall are doing but it is so empty. Got back this spring and rumor had it they were kicking out Eddie Bauer. Victoria's Secret and gap have also left. I used to hear rumors that if you were part of the mall you had to remodel every three years which seems ridiculous. Not sure what is going on. There was a cute new little boutique next to Scheels. If Scheels hadn't moved into the old target it would be completely dead. read more

I mean it's a mall in North Dakota, what exactly are we looking for? From what I can tell, it looks like they may have done a little renovating since some of the last reviews on here. I will say, however, you are very aware of the fact that there aren't any windows. They have more stores than I was expecting. From memory: Scheels, Maurices, Rue 21, Buckle, Gap, Justice, Hot Topic, Spencers, CJ Banks, Victoria's Secret, JC Penny, Macy's, Claires and I'm sure I'm missing a ton. Updating my review after shopping at the local cell phone kiosk near Kay jewelers. Due to COVID the mall was dead. I walked up to the kiosk and asked how much they charge to repair cracked iPhone screens, the man spoke broken English, but said $25. I said "wow that's cheap!" Showed him my crack, and he asked to take the case off to repair it. I then confirmed again it was only $25 to replace the cracked screen, he said yes. He then turned his back to me, was cleaning the phone and got out some tools. Seconds later he turned back around and handed me my phone back and said he was finished. My screen was not replaced. All he did was put a sticker screen protector "tempered glass" over my cracked screen. (Nope not kidding...) I told him I wanted a new screen not a sticker over the top of an old screen, and he apologized for misunderstanding and he can't actually repair the broken screen. (?!) I asked him to remove the sticker he put on top of the cracked screen and he said "that is not possible". I had my toddler with me and didn't want to argue. I was frustrated but willing to pay the $25 dollars and let it go. As I handed him my card, (on the register it says they accept visa, MasterCard, Amex ect.) but as I went to pay the $25 he told me he will only accept cash. (?!) At this point I felt like this place was a scam. I told him I didn't have cash on me, and if he wants payment for providing the service I never asked for, then he needed to take my card. (Again plastered at the register that they take all cards!) He ended up telling me to forget about it, but something is not right here. I feel like this booth is scamming people. read more

This mall is truly a sign of the times. I've read from older users that this used to be a vibrant place to shop, attracting not just North Dakota residents but also Canadians. Nowadays, it's all but a ghost town solely because it has a Scheels attached to it. read more

This place is now a horrible place to shop! There are hardly any stores left. The entire wing where the food court is located only has 1 store. The food court only has 1 restaurant available and it was not even open on the Saturday that I visited. What happened to this place?! It is now a ghost town! read more

Sigh, so I went here for the first time last week.... its is small and the stores within it are smaller versions of the stores in larger cities. Its rather odd actually. When in a pinch and not looking for something in particular you can probably find something here. They have a Macy's, Gap, Victoria's Secret, Sears, JC Penny's, Aeropostale, American Eagle... I think that is all I remember of the big name stores you see around. Better off making the trek to Mall of America if you want to do some serious shopping. There is also a little food court inside, I have not ate at any of the places. I'm not a fan of fast food & that is pretty much what is there. read more

Columbia Mall - Shopping Centers Near Me - Grand Forks, North Dakota

It has stores that are decent but the mall looks very outdated, It still has carpet. The food court is a sad sight. The seating area is nice but pointless. It doesn't make sense to have a food court that nice since there are only 2 places to eat and they're never open. Overall, it's a boring mall to walk through. read more

Its another standard mall that does nothing to set itself apart from any other one. I usually skip this one when in town.

It's your standard mall with Macy's and all. It has what you need as far as shopping needs just not a ton of stores to choose from. Me personally, it's just fine except I wish the food court was bigger. They have a thousand chairs but only like 4 not so good places to eat. lol And they should bring back the buffet they used to have by Sears... read more

My husband and I agree that the mall is dark with a great need to expand their stores. The mall could use a great remodel like the Fargo, ND mall. We love all the windows in Fargo with the vaulted ceilings and fireplace when you walk in the vending area. Even when you go to penny's they have a great fountain with lots of light. Its warm and invited which is what bring customers into a place and want to shop/spend money. We say the more business you bring to an area-the more jobs you create-the more money you bring to a community. It really benefits everyone! read more

Step into Columbia Mall and be instantly transported back to 1986. If your lucky you may even catch a glimpse of Marty McFly, or some cutting edge breakdancers also frequenting the establishment. You can always find a sale on Tang, and new VHS releases. Gotta go guys, The movie Goonies just came out and is playing down the road at the Carmike. read more
