I like these guys overall, and it helps they are close to my work. They have great prices, and friendly staff, and their baked goods and sandwiches are yum. My downsides are this. I go through their drive thru a lot, and I would say a third of the time I must repeat my order a couple times at least. The ordering speakers or headphones seem to need work. Along those lines, there have been a few times when, even after repeating my order, I get the wrong thing in my coffee. Not often, but it has happened in the past. My final complaint is that the mix of milk, coffee, and flavor shot seems to favor milk too much and flavor too little. On the upside, the coffee they use is a very good one. Again, I want to stress how friendly the workers are there. Many places these days, the employees seem to need an IV of coffee themselves to remind themselves they are working in public. I think they also should be wearing a button that says, "Please remind me to smile." I have worked customer service including food service in the past. A smile won't kill you. GCCS has smiles all over, and it is great! So, if these guys improve their speakers and their accuracy I would give 'em four stars. I stopped for coffee this morning because Starbucks was closed. I usually prefer local coffee shops, but this is not one of them! The person taking my order (drive-thru) was rude and inconsiderate. Every customer, including myself, had to repeat their entire order at the window.. (we couldn't just say "latte" or "bagel" to verify our order.. it was clear that nothing had been keyed in, so we had to repeat our order verbatim). I have been coming here for years and it's always been the best smoothies! The last 2 times I've been here they are just horrible. I always get a raspberry coconut that is usually so creamy with real coconut in it. The last 2 times it just like a icee with just flavoring with big chunks of ice in it. Well I've been in 3 times And the lady with FAKE eyelashes...is a rude eye rolling Brod....She hasn't been nice to me or my husband when we go in there she always has ATTITUDE...Last time she threw down her headset cause she had to help the new gal that was working...But idk if it was because of her or us...Then she had the nerve to slam the drive threw window.. We are regulars and noticed we have been getting more ice in our drinks where our drink is over filling the lid. So we asked if they can be light on the ice. Because we only take like 3 or 4 sips and our drink is gone. Well today we asked for them to be light on the ice and when we got our drinks it was only half way full so they are adding more ice than the product. Not only that the prices are always changing we get a drink that is missing something and than we asked and they say that it is extra or the drink doesn't come with it. It is a hit or miss with these guys now. They lost some valuable customers today. read more

I've been going to this place most of my life. It WAS my preferred coffee place. This morning though, the server was extremely rude. Forgot a muffin that I rodered. Went around the drive through and ordered again. She could not hear or I thought asked me to repeat myself 3 times, so said it louder. Then once on the window she yelled at me that there was no reason to scream and she would not be serving me. I tolde her I thought she had asked me to speak louder. I called back later to Talk to a manager. Turn South that she was the manager. After I try to explain to her what had gone on she Hung up on me. Since this is the place that I usually go each morning to buy my coffee I decided to go and talk to her in person after work. I tried to explain to her that I was not screaming at her. She was very apprehensive extremely rude and told me that the customer is not always right and that this was not Safeway or McDonald's. She proceeded to tell me that I was the rude one and that I need to speak up louder which is exactly what I told her I did. You know what?! This is one heck of an upper scale convenience store and gas station! I walked in and thought I was in the 'whole foods' of gas/coffee places. Fresh baked goods, fresh salads made to-go, Xmas music was playing at a delightful level in the background, coffee barista's smiling & asking if I would like a mocha, and everything was squeaky clean and even a sitting bar like at Starbucks to enjoy my coffee, muffin & TC Herald. They have the best iced chai. However the customer service makes me not want to go back. This one barista makes me not want to go back. Her attitude is short and cold. Doesn't interact with one. The other day I went and pulled up to order. It was quiet. I waited for 3 minutes then drove off. As I passed the window there was a van and they were just chatting. I put gas, and another car pulled up to order. He waited for a while too. As I drove off the van was STILL there, and the barista was still visiting. I don't know if that guy even got his order. I wish i knew her name but if she isn't replaced she will drive customers away. read more

I love this place and the Berry Berry smoothie with the whipped cream on top is YUMMILIOUS. Unfortunately I moved from the Tri Cities and now live in Austin Texas and I have yet to find a place here in Austin to replicate the flavor. Not even Jomba Juice comes close to them. I went back home in 2015 and I went to Grand Central and had to have my favorite smoothie, just for a moment I was in heaven, I'm not going to lie in June of 2017 I had my niece go buy me one and had it sent to me via FEDEX packed in dry ice. I received it and upon opening it I let it thaw ......the waiting had me pacing like a crackhead(not that I know any pacing crackheads). The experience was magical. This was my favorite place but recently the service and quality of product have dropped drastically. The final straw was just now, Monday morning, I spent 15 minutes in the drive thru (no one in line in front of me) before my COLD coffee (I ordered hot) was handed to me and then I had to wait for my bagel. With two girls on bar and no more than two customers in the store, this is by far the WORST drive thru experience. I ended up going inside where they asked me if I wanted them to microwave or steam it? How about you remake it since I ordered it hot and it violates food health regulations to take a drink that a customer has drank out of back and steam it on the steamer? Also, when I went in my toasted bagel was sitting on the counter. It was cold too. They used the wrong mix and insisted they hadn't. Now running late for work, I just said forget it. So much for my Monday morning gym treat. Next time I'll go to McDonalds and save myself five bucks. read more

Their wraps are always soggy. Bread is sometimes stale. And when you buy 12 sandwiches you get a free one. Only catch is that they give you a 1"x2" piece of flimsy receipt paper that blows away in the wind as soon as you walk out the door. And there's "nothing we can do" if you don't have the reciept. People are really helpful and friendly. But, am I the only one who doesn't like the coffee? I get a plain latte with no flavor so the espresso is really important to be. Maybe it was just a bad shot. I stopped by to purchase a lottery ticket and bag of potato chips. The total was more than expected. I asked if there was tax on the chips. Then I pointed out the price of the chips. The clerk just looked at the cash register and repeated the total price. I paid and left without a receipt. I realized that the difference was more than tax would be. I wish I had a receipt to look at and see what the problem really was. I am disappointed that the clerk did not find the problem and correct it. In the future I will make my purchases at another establishment. We are not talking a great deal of money, but it is the principal that matters to me. read more

Lunch time! I love their chicken soup - meaty, with vegtables and lots of noodles - Get it with a decadent chocolate chip brownie to complete your lunch needs. The sandwiches always taste fresh and not stale. The Chai tea with a little milk makes my morning just hum! The people workering there have always been very nice and helpful. This used to be my go to place; i loved their food and customer service was fantastic; until now. I don't know what happened (maybe under new management) but the staff is horrible. I used to walk in and the girls (who are no longer there) used to greet me by my name; how awesome is that. And now it all went downhill. I went in a couple days ago to grab lunch. There was no one in the store (this was about noon-ish; normally it used to be busy) I walked in and there was 2 girls working on some coffee. They just looked at me; didn't say hi or even a smile; they just looked down at what they were doing. I grabbed my lunch and went to the counter. There was 1 girl inches away from the counter. She didn't say "hi, ill be with you soon" or anything. She just walked away. She looked very annoyed. Since I only have a 30 min lunch I didn't have time at all to wait. I maybe waited out 3-4 minutes (no acknowledgement, no smiles, NOTHING).I was so upset I just left the food on the counter. Never again will i come in to that location. I would rather just go across the street to Mcdonalds; now they at least give you a smile and fast service. read more

The coffee drinks are consistently and perfectly prepared (even if you're one of those "soy milk and sugar free vanilla" special order types!), their soup is made fresh daily, and every one I've tried has been absolutely delicious!
