Called Tyreland at 4:00 pm and they said "Get here by 5:00 and we will take care of you." We got there by 4:30 and were out of there with a new tire by 5:10. They were so nice and helpful. Had to get tracking done and asked if they could identify what the knocking noise could be on my…read morecar which was to do with the front suspension, they have checked and noticed a part which was on its way out that another mechanic didn't identify. Got booked in a week later, on the day after changing the parts the noise has indeed reduced! But there was something else causing the clunking noise.. they gladly invited me to come back around a few hours later after i called in. We did a test drive with one of the mechanics who was very helpful; he has lifted up the car again and checked through again and has found that the previous mechanic didn't tighten the droplinks correctly. He has tightened them correctly and long behold the noise was completely gone! No extra charge and a lot of peace of mind!! Would recommend!

Mechanic came..I described problem..I said I think it's a coil. He said maybe but gave me worse case scenario which would be engine rebuild. I said oh..well hopefully not. The mechanic said hang on there and I'll do a diagnostic on it. I said ok. Few minutes later he said yeah it's just a coil. I was reveived. So do you have a coil in stock I asked..he said later this evening if you leave the car here. I said is there some one who could drop me back to sallins? He said no..only 3 mechanics on today..that's okay I said...I'll walk.. So how much is it I said...90e he replied. 90e I said.. oh..no thanks I said..there is a auto motor factor up the road I can get this coil for 45e plus vat and fit it myself..sorry I said but that's just too expensive. He took my keys from my car and said he would speak to a manager. He came back 5 minutes later and said no sorry that's the price..(i didnt ask him to negotiate) he said if you go into reception I'll put good back on your car. I walked to reception but I didnt go in..I waited outside in view of my car. He finished putting my hood on and walked with my keys again into staff reception entrance. He came back out a few minutes later and told me to go into reception and see the woman on the desk. I said why? He said oh there is a 50e charge for diagnostics. I said I refuse to pay that..I'm sorry..but that was not discussed with me. He walked away again with my keys into staff reception area and a grey hair man with glasses came out and said you have to pay this..its a standard charge..look at this piece of paper ..its a printout of the diagnostic. I said I'm not paying 50e for a piece of paper..and I was told the mechanic was going to take a look.. I stood my ground until the grey hair man said to mechanic give her keys back...and said to me get out of here ye mad yolk..

I recently bought a 07 car off this garage. After having the car for 4.5 months the engine gave up…read moreand needed replacing. There were only 55,000 miles on it. I went back down to the seller to be told that it wasn't covered by warranty and I had no comeback whatsoever. I eventually reached an agreenment with the seller for half of the costs of repair. This took 3 weeks. I asked for the car to serviced before I bought it. I was told it would be but turns out it never was. The seller is confused about this. The first time I went down he said that he sold it to me on the understanding that it needed to be serviced. Second time I went down He said it had been serviced!!. Basically sat away from this business. I am able to accept that what happen to the car may not have been garages fault. But the customer service was a joke. 4.5 months later a thousand euro to fix. AVOID!!
