Teresa and her team walked us through every step of the way helping picking out vendors, decorations and all the small details that made everything very special for us. We were quite surprised feeling we were at a Hill Country location just a mile off IH 35 and Weidner. So beautiful and peaceful. The venue was decorated perfectly and Meredith was our host for the evening...she is a rock star and helped us with our 5 hour party to address every detail. Bridal suite was nice although my Hubby wasn't happy with there holding room (only negative). We had our reception on March 28,2021 at Hill side and it was beautiful with the sunset! We loved how they do all the decor and you have your own coordinator for the event. The only negative thing is that it did take a while to get our refund and our $500 deposit back. So if they owe you money, please keep calling them to give you your money back. And when we had to postpone our wedding due to covid, they refused to move it even though they double booked us. We were very fortunate to worked with a special coordinator who convinced the owner to have our reception on our one year anniversary. read more

I want to first acknowledge I don't usually leave reviews but I understand how important your wedding day is. I can say with 100% honesty choosing Granberry Hills Event Facility as my Venue was one of the best decisions my husband and I made. We met the Granberry team at the bridal extravaganza in 2019. The price, the package and the BEAUTIFUL ceremony and reception area took our breath away. Teresa and Natalie were always 1 call away as we started to prepare for our big day and never missed a beat. When the pandemic first hit us, the owner Bob Lowman reached out personally to discuss options. We knew we had to postpone the wedding ceremony but it was very important to us to get married on April 16th 2020. Bob offered to allow us to get married with just our pastor and 3 guest on the Gardenside and we did exactly that. Teresa was there with us and even though she had to keep her distance from us she still was there for support and that meant so much to us. Fast forward to our NEW wedding date December 6th 2020. A month before our big day I got extremely ill and needed emergency surgery. I reached out to the venue and was so worried that I wouldn't be able to reschedule. By the grace of God, Bob reached out and allowed me to reschedule on April 16th 2021, yes on our 1 year anniversary. How amazing is that? During a time when the wedding industry was just getting back on their feet, during April the peak of wedding season, and on a Friday?!?! Bob cared so much about us that he made a decision that was not the "best" business decision but a decision he knew would make us happy. On our wedding day, April 16 2021 we arrived at the venue and Teresa our assigned coordinator and the rest of the Granberry team set up everything EXACTLY the way that we wanted it. (YES THEY SET UP EVERYTHING FOR YOU). My wedding party and I were running a bit behind and Teresa helped get us back on track. Teresa continuously checked on me and made sure that the rest of the bridal party knew exactly what was happening next. As I was about to make my grand entrance I looked over and saw Bob standing there and I literally started crying and had to ask for a hug because this man is more than just a business owner he is a kind, supportive, patient man and one of my heroes. He made my dream wedding a reality and I can never thank him enough for that. Thank you to the entire Granberry team. Special shoutout to the best coordinator ever Teresa, you made my night STRESS FREE and Ron and I were so lucky to have you there on our wedding date and there for our celebration/vow renewal. Although my wedding felt like a dream come true, everything was so beautiful and set up just like I imagined, I was pretty disappointed at the end of my wedding night. First off, I understand that there IS a mask policy. and that's completely fine, I understand. However, I heard there were some guests that were not wearing them before the ceremony began. I didn't have any control over that.. I did feel like I got some attitude from my coordinator.. like she was taking her frustration out on me. It made me feel like I was doing something wrong. During the reception when people were dancing, some people were still not were not wearing their masks.. I told everyone ahead of time this is how it's going to be but I mean, I cannot go up to every single person telling them to put their mask on on my wedding day. Well, towards the end of the night, my coordinator tells my mom that she would not be getting her $500 deposit fee back because people weren't wearing masks AND they took away my sparkler send off. How was this my fault? I did what I could by telling people before hand and yet something that was supposed to be very special was taken away from my husband and I. I think it could've been handled differently and I'm honestly just upset with the way we were treated and the attitude I received. It hurt to see my mom being treated like a little kid for something she didn't have control of. They make you feel like family & the location, with it's two ballrooms & ceremony sites is GORGEOUS!!! The wedding coordinators do everything they can to make your wedding day stress free. I was at the wedding Sophia T is talking about & the problem was NOT the venue's nor the wedding coordinator's...it was the guests who were insistent on subverting the mask mandate put in place by the GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF TEXAS! I admit I had a hard time keeping my mask on but I kept to my table as much as possible so I didn't have to wear it that much. The wedding was BEAUTIFUL & so much fun...it's unfortunate that apparently guests, who all knew in advance of the mask requirement, couldn't just be thankful that the wedding was able to be held at all during a pandemic & mask up. read more

We came early to see the venue... they threaten to charge the bride for an extra hour? We saw a coordinator yell at a cake decorator shouting, " Everything needs to be done when it gets here!!!!!" A bizzilion times. The cake obviously fell over in the car. (Watch out! The road to get here is GHETTO and filled with horrible rocky speed bumps and potholes!!!!!) so the coordinator turned her back away and didn't even offer to help. We felt like we were watching a really bad movie. Uh hello? That obviously made the situation worse. Stop yelling and help be poor cake lady! They made her work on the cake table. They wanted to charge the bride for the use of another table... By the way... this place is so cheap, they do not turn on the ac until they start seeing guests. So the cake frosting was melting and my hair was ruined because it was so hot in the venue. The workers eat more food than the guests. We passed by the kitchen and not only did we see yellow stained cutting boards (this caused us not to eat dinner there yuck!), we saw the workers eating the food and desserts. We overheard the coordinator talking bad about the bride and calling her horrible. OK really? You are going to talk bad about the bride at the wedding? Talk about her at home or after the wedding. What if guests heard you like we did? It's unprofessional. It's unorganized. It's a venue that tries to take every penny from who ever is paying. The parking lot has an 80's light up sign that tells you where to park for the four weddings that can occur in the area. Feels like a gas station. You can hear other weddings reception music from your reception. The coordinator pushed us into the reception building even though we wanted to stay outside. She again yelled at people. We are not children. It's a wedding. Supposed to be happy. You totally ruined it. I feel badly for the bride. Whatever you do... don't have your even here. What an unpleasant experience. read more

I totally understand having a wedding coordinator to make sure things run smoothly but I'm sorry to say the one at this wedding was awful! She was not friendly rude and sometimes things end up off the time frame. But to actually yell at the bride and make her cry on HER wedding day is awful!
