We opened the trusty Yelp app and found Pizzeria Trianon literally around the corner from the "must go" spot. We walked up and were seated in seconds. The "fabulous" place has 4 options; Trianon has 25+. We went with a Diavolo (spicy Neapolitan salami, Calabrian peppers, fior di latte and tomato), and a tonno (Italian tuna, black olives, capers, fior di latter). The pizzas were cooked and served in 10 minutes; they were very large for a single eater (but that didn't stop us from trying to finish each one!). It's hard to imaging that the "famous" place made better pizza than this, and that waiting an hour would be worth it. If you must, you must; but if you are hungry and want amazing pizza at a very reasonable price, stop in here. 2 excellent pies and 2 bottled soft drinks were 25 euro. Highly, highly recommended.

We had the Capricciosa (Ham, mushroom, olives, cheese and oil) and the Salsiccia (Sausage and mushroom) pizzas and they were cooked to perfection! These fellas are eager to please and this place should be packed! Come give them a try while in Napoli.

Many other reviewers have mentioned that this is the best meal that they've had in the entire country and unfortunately, without sounding like a false advertisement, I absolutely must agree. This was the best meal I have had in the entire country and I have traveled Italy extensively. They only have a couple of tables, the brothers, along with mama and Bridget, deliver an incredible meal, incredible experience, and the way the patrons feel after the experience cannot be matched. What the hell if we ordered Caesar salad, then meatballs, then gnocchi, then seafood with linguine, then the local catch of the day which today was amberjack, then ribeye, then dessert. I'm not alone in my prayer of this restaurant, my wife and my three children are unanimous that this was the absolute best meal that they have had in Italy. I strongly recommend this restaurant, but I would mention that you need to get there early because they do not take reservations. Please feel free to joke with Bridget about her Texan roots and her hallmark story which caused her to settle in Positano!

Since it was so hot during our stay in Sorrento, we opted to sit inside. We were guided down a flight of stairs, which led to an elegant dining area that was once the 16th century wine cellar for a former monastery. There is also another flight of stairs that lead up to more seating, and the wine cellar. Once seated, we were handed the wine menu, which listed countless choices. Admitting we were in over our heads, a Sommelier, Geppino, was sent to our table. He was wonderful! Warm, friendly, helpful and extremely passionate about his role. He suggested a 2020 Chianti we thoroughly enjoyed, and which paired well with everything we ate. We were so taken with his hospitality and energy, that we took two bottles of wine home with us! My husband ordered the Raviolo for his first course, and the Beef for his second. I chose to hand my selections over to the chef, ordering the "In Our Hands" portion of the Scent of the Land. Everything that came out, was beyond fabulous. Even my husband, who is not a foodie, gave high praise. There was artistry in every presentation. Proteins were melt in your mouth tender and enveloped in savory sauces and tender pasta. Natural fats were beautifully balanced with subtle bits of acidity that left your palette satisfied yet craving for more. You could taste culinary expertise in every bite, with each plate being perfectly portioned. With each serving, it was obvious how much care the kitchen put into each dish. Service was on point, with staff constantly circling the restaurant, watching to see if anything was needed. They were friendly and engaging, and made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. Il Buco served up some of the best food we have ever had. True craftmanship from beginning to end.

The chef's starter was not my favorite, very mushy textures for the burrata esque one and the octopus one, but the potato one was fine. The bread basket with an assortment of breads is delicious. The Giglio pasta with salmon comes moving which is cool, but it was also very unique and good. The catch of the day was solid. The gnocco was great, but also my vegetarian family got the dish modified so who knows what it was supposed to taste like actually lol. The tiramisu was very different but good and the tiramisu espresso martini was out of this world tbh

The top floor restaurant is the one I am talking about. The views from the front windows are excellent. But the view is only a bonus. We were greeted and sat right away. Someone immediately came over and offered us water and menus. The sommelier came over and she was very helpful in selecting a great and affordable wine to go with our meal. They started with a mini pizza as a complimentary appy. It was nice to offer it, but it was not as special as every other course we were served. We started with the Zucchini Flowers - pictured. These were so delicate and delicious. Very glad we ordered them. I got an Amalfi coast staple dish, Spaghetti and clams - pictured. This one was my favorite version of this dish of the three times I got it at different restaurants in the Amalfi coast. My wife got the gnocchi - also pictured. It is vegetarian and also was delicious. The service was always fast and helpful with any questions. This is a highly recommended place for a special dinner.

The food doesn't measure up to other spots in Positano. I had the Spaghetti with Zucchini (€24) as a first-timer and was underwhelmed. I will assume other local restaurants do it better since the sauce did not impress. Spaghetti with clams (€30), Lobster and ricotta ravioli with thyme, yellow cherry tomatoes and lupins (€40) and Grilled lamb chops with roasted potatoes and vegetables (€35) were 3 other dishes we ordered. Spaghetti and lamb were good. Not big fans of the ravioli because of the sauce again. The service was incredibly quick and attentive-definite 5 stars in this area. This restaurant works in a pinch, but I'd venture out if you want a better meal.
