What I can say is that the school seems organized and a safe environment for students and parents. The staff was aware of my visit, which indicates that there is a clear mode of communication and things must run pretty smoothly. The child seemed comfortable with the staff and okay with my presence which indicated to me that the students must feel safe. It wasn't the easiest navigating where I needed to go to find the room in which the observation was, but once I asked someone, I received friendly and effective directions as to where I needed to go. The only reason I am giving a four rather than a five-star review is that I have only visited once, and do not know how this school actually functions.

The teachers and staff have been friendly and helpful, orientation was well organized, and my kid feels comfortable at school. There are lots of after school sports and activities and a great music program. Parking is crazy, but it is easy to have him take the bus. I'm sure that their are many of the same problems you would expect at any middle school, but I know lots of families who have had there kids here for all three years without any issues. This school is really making leaps and bounds academically!!! They are bringing their test scores…read moreup in huge numbers every year. They have had multiple articles written about them in all the local newspapers and have even been the subject of a book. The teachers work extremely hard to help the kids get to where they need to be. I've seen a lot of whats going on there with the kids and the staff is awesome as well. They work very well together to achieve great results. I know when I have kids they are for sure going to Marylin Avenue School!!!
