Incredible pasties and savory pies - find them at the Fulton Street farmers market on Saturday mornings. The Yooper is the classic (steak, potato, onion, rutabaga) and is hearty and warm. Incredible beef pasty! I had the Yooper Beef Pasty from the South Haven Farmer's Market on a Wednesday. Delicious and savory, almost like a pocket pot roast! Whenever I've had other pasties, they've been too dry, I think in an effort to avoid a soggy dough. But these were PERFECT. Even my husband commented on the flaky delicious dough! My daughter had the seasonal flatlander (potato and different kinds of cheeses) and my husband had the breakfast pasty (sells out FAST). Both were great but we agreed that the Yooper was the best of the three. We bought these and drove two minutes away to enjoy them while gazing at beautiful Lake Michigan. Service was friendly and quick. Cost in Aug 2024- Three for $20, credit cards accepted. Parking at the South Haven Farmer's Market at 10:30AM on a Wednesday was easy and free right behind the stand, wheelchair accessible. DEFINITELY coming back! read more
