Since moving to the San Luis Valley, Sam's Club is not accessible to me anymore (unless I drive 2-1/2 hours to Pueblo), so I looked into Valley Meat. The price of their beef short ribs is actually comparable, if not less expensive. I've also bought pork belly, and they cut them to however I want them. Meats that are not available at Walmart, City Market or Safeway, I buy them at the Valley Meat Market. Recently, I bought ox tail there. I have two large German Shepherd dogs. I buy quartered raw femur bones regularly at Valley Meat with prices that do not break the bank. My dogs love them!!! I have to mention that the folks at the meat market are also very nice and friendly. As soon as you walk in, someone will immediately help you. If you do not like to wait, give them a call and place your order. Just let them know when you want to pick up, they'll have your order ready for you. Try them...they have excellent fresh meat!!!

Food was very good, generous, well priced, but unfortunately, the new hire didn't quite have it together yet. She was unfortunately all on her own for portion of our time there. And was very slow in responding. However, her happy demeanor, smile and apologies. Definitely made up for it. I'm sure what time her expertise will improve. BTW, fred, Cook needs to work on his onion rings, skill, they came out in one big clump.

However, I had a VERY tasty burger (ordered 'The Burger') with the standard set-up (lettuce, onion, pickles, tomato) and a side of (get this) sauteed broccolini! I like veggies and was absolutely thrilled to find more side offerings than the usual fried stuff. My burger and side veg were really good! The Hubs ordered one of the mac-n-cheese dishes and didn't seem thrilled with it, but said it was OK. They seemed a bit understaffed, but kept checking in with us to say that they'd be with us shortly. And they were. It wasn't a long wait. Maybe I should note that we were here mid-week around 1 PM or so. They didn't seem too busy, but this looks like it might be a small operation. Service was friendly and the restaurant was clean (including the restroom). I'd stop here again if I'm ever in the area.

Prices were quite a bit higher than shown previously. However the portions and value were good and we didn't know until leaving that the price included the tip. They had a great drink menu - from just coffee and espresso options to tea to blended drinks. Grabbed a Matcha and London Fog - not the best we've ever had, but still tasty and a good start to the morning. Also had nice breakfast options. Comfy seating options. We were able to grab a nice couch to sit and enjoy. They also had free Wi-fi and clean bathrooms. Street parking was easy to find. Overall, a good choice for your morning coffee!
