Granola with fresh berries and a side of bacon

Enjoyed a great Mother's Day brunch as a treat from my kiddo and was surprised when we were able to be seated fairly quickly on such a busy day. Our waitstaff were efficient and pleasant during our visit. Noise level was mild in the rear dining area near the bar. Food was great and prepared well. Free parking was available across the street from the restaurant.

Adorable!! Staff was very nice! The back patio area was so cute with lots of seating. The interior was small but charming! I got an orange blossom matcha and it was delicious!

Great ambiance with the cute outdoor garden in the back! We got some matcha drinks. The staff was very nice, kitchen looked clean, and drinks were delish!

Gralehaus might be the best breakfast spot in Louisville! Atmosphere is top notch - set in an old house but looks like a cute cafe inside. Smaller spot so be prepared to wait but the wait typically goes by fast if you have a smaller party! So cool being able to see the chefs prepare the meals and how it call comes together. Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy!

I've been coming to this place for years, almost every time I come home to Louisville and have a spare morning to grab breakfast. It's a B&B that looks like a quaint little house, and the inside is so comforting and warm feeling. Food is absolutely delicious, I don't know the chefs but they need a raise asap. I always get the biscuits & gravy (heavenly), bacon, and eggs; when you visit, thats what you have to order. Service is always so kind and embodies the sweet southern hospitality that makes people claim Kentucky as part of The South. I will forever be a Gralehaus fan, thanks for always serving Louisville well

You just found your new favorite breakfast/brunching spot! Our favorite place we dined throughout our Louisville trip! Operating inside an old Victorian-style home built in the 1900s, that also functions as a Bed & Breakfast, Gralehaus will satisfy your belly with a great meal featuring ingredients and items from local farms and food artisans! This charming restaurant is the perfect addition to your next brunch endeavor! Highly recommend getting there before 12pm. We walked up around 11:15/11:20am and we were pleasantly greeted by the front door host. We were told there was going to be about an hour wait, which for us, we just really wanted to eat there so we put our name down. (Bonus Tip if you have to wait: Drive over the Fat Rabbit and go thrifting! My boyfriend splurged and found vintage band tees, collared button down shirts with the tags still on for a bargain, they also have stickers, jewelry, pins and books etc. also walking distance to more shops to browse or window shop located only a couple minutes up the street!) To order, you walk up and order with someone who will send it right to your table/seat. There are outdoor options available as well! The biscuit was melt in your mouth fluffy, the matcha was 10/10, Tomatoes were in season and I am so happy I trusted the person who took out order because it was the perfect BLT bacon = perfect crunch!

The wait was definitely worth what I got at the Gralehaus. Had it not been for my boyfriend, I would never have stepped foot in this place as I simply didn't know about it. I've unknowingly passed it several times but now I'll be back. I found my latte to be lacking in sweetness but I'm sure I could have just asked for sweetener. Easier to add than to take away. The Eggs and Grain were so good. I loved the farro which added nice texture and filled me up! Overall, a nice healthy dish with good flavor that I would get again, but maybe without the feta which was a little strong

Was in Louisville for the weekend and had Gralehaus bookmarked so decided to check it out. There was already a lineup when I got there which was a few minutes before it opened. It was busy inside but the decor was cute and cozy. They also had outdoor seating but it was a bit chilly for outside. Staff was really nice and friendly. I had to wait a bit for the food to come out and it was a good portion size for the price. It tasted fresh. I had leftovers too. Overall, not a bad spot but not sure if I would wait (good thing I wasn't that hungry yet!)

Cozy breakfast spot on Baxter in the highlands. They open at 9AM and there's always a line. Nice folks work there and good food. Only seats about 45 people. Mostly indoor tables, but a few outside and also bar seating. Breakfast sandwich was good and "the best coffee cake" was good, but really had a lot of sugar piled up on it. Tried a "beermosa". Was good, but had to add a little more OJ. Will be back!

Super cozy and inviting space! On the weekends, prepare for a wait. This Friday morning visit, we were seated right away! We ordered lattes and food, see pics! Everything was very tasty- layered flavors that leave you satisfied. When the weather is nice, I recommend sitting in the beer garden.

Oh my gosh ... it did not disappoint! We have been meaning to come here forever but our schedules wouldn't allow but so glad we finally can mark this show stopper off our list! I went off other reviews on tik tok & got the breakfast biscuit... probably the best breakfast sandwich i have EVER had. The sauce they put on it is to die for & my husband's omelette was gorgeous. Cant wait to come back in the warmer months & maybe sit outside in the adorable courtyard area! The only issue was parking... we got a ticket in the time it took us to walk across the lot to the restaurant, where you check in/validate your parking. It seemed petty, like they must have been standing there watching us walk away from our car, but we successfully disputed it & will try to park on the street when we go again. It takes away from the experience if you're dealing with an aggressive parking situation.

Very well made food. Cool and cozy vibes. All employees there seemed to truly care. I enjoyed all the food but the atmosphere was a bit gloomy at times.

    Ask the Community - Gralehaus

    Are there gluten free options?

Yes! We recommend the veggie or pork hash, or the lamb merguez and grits.

    Do they take reservations?

No, it was first come first serve. Best to come with a friend so one can grab a seat while the other orders at counter.

We had a couple cocktails in here and the service was excellent even though it appeared they were filled to capacity. There were 4 of us in our party and we were seated at a table in the corner near the bar. Was definitely a cozy spot with so many people being in there and the bar being full. I had The Holy Ghost cocktail and it was a pomegranate hibiscus sour, it had just the right amount of sour! I do not like bitter drinks and this one was good and easy to drink. My husband had a couple of dark beers, I do not remember which ones but he liked them. They had a nice outdoor area but it was a bit too cool for that but it may be worth a return in the Spring to check it out. Bathroom was also really cool as the decor and theme spilled over into it. We will be back.

I got the Mango-Colada Sour, and this was delightful. It seems like Butchertown Brewing really excels at sours, fruit beers and fun concoctions. So if you're not afraid to "fruit the beer," this is a good place to check out. They also have seltzers, hard sodas and more typical beer offerings. And while it is small, you can still easily find food. It's right across the Mellwood Art Center courtyard from Danny Mac's Pizza (my all-time favorite Louisville pizza spot!). They will have a Venezuelan restaurant going in next door. The few times my friend and I have been back we have encountered Brody, bartender/taproom manager. We visit breweries frequently in different states and will say their staff was not as warm and didn't seem to want to be there (maybe they just started their shift ‍). Tried to order the Pink Miata Weather and the Pilsner but both were out. Odd because it's Wednesday and they told us if you come back Friday and they should have their Pilsner. If the Pilsner is your best seller why wouldn't you have more? They said we could do cans but opted to try something else that was okay. Who wants to do cans if you visit a brewery - typically you want a draft?! From a marketing perspective they had Sweater Weather (which is not bad) but it's hot as heck outside and that's year round on tap. ‍ We were going to try their pizza but that beer experience threw us off so went elsewhere to grab a bite.
