    Shopping Quarter, City Centre

TradeMeIn is one of the few, independent stores which buy and sell games, mobile phones and tech…read moreitems, it's most similar rivals include CeX and Game, both of which have stores nearby, for me this store is much more modern and vibrant than other trade-in retailers with a blue theme, it just felt clean and modern inside which you generally don't get with CeX. The location is in Leeds centre, although being in St John's it is a little isolated and doesn't get the footfall which the main city centre and the likes of The Trinity does. The quotes here for trading in items seems rather generous, although for my phone I had been quoted higher from both Mazuma Mobile and Music Magpie, the quote I was given was much higher than any mobile phone networks recycle scheme and their nearest competitors, Game and CEX. The store was a little small, so the selection could have been better. There was a large selection of more older games and DVD's compared too new-ones. I don't like their website, it makes it rather difficult to set up an order and the database just doesn't work online, for example, if you searched for an iPhone it would come up starting with 3GS first, with around 20+ pages, and if you search the iPhone name and model exactly, it doesn't come up so this filtering system just isn't working and needs work, to improve the customer experience before coming into the store. With trade-in prices on average better than its closest rivals, yet not the best overall and a good store feel which is how a trade-in store should be, of course, it can improve based on making sure it is easier to get a quote, and perhaps the size of the store and location to a certain extent, it still is a slightly above average store in general and anything less than a three-star rating would surely be an insult for a store which I see high potential in to be upgraded in the future.

This branch of GAME is one of 2 in the Arndale, this is by far the biggest game in the Arndale, the…read moreother is just like a box. This is the store near Thorntons and WHSMITH. This is a bright store compared to other Game's, normally Gamestation's are dark and Game stores are bright and hence since the merger that hasn't change, especially with the Manchester Arndale's two branches. I came in here today, to ask the difference between the Day Zero and Standard edition of the new Call of Duty - After being given the Day Zero edition in the other game store, he explained the differences quite well, as I am not up with all the games in that catergary, he could of explained it better but I relativley understood even though his explination was more towards tbe stores target market of hard core gamers. Before going into administration, Game prices were really high priced, but now the prices have came down, they is some really good deals like they had for Black Friday and some, all year round but still some products are far too high compared to sites like Amazon. This store has a better selection than the other GAME store in the Arndale but this is probably because it is at least 3 times as big as it and the layout of games does seem easier to see. Despite being better than the other Game in the Arndale, as I have not purchased from this store in quite a long time, I can only match my rating for the other GAME store because I have not had a proper look at all their products and prices in this store, selection and bought a product in quite a while, It would be unfair to judge this store now on a experience of 1, 2 even 3 years ago so I can only judge based on my experience dealing with a member of staff and having a quick look round today.

pos and shelves are always of a high standard here and probably one of the best tech cabinets I…read moreknow of in most game stores..the staff here work hard to keep this place in good organised condition and it shows. They are always here to help and offer great advice to even experienced gamers who think they don't need it haha like myself.. Of course expect long queues if there is a new game release and especially around Xmas..but there's always the console area to help pass the time..that's if they haven't been nicked... Overall if you are not experienced in gaming and need to buy presents for those special occasions..come here..Oh and if you sell your phone here they will match CEX ..saves waiting in the CEX queue!
