I ordered a regular size with banana, strawberries, and blueberries. They do not skimp on the toppings! But I have heard good things of the new-ish Fruit Stand, located right by Cleveland's Playhouse Square, so I resigned to paying $13 bucks for a bowl of fruit and granola, and tried it out for lunch before a show in May 2026. This place was HOPPING at 12pm on Sunday in May 2026. And the music they had on were all early-2000s BOPS! It is also very instagram-friendly inside. If I had more time, I would have gotten better pictures. The young girl behind the counter was very sweet and helped me create the best bowl for my mood that day. I ordered the medium acai bowl ($12) although I was worried if I was going to be able to finish it in time for the Broadway show I was going to next door. (Spoiler alert - I definitely finished it!). I got the mixed soft serve base of strawberry acai and peach soft serve. It had melted by the time I got to it as it was on the bottom. #life of a slow eater Then I got to choose 3 fruits. I chose banana slices, strawberries, and pineapple. As for the crunchy toppings, I got half and half of birthday cake granola (yes) and oreos (yes yes)! Then had honey as my drizzle. They were VERY generous with the honey! My creation looked gorgeous! I went and ate it quickly in their upstairs seating space and dealt with a little bit of a sugar crash later in the day! I wish they had some healthier crunchy and drizzle topping options! And my strawberry slices were still a bit frozen. But overall, I loved my lunch from The Fruit Salad. I wish I had had more time to enjoy it since I had to eat it really fast. Next time!!

I'm so jealous we don't have this local business in Cleveland, because if we did, I'd surely be here once a week. I love it that much. Jason, The Fruit Stand owner, started his local business to help bring fresh, affordable fruits to the community. When I went to Kent State, we had nothing but Chipotle and pizza and other collegey food stops, so it's amazing to see how deeply the tide has turned around dining options off campus at my beloved Kent State. Located within the Acorn Alley development, The Fruit Stand has an easy parking lot (and I believe it may have even been the former Popped popcorn location). You build your own bowl with base, toppings and fruit. So easy! The staff is super helpful and will be happy to help you build something delicious. My bowls are always AMAZING, fresh and filled with so much flavor. You really cannot beat the value for this fabulous fruit bowl. I could honestly count down until they moved to CLE if they ever did. Check them out!

BF and I split a regular acai (cherry + strawberry flavored!) bowl with 3 scoops of fruit, walnuts and melted chocolate! There was a cute seating area inside, a clean bathroom and even a little ice water station. I loved this surrounding area in Kent and it's food that you don't feel bad after having a lot of! Workers were friendly and there was parking available in the lot downstairs!

I tried the Electric Mango Bowl, which came with granola, green apples, mangoes, biwi, strawberries, passion fruit syrup, and coconut shavings. So refreshing and flavorful! There was definitely a generous amount of toppings compared to the base. The bowl looked a bit small at first, but I was surprisingly full by the end. I think it's really fun that they offer different fruit bases. I would be interested in trying their signature Aruba Ariba bowl, which is a tropical blend of Electric mango, Blue Spirulina, & Dragon fruit bases. Service was fast--my bowl was made quickly. Since I ordered it to-go, they wrapped it in saran wrap and tin foil to help insulate the coldness, which I appreciated. My only small note is that it got a little too sweet toward the end. Still, a great spot if you're craving something tropical and vibrant!

For brunch, I bought the Aruba Ariba Bowl, Monkey Madness Tosti, and Aruba Sunset Smoothie. My husband had no interest in ordering anything. The total price was $33 plus tax and tip. Several minutes later, my foods were ready. I ate my meal inside the restaurant, which had plenty of tables and seating, including a swing. The foods tasted fresh and sweet. We did notice flies flying around. Later, the business downloaded my photos of my foods from my Instagram and posted them on their Instagram, Facebook, and business website without asking me for permission, crediting me by name, and compensating.

This is one of those spots where either 1) the person who opened this thought you just throw money…read moreat a franchise and VOILA! you start making money. Not realizing you have to actually be there and well; work. *or* 2) There's some corporate overlord who says "your labor can't be over so and so percent!" so they can't have more than one or two people on the clock at a time. Either way; it's the same result. One; and sometimes on a good day: two... grumpy employees who make the visit as pleasant as a root canal. If you want to wait 45 minutes for a very expensive; very small bowl; while the employee(s) gets completely overwhelmed by the number of online and pickup orders, then Bahia Bowls is right up your alley. I'm going to give the hourly workers a pass here. Mainly, because the couple times I've been there, they were getting orders from ten different places; and expected one person to be able to handle it. That's really bad management/ownership. Worst case, the owner/franchisee can come work *with* them, because that doesn't affect labor at all. Leaving your employees on an island is just going to cause unpleasant workers, giving unpleasant service, making people give unpleasant reviews, and ultimately never coming back. If this place wants to exist through all of 2025 and beyond; they better get their stuff together ASAP.

This one is located right down the road from the Marriott & it's really easy to get to. Plenty of space for parking & even on a Wednesday night with weather In the 40s there were a good bit of people. I was greeted & served quickly. There isn't every flavor online at the various locations because it looks like they rotate flavors; there's still TONS to choose from. They let you have samples so might as well try a few. All 3 flavors I had: s'mores, strawberry cheesecake chunk & banana cream pie were delicious. It was hard to choose between them but I settled on the strawberry cheesecake. The ice cream had a great ratio of strawberry puree & cheesecake chunks all throughout. The waffle bowl was pretty delicious. I also noticed how cheap it was. For a waffle bowl with a solid serving of ice cream it came out to less than $5! You can't find ice cream of this quality anywhere cheaper. I will definitely be back & I highly recommend stopping if you're anywhere nearby an Handel's. It's some of the best ice cream I've ever had.
