Adult…read moreclasses are available, but this review is specifically from my experience for the youth program. My daughter has been going to Guido's Martial Arts Academy for almost 6 months now. I can confidently say signing her up was one of the best decisions we made for her. She has grown immensely in her confidence. Her school life has improved. Her focus has improved. Guido's has helped shape and build her to become a strong, confident young lady. I'm excited to see her continue to grow. The program is very hands on and I love the set up of the structure. The program allows you to attend as many scheduled classes as you'd like in the week. We always strive to attend at least two classes a week, but try to take her more often is possible. All of the instructors are excellent and have very unique characteristics they bring to each session. Shihan is always around and available to offer any assistance needed for the children or the parents. We had a school situation with our daughter that popped up. I spoke with Shihan about the situation and asked if he could speak with my daughter and he did. It was the perfect conversation she needed to hear from an amazing role model to help guide her back to the right behavior. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL…read more The owners of this studio HAD been very accepting of my child who had just begun taking taekwondo lessons for the first couple of weeks, but the sparring equipment that they supplied continuously fell off and was poor quality, but I figured "whatever, they're supplying it for free". I noticed a lot of the other kids had their own sparring equipment so I asked another parent and she told me I could order it off Amazon. I ordered new wrist and shinguards off of Amazon but I figured I could continue using the body guards that they already had because it rarely came loose. When I brought my kid back the next lesson, they owner sat all of the kids down and went on a long rant about how rude it was to buy equipment online and not through them, and how it was disrespectful to continue using the other equipment that they provided. My kid was really upset because they were obviously being singled out, and it wasn't even their fault! I didn't even know that they sold equipment, and I just couldn't keep using the cheap and old equipment that they had provided since it was affecting my kid's ability to spar. That being said, if they had a problem with how I spent MY money they should've talked to me privately! Not yell at my child in front of the whole class! Horrible experience, we are never going back.
