I was worried, because the lobby was full, but this was probably the quickest that I've been taken in to a back room. I was given the pre-exam by an assistant to the assistant, and within a few moments, PA Sawyer came in to check me out. A couple of x-rays were done, and I was told that I had very photogenic bones, and that they looked very youthful. This brought the visit from a 4 star to a 5 star. I was then explained in detail what my symptoms were a result of, and how to help alleviate them going forward. Her bedside manor was top notch and even though I was given a shot, and some semi-not-so-good news, I left there feeling really good about my visit and the future of my elbow. I'm going back in six weeks for a follow up, but she said if I was feeling better, that I could cancel, which shows me that they're not just in it for the appointment revenue. I'll be back again for sure if I ever need anything.

We moved a couple of…read morefamily members from vulnerable populations to South Carolina after the death of another member of the family. This patient hasn't had medical care in years, has moderate cognitive and substantial short term memory issues, and didn't know how to navigate support systems. Dr. Morgan has been helping us identify specialists to deal with his laundry list of medical needs. One of the most important aspects of care, especially with vulnerable individuals, is to treat the patient with dignity and respect. Dr. McKoy addressed our patient directly and has crafted a plan to deal with his issues. He has a care team to support our preparation for surgery and to help our family member and us through the process. I feel like we're in really good hands. One final note. Dr. McKoy is a person of faith, and asked if he could pray in advance of surgery and right then. He paused and offered a prayer in the moment. Why is this important? Haven't we all been seen by a medical practitioner who was arrogant and less than supportive at some point? No matter how brilliant they might be, their demeanor is painful. Frankly, I believe it's critical to have skilled providers who are able to engage with their patients on a human level. Dr. McKoy is an excellent example of such a practitioner.

He performed surgery, and my pain has been gone for years. In the past year, Dr. McKoy has replaced both of my hip joints. He is personable, caring, and a wonderful surgeon and I would trust him to do any necessary operations. He is also a great doctor for accidents to the skeleton that do not require surgery. He explains what has happened to your body in an easily understandable way. Unlike many medical practices I have found the billing office is also competent and easy to work with. Dr. McKoy's medical assistant, Jason, is easily accessible and takes time to explain and assist you as a patient, too.

My ankle started to become a problem so I decided to see Dr. Lowery and I'm glad I did. He explained everything to me. He choose the simplest solution for my situation and he didn't over complicate it. I'm still in the process of recovery but I am really happy I found him. The missing star has to do with the billing process. Roper is horrible with billing. You will get a million bills for one procedure.

This place looks new…read more It's very clean, not a long wait at least the 1st day I got here. My Drs are Merrill and Wilson. These guys are lifesavers. They really do their best with their patients. Donna was so sweet at check-in and check-out....she wears multiple hats. The coffee thingy is the same one I use at work and I learned a new thing or two with each visit. Great place and very convenient for me for afternoon appts because going to Tricom would be an early AM adventure of a leave work early after my appt adventure.

I didn't have to wait super long either time, and they do X-rays onsite as well. There's a small parking lot, so you won't have to deal with a garage or finding street parking, which can be a hassle downtown... especially when you are an injured athlete, have a broken bone, or have any other mobility impairment.

Dr. Demarco put me in a more comfortable cast, was very reassuring. Also has a great sense of humor. He also recommended a homeopathic cream to help reduce my leg swelling. He did not push pain pills on me at all. In fact he said he preferred me to take tylenol or ibuprofen and use lots of ice packs. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good orthopedist!

This visit marks almost the end of a six month journey with Dr. Carroll who looked after me when I had trouble with my knees. He is a phenomenal physician who spends time ( as much as you want) with the patient. He truly listens and thoroughly explains all of the physical changes occurring in the joint along with an array of options. The education I received from him is truly outstanding. He does not rush to operate he weighs up all the pros and cons and truly works with the patient. I cannot say enough good things about this man. He is down to earth easy to talk to and takes all the time you want during an office visit. He is available Monday Wednesday Friday for office hours, doing surgeries on Tuesday's and Thursday's.
