Took my 2019 Ford Ranger in for check engine light (EGR Valve) dropped of on Monday afternoon to be picked up Wednesday. Didn't even start working on until Wednesday morning, their admission unsolicited. The answer they gave me was that I was low on coolant causing rough running and loss of gas mileage. Before I got home check engine light was back on and it was running like crap. They charged me 287.00 dollars for an oil change and some coolant!! They were the ones who came through to replace my battery and they have also come to jump my battery in the middle of the night. Ford dealership ignored me, but these people helped. Nothing is more unsettling than a breakdown far from home. There is the uncertainty about who to turn to at this time of need. There is also the worry that repair shop after shop is booked well into the future. I had to good fortune to contact Graf's Automotive in April 2023 when my fuel pump failed on the side of the road while hundreds of miles from home, and with surgery scheduled in Seattle the day after next. Dozens of calls to local shops were unsuccessful, until Graf's was recommended and I contacted them. They went out of there way to arrange an immediate tow from my hotel, provide a ride to the shop later in the day and, most importantly, located the parts and completed the repairs in time for me to be on my way and make my appointment. I must believe this is their standard level of customer service. Believe it or not, I keep in mind the option to have future work done at Graf's under more normal circumstances no matter the distance from home. I am that impressed! I brought my Jeep Liberty here to get looked at after my engine light came on. It took about 15 minutes, and Nick ran diagnostics and gave me a quote, and scheduled me for an appointment pretty soon after. I was shocked he didn't charge me $100 for the diagnostics like other car places out here (*cough* Lums) and was able to get me in so soon. I dropped my Jeep off in the AM, and it was done by 3. When I came to pick it up, he told me what I owed and I had to ask him to repeat it. It was about $300 less than my quote, due to the tech being able to fix the leak without having to take apart the AC. He could have not told me and I would have paid about $600, and I would have never known. Unlike other places that try and charge me twice for a part they ordered (*cough Lums). I had Nick work on my truck, I was extremely pleased....at first, then I picked my vehicle up, I found that they broke parts and then had the odasity to charge me for new parts and labor to fix what they broke, if that wasn't bad enough, they figured insult to injury was the way to go.... They actually had the balls to charge me 130.00 dollars to apply a terrible 1" weld on a crewmember, I've paid grafs 3134.40 dollars to have them stick it to me this way.... I finally (148000 miles later) needed a clutch for my 04 RSX Type-S. I called around and around and around and everyone here in "The Mook" responded to my clutch repair inquiry like I was trying to get a stealth bomber repaired. So I branched out, but wanted to stay on the coast, because driving over highway 6 with a bum clutch is no fun I would imagine. I found Grafs on Google with a couple reviews and here with one. Called, he did not sound amazed or even concerned that this was a little import in the land of pickups and SUVs. I made an appointment and 2 days later I drove her home. It is an old school shop, but Nick seems to know his ish and is very honest and forthcoming with issues that arise or problems you might have with other components of your vehicle.
