    Graffiti Workshop

Took a Graffiti Workshop with some girl friends and it was such a fun day! Our instructor, Ghost Face Mims, was so kind, interactive, and hosted a wonderful class. Definitely never could have done this on my own, so it was a great Saturday activity. Would be great for kids or adults! Would highly recommend.

We (family of four w two middle school age kids) had a private session w Ghostface Mims and it was incredible! He was a patient teacher & excellent artist - would highly recommend if looking for something fun to do in Brooklyn!

We took the Graff lesson and it was so much fun! There were three couples and we learned the basics of the type of paint to use, the kinds of caps available, and techniques to get thick/thin lines, shading, bubble letters., etc. we then did our own piece of art with help from the instructor. We loved what we made, and had a lot of fun doing it. We highly recommend this activity!

I had heard that Brooklyn has the best street art in New York, so I thought I would do something different and book a street art tour for my friend Christina and I. After reading many reviews, I chose Graff Tours, as they came highly recommended. The tour started in Bushwick, and when we arrived, the area was dead. Like no one around. We thought it was a bit sketchy and maybe we had been ripped off, so we rang the company and they told us the guide was just running a little late. Phew. We turned out to be the only ones on the tour (as a few people did not turn up), so it ended up being a private one hour tour around the industrial area of Brooklyn. It was fantastic. Our guide was awesome - we learnt a lot about the history of the area, the street art and the meaning of each one, the street artists involved and got some great photos! Would definitely recommend.

Mothers/daughters fun afternoon taking a graffiti workshop with Ghost Face Mims. He was an amazing instructor explaining the techniques used and coaching us along our journey of making our own canvas of graffiti art. It was a fun activity to do with our girls! The neighborhood is home to lots of graffiti art that is impressive to see as well. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend the lesson. They walk you through Spray Paint 101, then let your imagination run as you create a final product on a fairly large piece of canvas. Our instructor let us come up with the ideas and do the bulk of the work, but he added valuable creative input and did some "touch up" work that took our piece to the next level. He had great artistic vision and mastery of the art form. We were pumped up about how our piece turned out, had a lot of fun creating it, learned a lot, and developed a new appreciation for street art.

However, it was actually just a ferry ride, which is free, with no real organization of getting on except for running and making sure you can see the tour guide and then getting off to instantly to catch the next one back as soon as you got there. This should be explained in the details. Additionally, you do stop at the places mentioned but you do not get access to go into anything. For the Brooklyn Bridge it was basically just walking to the front for a photo and leaving. Same for Grand Central Terminal, you go in and walk around quickly while he explains a few things. For $220/pp, I expected a bit more. Martin was our tour guide and he was great. His voice was loud and he knew what he was doing. Just keep in mind that you should honestly be in shape for this tour because you are consistently having to jog/run to keep up with the tour guide to stay on schedule. I would not recommend for anyone who cannot keep up. All in all, we had a smaller group, so it felt more intimate and it was nice meeting others from different countries and states. And you are able to get nice pictures throughout.

Jerry uses a voice recorder at his set for the purpose of being able to listen back to his new material and make tweaks from there - only to find that an unknown lady has recorded a voiceover on the tape... what a wild surprise it was for Jerry Seinfeld and George Costanza, because of the erotic sensual tone of the lady's recording.
