Sampa BJJ was completely different from the very first interaction. They responded quickly, gave us a clear price range without any pressure, and were incredibly welcoming to our daughter on her first day. They even offered a free two-week trial with no strings attached, which showed they were confident in what they had to offer and genuinely wanted families to experience the gym before making a commitment. Since then, we've signed up and they have continued to exceed the expectations they set from day one. My kids are with coaches Tiff, Ivan, Samuel, and Jason. They definitely know how to keep all the kids engaged and enjoying their classes. My kids are 3 and 6, and both of them are loving jiu jitsu so far! In addition to self defense, the classes have helped build confidence, improve motor skills, demonstrate public speaking, and make wonderful friends as well! My daughter has joined for a few months now, and we have seen significant improvement in her skills already. My son just joined today, but he had so much fun and couldn't wait to go back! One of my favorite things is that when the coaches teach a new move, they will keep repeating the move for about a week until the kids really have it down, and they will also have refreshers of previous moves, so that it's not lost and forgotten. I think the repetition really helped my daughter learn quickly. We always wanted our kids to learn self defense. If your putting in the work you're going to get a great workout. 10 th planet is also extremely clean. the sauna is large, clean and has a TV and music which is better than any gym sauna ive ever been in. They sanitize the mats after every single class. They have a shower and two bathrooms so that gives members the ability to take care of themselves and facility. The coaches do a great job, ensuring that no matter the level of skill, you are getting the work in you need and they are trying to help you get better at the craft.

Warm ups were challenging. I really enjoyed the training style. Everyone was super helpful and patient. If I lived here I would 100% train here and have it be my home. I learned a lot. I was a bit intimidated at first, but the professor was friendly and quickly made me feel at home. He did not charge me a drop in fee and did not insist i purchase anything. Every single person greeted me and took me in like I had been part of the team for a long time. The Friday lunch class was filled with a lot of skilled players and I had a great time learning the move of the day (which I immediately started using). The class ended with 45 minutes of rolls to which I was grateful for as I rarely get to roll NOGI. I would highly recommend this school for its great training atmosphere and friendly team. I had been involved in martial arts on and off my whole life and when I had kids of my own, and I wanted to get them into it and get serious once again myself, we shopped other studios and actually spent time at one of them before leaving for something much better. Glendora Kajukenbo, owned and led by Grandmaster Doug Bunda (look him up online!) is wonderfully traditional, not corporate karate where you are trained to do dances with weapons (and pressured to buy them) for "belt testing". jiu-jitsu is great, but grappling alone won't help you if an attacker has a friend that kicks you while you are rolling around on the ground. This studio teaches, in detail, the mechanics of punches, blocks and kicks; real self defense. Adults will learn how to decimate attackers. Kids will learn respect, self control, confidence, discipline, and how to teach a bully a very deserved lesson and skills that could save them from predators. The school is a dedicated, close knit family. The instructors are not kids, they have kids, so they are patient and understand how to teach them - how to explain the moves, and also a good sense of how to make it fun. This is the real thing. We've been here a year, and we love it.
