It was my Mother's and I had sentimental attachment to it so entrusting someone with this task was stressful. I'd bring my clothing back there in a heartbeat.

I'm petite, so I need a lot of hems. I could have been a good customer - but my experience with a…read morejeans hem was bad, & so unprofessional. Tried on jeans and employee insisted their process is they have you, yourself, bend down and cuff the hem under. -They don't help you do this at all - and they insisted they only put 1 pin in the pant leg -- and it's ON THE SIDE of the pant leg! -1 PIN.- So you cannot see what the length of the FRONT (or back) of the pants will actually look like, because it's unfolding without a pin holding it up! But she will not take one minute to pin more than 1 pin - and INSISTED it be only on the SIDE of the pant leg, and that this is their process. (Also, just 1 pant leg, so if your legs or shoulders are different lengths/heights -- also, too bad for the customer.) -All of this was ridiculous.- I took a gamble because I was on a little bit of a deadline with upcoming travel (and this place came recommended) - but tried on the hemmed jeans and they are too short for my liking. In the end, I tried on & paid for brand new jeans in store (not easy for me, I have a hard time with jeans), tried them on at Anh, and paid for alterations - but now I don't like my new jeans. --How about that? I will not be going back there. People deserve better for such a basic thing as a hem! Got a dress & skirt hemmed at the same time as the jeans -They also would NOT put a few pins in these items either, when I tried them on before the hems were made -- but luckily, skirt & dress look ok. -Beware of this terrible hem process.- No alterations business should ever handle hems this way!

I can't recommend this place at all. I asked for the waistband of a skirt to be adjusted, and the…read moreresults were, frankly, embarrassing and unprofessional. The tailor chose a bright, contrasting thread color which meant the seam was immediately obvious. The seam was not aligned, leaving an obvious bump. The altered segment of waistband was noticeably thinner than the rest, and one side of the fabric was never sewn back, leaving a gaping hole on the skirt's inside. To top it all off, when one of the buttons came off, the tailor replaced it with a clearly incorrect button that he insisted was "close enough." I'd like to call this a lack of attention to detail, but this goes beyond that. Do not come here, you will be disappointed.

Maria altered my friend's wedding gown from a 12 to a 0, completely disassembling and reworking the sample gown purchased at a local shop. After seeing what she did for my friend I made an appointment for myself and my husband. She understood that the style of my dress was made to be perfectly fitted and flattering and it fit with precision. I appreciated her fashion sense and quick work. Thanks for putting your magical touch on our wedding day, Maria! Ps- fwiw I believe we spent around $250 for the tux, multi layered long tulle reception skirt, and the fitted (two layered) lace dress. It took her around a week to do her work. Highly recommend.

The fit was awful, the design was amateur at best and did not remotely resemble what we discussed and then you had the nerve to say to correct YOUR MISTAKES she needed to purchase more material. I wanted to cry, I told my girlfriend not to trust you. I offered to search every mall, boutique and / or back alley to find her daughter the perfect dress BECAUSE YOU STILL DID NOT HAVE HER DRESS MADE TWO DAYS BEFORE THE PROM. My friend, my trusting hard headed friend , still had faith in you. The DAY BEFORE THE PROM still no dress. You said "it will be ready before her prom, I promise " The day of the prom you presented her with a dress , it was not the dress you promised , the fit was off but what could she do the day of her prom but make the best of an awful situation. I'm sharing my experience in the hope that no other bride will have to go through the heartbreak…read moreand stress I endured. If you're considering trusting Oleksandra's Fashion Studio with your wedding dress, please, don't. What should have been one of the most exciting parts of my wedding planning became an absolute nightmare. For four months, Oleksandra reassured me that the dress would be exactly as I had requested, with no indication of any potential issues. She confidently promised that it would look just like the pictures I provided, addressing all my concerns with certainty. However, at the final fitting, she abruptly admitted that the dress I wanted was not possible to make. This came as a complete shock, as there had been no prior warnings or disclaimers. Until that moment, I was only met with reassurance that everything was on track, yet she failed to deliver on her promise. Let me be clear: design choices were discussed upfront. I asked all the right questions, and she reassured me over and over that the dress would be exactly what I wanted. I also want to add that I never asked for any discounts or tried to bargain throughout this process. My only concern was that Oleksandra could make the dress I wanted. There were no misunderstandings, no miscommunications--just broken promises. Oleksandra's behavior was wildly unprofessional and emotionally abusive. She constantly shifted between being overly polite and aggressive, gaslighting me throughout the process. When I raised concerns about the dress not matching what I had ordered, she would praise her work and claim everything was perfect. The moment I pressed further, she began yelling, blaming me for every issue--from my choice of shoes to my weight, despite us discussing these details from the start. She even went as far as calling me an ungrateful liar, refusing to take any responsibility for her mistakes. Her erratic behavior left me feeling cornered and manipulated. Oleksandra consistently rescheduled fittings at the very last minute, never once offering an apology. This pattern of delay felt intentional, as if she was purposely stalling to leave me with no time or alternative just before the wedding. It's hard not to feel that this tactic was used to corner me, forcing me to accept a dress I didn't want when I had no other options left. Oleksandra's Fashion Studio didn't just fail to deliver the dress I ordered--she delivered something that was poorly made and treated me with disrespect along the way. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. Your wedding dress should be a source of joy, not frustration and heartbreak. When it came to the issue of the money, Oleksandra refused to take responsibility for the dress she never delivered. Despite my polite requests for a refund, she became increasingly aggressive, giving me excuse after excuse. In one particularly wild phone call, she claimed she couldn't return the money because she had already spent it on "business expenses" and simply didn't have it anymore. She had no intention of making things right until I mentioned the possibility of filing a dispute with my bank. It was only after hearing the word "dispute" that she reluctantly agreed to a partial refund, further highlighting her lack of professionalism and accountability. From the first meeting, when there were less than six months until the wedding, almost four months passed before the final fitting, where everything escalated. With just over two months until my wedding, I was left without a dress. Now, seven months later, the issue is still ongoing with a dispute over the remaining refund. If you're a bride who values your time, your money, and your peace of mind--don't take the risk. You deserve so much better than what Oleksandra can offer.
