It is high time that I leave a review for this awesome place! Valen, Avelen, and Helen are nothing but the best! I have been coming here for over 5 years and I have never once been disappointed... I went to six different threading locations years ago prior to finally settling on this one because of how particular I am with the way the work needs to be done... I honestly can't say enough about how awesome Valen is!!!! I let her know one time, all those years ago, about how I wanted my eyebrows to look--I've never had to remind her since!! That says a lot... I come here every week, and if it weren't for this place I would have a giant hairy caterpillar on my face! |:-) The pricing is more than reasonable, but the service that is received is honestly second to none. Not only are they extremely good at what they do, but they are wonderful people as well. It's always fun even while I wait; I nearly always I'm laughing it up with the crew here each time I come. I have also been to the location in Scripps Ranch-equally good service there. Honestly, if you're looking for an alternative to waxing because you may have sensitive skin, or for any other reason, you need to pay these girls a visit... Update: Two months ago I went to do my eyebrows, and as mentioned before they messed up my eyebrows. In the left eyebrow they took so much hair that it made my face uneven. I been putting castor oil to help them grow. It has been two months and my eyebrows are completely destroyed. I'm very disappointed. I also did not add a couple details in my original comment since I do not want to be rude. But I think it is important to understand why my review is low. I made an appointment in advance, and when I arrived the staff was late by 10 mins. It was no big deal because I understand that traffic happens. However, there was a line. The staff member that I made an appointment with found out I was doing full face, and decided to do another customer (she did a walk in) since she was only doing eyebrows. I was a bit disappointed because I made an appointment a week in advance, and I had to wait an extra 30 mins. I also had a casting the next day so I was busy that day. As mentioned in the other comment, I was not happy with the results. I went again the next day (three hours before my casting) since they offered to re-do it for free. However, when I was explaining what I would like to change. I was given an attitude stating that my eyebrows were higher than another one and the shape looked the same (many people told me that my eyebrows were not even and I asked her to even it out the day before). She did do an okay job fixing the shape; however, she took so much hair from the middle of my eyebrows. Now my eyebrows are uneven. One is shorter than the other one. I would have not mind it, but it has been two months and they have no grown at all. I'm extremely disappointed and have no idea how to fix my eyebrow. read more

I like coming here as it's too far to drive to El Cajon where there are plenty of threading places and there are a few in San Diego Metro area. Grace Threading is falsely advertising $2 off any services. Sad because the employee tried to apply the promo code and their computer said it doesn't include threading services. It's not a fine print issue.. it's falsely advertising a deal and I'm not buying eyebrow pencils from Grace when I came in for eyebrow threading services which was $15 plus tip and having to comment on my service infront of the technician puts the guest in an uncomfortable position. read more

From the 2/4 times that I've come here, I've experienced pretty terrible service. I typically don't leave bad reviews unless I leave an establishment thinking about how terrible my experience was. Please read. I was a professional makeup artist for 7 years prior to moving to San Diego, and long-story-short, I know my brows. Due to the pandemic, I haven't gone out much so I let my brows grow out for 2 months prior to coming in. I was serviced by Donya and after she finished, I realized how uneven my brows were. She took WAY too much off the top of my left brow, making it look more curved while my right brow looked more arched. After multiple exchanges, she tried to convince me that it was due to the fact that "I had no hair there and she took nothing off the top" when in fact: A. I know my brows way more than she does. I've gotten my brows done here before and people typically do a great job with them. B. I can see where she took off hair. My skin is red and I have hair follicles there, thus there was hair that was removed by her, especially since they've been growing out. Why would anyone lie to your face about that? C. The kind of customer service that I hate the most is when they try to convince you that there is something wrong with you and not their practice. After checking out, she asked me if I've been serviced by them before, and I said yes. Then she had the audacity to tell me "Okay well next time, tell your brow stylist not to take off too much from the top." While my brows will grow due to her mistake, so will the bitter taste in my mouth from this experience. I will NOT be coming back Grace Threading. read more

I like this place... but I don't love it. They have very kind workers, and they usually have spots for walk-ins, but every time I go here, my brow hair tends to grow back fairly quickly. I asked for a clean up and pointed to the thickest shaped picture of eyebrows on the wall. She proceeded to shape my eyebrows in their THINNEST form. I will start by saying, I don't want to give a bad review, I really don't. However, when I have to come home and still pluck and clean up my eyebrows and reshape from an eyebrow job there is no way I can give a 5 star. The women who did my eyebrows was very nice! The place was clean and the chairs were comfy. There was a parking spot in the plaza right by the stairs, score! This was my first time threading vs waxing. I thought maybe with threading you can't clean up the eyebrows as well, but then when I look at the pictures it appears you can. And my eyebrows did not look like that. Granted, maybe I should have said something before I left, but my eyes were so teary (with no tissue offered to wipe) that I couldn't really see too clearly when she handed me the mirror. She did a great job on my upper lip. She cleaned up the eyebrows a lot, but there were still hairs I had to pluck when I got home. She also lost some of my shape on my right eyebrow and I had to try to get my shape back on my own. Also, it says free upper lip for 1st time customers. I made sure she knew I was a first time customer, but did not get the free upper lip. I had to pay for eyebrow and lip. She gave me a card to bring back the next time for free upper lip. Not sure how that would work since it says 1st time customers only and if I come back a second time I'm no longer a first time customer. All in all it was a mediocre experience. She did not extremely ruin my eyebrows to the point of no fixing. However, I most likely will not return. read more
