And that is where The Scoop really has me hooked as a dad. The service, especially how respectfully the workers treat the kids, is so welcoming. The pricing is quite fair. The dining area is consistently clean and neat. And the flavor selection is both broad and creative--they're willing to whip out some odd flavors where many places just stick to "the standards." You can tell the folks involved in The Scoop care, and the caring is the difference. Also, the location is pretty cool because after eating some pho next door and loading it up with the GOOD chili oil, I really need that ice cream cooldown.

Stay out here was very friendly though they were pretty young too. The store was pretty quiet too but the selection of ice cream wasn't too bad at all. If you are curious about the flavor they let you sample the ice cream. They even have only one non-dairy flavor for those that are particular. There are a couple of gluten-free flavors too. I do enjoy that it's open until 9pm. Overall, I thought it was a pretty average place for an ice cream store.

A young guy who worked there took my order and asked if I want writing on it. After I gave him what writing I want, he asked what color would I like the writing to be. I said red, please. Then he asked if I like some strawberries or caramel for decoration on top, I said that sounds good. We came to pick up my son's cake and this is what we got.. plain white cake with pale green writing and my son's name even written in lower case. He seems very sad that his cake looks so plain and his name wasn't even starts with uppercase D We all are very disappointed with marble slab this time. Potato salad - this is mayo based, quite different than the mustard based potato salad in the south. They added plenty of dill on the sandwich which made my colleague cringe since he also substituted for potato salad, but I thought it was pretty good.
