My daughter has been at GLP for the last 2 years and it has been nothing but a positive experience. The student to staff ratio is better than any you will find elsewhere and the program is set up to truly let children learn through play. I also love that the class is made up of students ranging in age so my daughter has always had exposure to play and language modeling from older peers. My daughter has learned so much through this model, not just social emotionally but academically too. I have no doubt that she is prepared for TK but we will miss GLP tremendously. The teachers are so caring and present with the kids and in turn you can see how much the students trust and love them for it in return. Grace Lutheran Preschool is a gem! We enrolled our daughter when she turned 3. She is about to turn 4 and we decided to keep her at the preschool for TK instead of moving her to public school. The staff is phenomenal. We know that our child is loved, not just supervised. They have a beautiful outdoor play area and garden. The indoor playroom is always set up with different crafts. They have little class pets. There are tons of books and a lot of wooden toys, not a lot of plastic junk everywhere. It feels very warm and welcoming, not sterile and cold. I love it there, my daughter loves it there. We feel so lucky to have found this place and we will be sending our toddler there as soon as she can master potty training! read more

My daughter has been attending Grace Lutheran for the last year and a half, and we are thrilled with our experience there. Miss Gayle is always very friendly and flexible, and she has an amazing crew of teachers working with the kids. There are at least 5 full-time teachers that all love the kids, and engage with them through play. The centers that are available for the kids give them hands-on exploration, learning, and excitement that are rotated on a daily basis - which my daughter loves. Their philosophy of letting children learn through play has been wonderful for our girl - she has developed great social skills, had her physical activity and curiosity needs met through outdoor play, and she has grown so much since attending Grace Lutheran. The bottom line is that these people are not like the for-profit childcare centers, they do this from a place of love and truly care about each child getting what they need to thrive at this age. Grace Lutheran has been such a blessing for our family. The environment is so loving and warm. The kids have the freedom to be creative, learn through play, and build relationships and independence. They align with the calendar for Upland Unified which is a big help if you work or have siblings in school in the area. Each teacher is so patient and loving. My son absolutely loves going. There are great, flexible options for days of week and length of day for your child to attend. The tuition is also very reasonable compared to many other schools around. We love Grace Lutheran! We were recommended by a friend whose daughter attends. We loved our old school until new ownership and changes of everything came into play and I was sad to leave teachers and my daughter's friends. But Grace Lutheran couldn't have been more welcoming to us. Every single one of their teachers are just so caring and sweet. They opened their arms to my daughter and were so encouraging when we first started. My daughter quickly made a new friend which multiplied to such a cute groups of friends I get to hear about each time I pick her up. My daughter loves going and is sad when it's not her day to go. This place is absolutely the most incredible preschool in the Upland/Rancho Cucamonga area, no question. I am an early childhood educator and this is my choice of preschool for my own children. I have visited all of them and the rest don't even come close. This school is play based, which is best practice for the age group they serve. These kids play hard and learn a ton. My older son left GLP ready for kindergarten and is now thriving academically because of the great start he had here. My youngest is starting at GLP now and already loves it. GLP is reasonably priced and the staff is warm and friendly, with a low student to teacher ratio. Spaces do fill up quickly so be sure to stop by and register early. read more

I couldn't recommend Grace Lutheran more! My son attend their play-based program for two years & he flourished. Diverse, hands-on, fun, engaging activities greeted us every day upon arrival. Ms.Gayle and the entire staff looked after my son with very sweet & attentive care. He was born with a rare genetic disorder which requires a very strict diet, one which results in permanent brain damage if not followed precisely. After speaking with Ms. Gayle and witnessing how the team watched over him closely at meal times, my anxiety of a group care setting melted away. Not only were they very attentive to his needs, they always reached out for celebrations to see how he could be included. He never felt left out at meal times, which is huge for our family!!! As an early childhood educator myself, I would recommend without any hesitation, the OUTSTANDING play-based program at Grace Lutheran. Also, the soccer organization they use there is great. Only downfall was the summer hours that drop down to 3 pm pickup time.
